My second...er...first UHR got shipped today. Overnight UPS apparently. That's the one that was ordered before 1PM.

Looks like I'll have my hands on two this weekend. image

You can hold them forever and submit them as long as they aren't opened.

  • Do you have to let PCGS know when you submit the coin to make sure to return the display box and the coin book back ? IF I cant open the ship box from the Mint?

You have to indicate on your submission form that you want the packaging returned and pay the extra fee.

Great, long story short the Customer service said no that has been paid, DC (treasury) said nope, you owe us money. Paid and should be shipping 4 lots of stuff to me soon

Really disappointing about the delay, but I think I got a mint error proof pres today (see other thread)

<< <i>This is the text from Customer Service:

You can submit it in the usual fashion, unless you are requesting 1st strike which if after the cutoff date (to be determined) would have to be in the mint sealed package with the post marked date before the cutoff.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

My tracking number shows mine just arrived in Louisville and weights 2.4 pounds? How can that be for one UHR, what weight does your shipment show? Wonder if they shipped me 10? image

Dont forget the UHR comes in a very large, very nice box. I wonder what people who buy multiples will do with all the boxes as they are not safe friendly due to their size.

    The limit is one. image
  • Just noticed something:

The UPS box has NO DATE on the shipping label (unlike the good old days of Fedex)............ none whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!! so I don't think that the sealed box will be valid for FS consideration. Again, the paperwork/invoice inside is meaningless as I doubt whether PCGS is going to either run the UPS tracking number (why should they?) or risk getting into a disagreement with the submitter. The only boxes valid after the 3/11 cutoff would be those actually mailed to a PO Box or remailed with a correct official datestamp postmark. Anyone else considered this theory?

    Just thinking out loud.....................

SportsMod, if the submitter has a Registered Mail Receipt and copies it to PCGS, why wouldn't that work? Of course, it would have to be sent after the fact and PCGS would then spend more administrative time sorting through more paperwork. Ack. Or maybe after receiving the coin back from PCGS, the submitter could re-submit with a copy of the original Registered Mail Receipt? Argh.

Added: or, just get the Mint's Packing List Notarized and send it with the coin!!!!

    Heres my pics:

The box it ships in dosent even seem that secure. You could probably open the bottom and take the contents out ship that coin to pcgs and replace it with another one in six months and stick it back in the box and ship it to pcgs as a "sealed" first strike eligble coin, paperwork and all.

  • AND NOW...

A MOMENT IN THE LIFE OF SOMEBODY WHO HAS NOT RECEIVED THEIR UHR...

I awoke in a dark corner of my bedroom this morning almost dizzy but certainly confused and failing to remember how I got there. My heavy eyes moved slowly back and forth, and I saw in one hand I clutched a cell phone with my thumb reaching for the redial button, and my other hand formed the shape of my mouse with my forefinger extended as if to hit the refresh tab. As a faint chant across my lips spelled out U-H-R, I awoke from my slumber as if I had not slept at all. Barely awake yet in a panic dialing 1-800 and simultaneously logging onto my computer, my forehead broke out into a cold sweat and my fingers and hands began to tremble. I sprang off the floor, and holding my face in my hands I cried out 'what is happening to me'.

Nothing. Order numbers before and after mine were filled last night. Nothing wrong with my order - all is well according to the clown squad. These guys are really, really bad. I wonder who got paid off for selecting PBGS as the fulfillment contractor?

The latest number I've seen reported (other than the 2nd day shipment screw ups) is 30836. Since yours is the same I'd bet yours is a later 30836 and that is right were they got to yesterday. You'll see your email today coin tomarrow. I might see mine tomarrow also with a 30844 number since they got all the way up to 30836 yesterday.

  • Ok you freaks. Here's the latest stats as of righttttt NOW. This week to date, approximately 75 forum members reported receiving their UHR ship notification email. Approximately, 57 of the total 75 recipients also reported a Mint order number. These reported order numbers are conveniently presented below in numerical order.

AND PLEASE, STOP talking about FIFO. These orders are not coming out FIFO, and they will NOT ever get back to FIFO until they start pulling the orders from their system again. The bottom line is if you ordered your UHR before January 26th, your order is NOT going out FIFO. AND if you think this list is getting closer to FIFO, well then just ask all those hundreds of people whose order number falls within this range and have yet to receive their order. FIFO my a$$. :image

Okay, I squelched the urge to start my own UHR thread to ask:

When you get your mail message from the mint that your UHR has shipped, does that usually mean that it was delivered 2 days earlier or it's to be delivered today?

Just checking with the voice of experience?

Maybe I'll start my own thread, there have been so few of them image

    my large label has:
    "DATE: 03/03/09"
    iin the lower left corner

the driver brought his handheld computer. I asked if I needed to sign. "Nope, I think we're ok"

extra styrofoam layer in place of the book. there was a note about the book shipping separately, no charge.

capsule has about a 3mm gap between the halves. it's not closed properly.

    Order #: 30834xxx - 1 Order Date: 1/22/09
    Sold To: Me
    Ship To: Me
    Date Shipped: 3/03/09
    Amount Charged : 1193.95
    Tracking ID
    9101105499615757xxxxxx
    1ZE1988X0111xxxxxx
    Items included in this shipment:
    1. 2009 ULTRA HIGH RELIEF GOLD COIN (UH1) Qty : 1

Weird thing is nothing has been charged to my debit card. I even checked another backup card I use every now and then, but nothing there either. Early on there was a charge pending, but it dropped off like others have posted. I usually see the charge on my account before receiving a shipment email. Could it be the best screw-up the USMint has made so far? Let's only hope!! image

I received the E-mail on Monday Nite that it would ship. The shipping link had no info from UPS at that time. I keep checking Tuesday the UPS link, at around 5:30 pm est it had a link, indicating the delivery date and time on Wendsday.
