<< <i>previous year threads have made it over the 2000 mark, 08 was 2600 posts. I would be surprised if 2010 hits the 1500 mark. Oh well. >>
Not because of the product, we lost a lot of traders this year. To me, the product is better than it's been in a few years, and in putting my set in the binder recently I was amazed at the overall centering. Nearly every card was 50/50, which has beenf ar from the norm in previous years.
welp I just took another crappy blaster box out of circulation, you all can thank me later. There are 5 left at my target, Im sure the one with something major in it will be bought by the guy who is buying his first wax of the year and really doesn't collect heritage but was jonesing for something.
I have plenty of stamp cards for trade...who needs em?
It is my understanding that the Mantle & Maris chase cards are in the loose packs only at Walmart & Target. The blaster boxes do not contain any of the chase cards. I did not notice any wrapper differences between the the 2 stores. If I am wrong, I am sure someone will correct me.
<< <i>Does anyone know if the Mantle and Maris Chase 61 cards are in blasters of only the Walmart / Target loose packs?
Also, outside from buying them at the store, is there any wrapper differences between to the two retail outlets?
I wasn't sure if the blasters were generic and didn't contain either, I haven't seen any odds for them on the wrapper, thought I'd check. >>
Public shout out to George for filling in some holes in my Dodger set. Much appreciated!
Does anyone happen to have an extra NAP Kemp? I'm also looking for regular chromes of Kemp, Ethier and Kershaw. Not much to trade, but I've got a couple of chrome and some SPs.
I agree it looks like Topps Quality worked on the centering, not many off centered cards.
Has anyone noticed that they have a slight curve to them (if you hold them up and look at the edge from the bottom), I don't remember past years having it,
I wonder if they are now using thinner stock, (similar to the trend of the regular topps).....................Kevin would probably know.
Special thanks to Jim once again who saved a card I wanted for me. This still is THE place for topps heritage every year. Anyone who has suggestions for Clay at topps on next years product or update, PM me and I will make sure he gets them
Today I sold 35 of my Heritage relic cards, including a few of the rarer ones. It was hard pulling them, considering the time I spent chasing them and the pride I had in owning and displaying them. Having said that, I just haven't been enjoying the chase of modern as much, even the retro sets. Now that the first chunk is gone, the rest won't be as hard to part with. I'll still do a Dodger set every year, but with today's sale, I think I'm pretty much done. I want to concentrate more on finishing up some long-dormant vintage sets.
Thank you to all of the terrific traders over the years: Nick, Kevin, Dan, Craig, Doran, Andy, George, Joe, Charlie, Jim, Kurt, Jason, Chris, Paul, Shawn, Ryan and Jeff (if I left anyone out, I apologize). It was a blast trading and discussing Heritage with all of you. Thank you all for your trust in trading, and for so many of you, thank you for your generosity. Specifically because of Heritage, I've been blessed to meet lots of really cool guys, and I appreciate the relationships I've built here.
Look for a post on the b/s/t board in the near future. If anyone has any set needs, PM me.
Geordie, I can't tell you how sad I am to hear you giving up on the Heritage. While I have not been as involved in building these sets as I had been, I still found a way to acquire a set each year. It is a shame that Topps doesn't realize their folly in over-pricing and diluting the value by over-stuffing sets with "inserts junk". You surely will be missed Warmest Regards, Charlie G
I will always think of Geordie everytime I pull a huge Dodger hit out of Ginter or Heritage, heck they almost fall from the pack into the envelope addressed to Geordie.
Does anyone have a 2010 ad panel Soria/Wells/Gutierrez for sale or trade? (Already tried B/S/T thread.) I also need a 2009 high number panel of Robinson/Green/Redding.
I have chromes, refractors, panels, sp's, and, of course, base cards from both years available.
Hey fellas, I haven't bought much Heritage since last year. Pinching pennies I guess.
I have bought 4 blasters. On the 2nd pack I pulled a Buster Posey Real One Autograph.
Let me know if anyone is interested in buying it before I put it up on Ebay. Not sure I'll go after this set or not. Need to finish up 09 low and haven't even started on 09 high number.
Anyway, shoot me a PM if interested. I'll take best offer if it is reasonable.

YA, also hate the Updates & Highlight cards thrown in with last years high series. Topps, get it together and quit making all of the sets cross over and stop making a majority of your sets retros. Too many and too much ...

Think there is quite a few left. Given that each team has a roster of 26 (I think), I think it would be safe to say there are 200-300 more, Then consider all the multi-player cards, world series cards, MVP's, old timer cards, team cards, league leaders, etc.

After waiting over a year on a Clubhouse collection autograph relic redemption card, it finally arrived!!
I can't get my scanner to work, but it's 22/25 authentic Dodger Stadium seat, signed by the one and only Bill Harris.
The back reads...............
Harris made one one start in his major league career, but it was a good one- a seven inning stint against the Phillies on 9/27/57. After allowing a pair of runs in the second inning on a RBI single and a run-scoring groundout, Bill settled into a fine groove, reeling off five straight shutout frames. He then handed the ball to a promising 21-year-old lefty by the name of Sandy Koufax.

I'm still waiting on a pair of Ibanez redemptions from 2009, even though he signed live cards for 2010. I already got an offer for a replacment but for a guy who only collects heritage and ginter, I know topps would send me sticker garbage. What is the chance that they would replace it with a 2001 Duke Snider auto? LOL

It looks like they made the retail interesting with the exclusive chase, but other than going into Walmart, can you buy these packs elsewhere?

Loose packs at each store I guess.
Thanks,
My 3 year old son opened a pack of 2010 Topps and pulled a million card redemption. I went and redeemed it and it came up as this:
Pretty cool, right?
I started looking at trading the card for maybe an early Mccovey or later Mays and I found this beauty:
I proposed a trade and the guy accepted the trade this morning.
The real question is, what do I give my son for the card?
