That's funny, both my sets got bids today. Both by a zero feedback bidder. If that's you, my $39.95 each starting prices are certainly not overpaying since they were selling from $75 to $100 each about 4 to 6 weeks ago.
I need a bunch of SPs that you have. Are you interested in selling some? There are 16 SPs, 3 NAPs, and one TN that you have that I would be glad to buy.

Hey...good that was me. I was trying to find a price point for those two sets.....I don't think they were included in Beckett. The Ruth set was priced for about $15 (I think) and that was the only refernce point I had.
I just signed up for Ebay.............I haven't used it before (a little behind the times).

Why would you think there will not be a high series? It would seem that Topps would try to get Strasburg out in every market?
I've been looking for details also, but haven't seen any................still I would think they would ??
Just wish they would go back to making them on the old thicker card stock, the ultra thin card is OK for the modern series, but it curls up when they try to use it on the retro product.
I think I would rather see them raise the price a nickel than keep trying to reduce the cost to produce the cards (so they can keep growing their profit margin).
Back in the day, the price would go up, but the quality pretty much stayed the same. Now they try to keep the price the same by lowering the quality..............
I guarantee you there will be a high numbers set. Topps has produced a high numbers the past 2 years and with the Strasburg rookie, it is a given. It may be still a little early yet for any announcement.

I'm pretty sure I heard an annoucement earlier (I think it was from Clay through Kevin) that there would be no Heritage high numbers this year. I'm sure everything is subject to change, but I would have gotten preorder information by now if it was to come out by November.

Ya, that's why I don't think there will be a high series. Isn't right around the trade deadline that the pre-orders are taken? The card shops in Denver(several of them)say that there hasn't been any mention of a high series from Topps. Guess we will know soon enough...

Maybe it's not a big seller for Topps. I was at a card show a couple of weeks ago and saw 2009 High number boxes selling for $39, the vendor had at least a case to sell.
Maybe the 6 card in the pack (for the same price as the regular series) what part of the demise.
It would be nice to get the official explanation...........
It has already been confirmed by Clay that there will be no update this year. I think 2008 update boxes are 39 per also, and those have some really good auto odds and really good players in them.
Walt, Thanks for the info. I am really surprised that Topps is not doing high numbers this year.

I was really upset when Topps offered the high series in 2008 and 2009 because I had put so much effort into trying to collect the master set in the Spring.
I loved the design for the 2010 product more than I though I would. The photography was fairly decent, so I wasn't opposed to seeing the high series come out.
Ya, that's kind of the same way I thought, Brian. Well, maybe I'll go for the A&G set. I see boxes all overthe place, lots of them. Prolly over produced and worthless due to the shear amount. Didn't Topps learn this back in the 80's and 90's? Any thought on this....

Im sure the cost to produce was too much. 2.99 a pack doesn't really make topps money expecially when they are expected to include HOF autos in the product. There are much more collectors out there that will throw money at a product that cost 60 bucks a pack and topps only has to include rookies and young stars in the product.

Alma- Thanks for posting that. I think there's at least one mistake with this list. Alexei Ramirez (White Sox) is not listed, and I know for sure that he has a card. Not sure if there are other mistakes.
