Hi, I've been reviewing this trhead for the past few weeks. I also have two orders pending, one for the UHR & one for he Lincoln silver dollars. The last email I rec'd was 2/10 informing me the expected ship date for the UHR was 2/20. I have not received any notification since. The ship date for the silver dollar was 2/19, yesterday. My cc is charged for dollars but the order has not been fulfilled.
Just called the mint and I'm very unhappy with their asnwers and lack of customer service. This is the 1st time I've experienced an issue with them. Been buying from them for almost 20 years. The UHR is being picked? Looks like the mint changed their work and process flows and screwed everything up for their customers.
I'm the Coin Network fella who received the coin (a little before Charlie). Not only did we both cancel the book, but if you look at the earlier posts when everyone was doubting Charlie you will see that he suffered the same computer glitch I did. His order form was posted showing a 12:56AM order time, not PM. Mine did the same but was shown as 12:40AM. I was surprised you all didn't notice that it showed that he ordered it before it went on sale and kept taking about FIFO, so I joined to let you know how the early shipping happened.

Given the current FS situation at PCGS on these coins, if I had the cash, I'd do the BIN on that sucker, request express mail delivery then ship it off to PCGS for an Express crossover/regrade. All before the deadline!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Once again, you're going under the operating assumption that that actually give a rat's behind. They don't. It doesn't matter how many calls they get. Look at it this way -- how many times have you been to the post office, for example, when there's only 2 or 3 windows open & 40 or 50 people in line. Do they make an effort to open more windows? No, of course not.. If anything, one of the clerks will actually close their window & shuffle off to have a cigarette or something. The same mindset is working at PBGS.

With all the well documented Mint fumblings associated with the shipment of the 2009 UHRDEs, I wonder what would be required to have the US Treasury Dept Inspector General initiate an investigation of: (1) Specifcally, how did the documented 1-2 UHRDEs get shipped in early Feb09 to individuals who's orders #s were not first in queue (actually far from the earliest order #s)? What happened to the US Mint's FIFO order processing? (2) As UHRDEs are purportedly being shipped today/this weekend: in what order # sequence are they being processed/shipped? Again, is FIFO order processing being adhered to (my sense: No!)
I cannot surppress my feelings of some "dirty dealings" being involved in what has occurred to-date (and may yet be continuing today).

The operative word in that is "purportedly". Reading the posts here over the last 24hrs, some folks are reporting calls to the MINT/PBGS and being told that UHRDEs are shipping today/this weekend and that their CCs "have been hit". I'm not suggesting that I really believe what they're saying at all..!!
But, if UHRDEs, might in-fact be shipping, what is the basis of the Mint's releasing/shipping them? FIFO by order #? They didn't follow this practice for the early Feb09 shipments.
Bottomline, I'd like to see some IG involvment to explain the 1 or 2 initial ships (again, were out of sequence) and how are the current shipments being/going to be done?

well, the PBGS people seem to lie, so who is really lying?
UPS does have an alternate tracking page like FedEx. I just entered my order information for the UHR without any response so I seriously doubt if any were shipped today. I can't visualize the Mint being so stupid as to leave millions of Dollars of gold laying in UPS warehouses over a weekend , then maybe I can with their recent actions.

(1) Specifcally, how did the documented 1-2 UHRDEs get shipped in early Feb09 to individuals who's orders #s were not first in queue (actually far from the earliest order #s)? What happened to the US Mint's FIFO order processing?
(2) As UHRDEs are purportedly being shipped today/this weekend: in what order # sequence are they being processed/shipped? Again, is FIFO order processing being adhered to (my sense: No!)
I cannot surppress my feelings of some "dirty dealings" being involved in what has occurred to-date (and may yet be continuing today).

where did you hear this?
I have heard of no one claiming this here. people have been -getting- their Silver Lincoln Commem's though. (ordered -after- the UHRs)
Today's the day!

this is all so sad, isn't it?

I might save the home call for late next week. Perhaps mailing their homes would be better first.

Bottomline, I'd like to see some IG involvment to explain the 1 or 2 initial ships (again, were out of sequence) and how are the current shipments being/going to be done?

well, the PBGS people seem to lie, so who is really lying?
and our needs would be better served as well.
you know, the ph #'s I gave for the US Mint Director's Office and the US Mint's sales and marketing office do have voice mail's.
contact with serious issues, not individual order problems. remember: "major system failures." These are the top dogs running the mint. the inspector general's office cares about "waste, fraud, abuse" not one order.
on the 21st:
make 1 (one) call to 800-usa-mint (you get nowhere and no results)
make 1 (one) call to the director's office 202-removed to protect my posterior
make 1 (one) call to the sales and marketing office 202-removed to protect my posterior
and they won't call everyone back, but you know that you and others have sent a bigger message that you're pissed at the PBGS lies and BS for letting the 20th pass with no action and no results and no excuses.

change happens. . get on board. (I can't do this alone.)

7 Pitney Bowes execs' home addresses in hand.... with 5 out of 7 home phones.... and 1 side business phone and fax....
am I sure these are them? absolutely 100%.
pretty good for tonight.
though, from that article posted earlier, it looks like I need to change the letter to say "ensure the change to required signatures happens" instead of "make the change."
I had a pending charge on my card for the UHR, but now it is gone.
The CC co. said "they don't just fall off over time" and "if they put one on and took it back, we would see nothing now."
now.... they see nothing. no pending charge.
