Those are some nice autos Patrick. I know that I was speaking a couple of months ago to a friend of mine that used to play in the NHL and is in the Rangers Hall of Fame as he had some cards on his desk that people send to him to sign. He is truely honored that people remember him and is shocked that they put money in for return postage. He said hell I would give them 5 bucks just for remembering. He said that when he speaks to some of his friends that are all that way just honored to sign still. Hockey is a great sport and for all of its ups and downs etc, the players seem to be class acts. It is rare that you have any of them getting into big troubles like the other 3 major sports.
When you said Sittler would not sign the HOF card, are you referreing to the "Legends" postcard set from the 90's (sold at the HOF), the Piwowarczyk (sic) set from the 80's, or something else?
also, still no guesses on the Phil Roberto combatee?
1983 Canadian National Junior Team...How did this team only win a Bronze Medal? They had 4, 500+ NHL Goal Scorers who had over 2500 NHL goals between just the 4. Plus another 3 guys had 40+ goal seasons. Not to mention Mike Vernon as a goalie. Mario Lemieux and Steve Yzerman are only 17 here!
Not sure why photobucket shrinks the scanned files...file look good on my PC...Dryden stamp page is 1597 x 1997 pixels...when I upload to photobucket it shrinks to 255 x 319...ugggh...tech help anyone?

Always neat to see my old works.
Not a card but my latest pickup was a Stephane Fiset Quebec Nordiques full sized replica mask. Never really cared for Quebec or Fiset but always loved the mask, it's one of the most recognizable from the 90's and being from a defunct team gives it some mystique.
BST board. Mike (54topps) had them listed and was selling singles with a few here and a couple there. I gave him a couple weks and then made a fair offer on the rest. Works out to about 750 cards. UPS guy is gonna hate us!

these, as well as the Sittler, were sent around 1995...just now finding them from the move

Bah, the 3 in 1 leaves a yellowish haze. My old scanner is better, but not compatible with Vista.

Great stuff ICE9. Especially the 73 Photo Album.

Not too bad for a raw purchase.
Still only missing one from Vachon set and a couple from Nielsen's set.
Collecting Gretzky is as good as Mantle in proportion.
Nice pick up.
I just got this and no I am not ripping - at least not yet.

Not that I'd throw it away, but I'd prefer OPC over topps. Still a nice rack.
newest pick up
While Topps carried about 6-10 players per team, the O-Pee-Chee has at least 10 to 15 of each squad.
For team collectors - OPC had to be the way to go.
Nice WINGS ....
