lol I didn't know the metalheads had come over to the darkside. They try very hard to be witty, don't lay into them too bad.

Sympathy donation fail. Tim is fail.

It was nice to see the effort made to help this person; sadly now the situation causes one to wonder if all of the problems stated by the family were/ are true.

My pappy used to say that the "trash never falls too far from the trailer".

I hope their kids grow up to be better people than the parents.
  • If I've overlooked a parallel thread, I'm sorry, but does anyone know how this situation was resolved? Was an apology finally issued? Did a resurrection take place? Just curious.

Tim hasn't logged onto the site since January 5th. I don't think we'll see much more of him around here.

Is it possible that the subject of this thread
has now moved out of the USA? Alaska maybe?

    Dear Buyer:

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your question.

I have reviewed the listing and show that they ship to
the united states only at the price of $49. In the listing
they do not state that they offer shipping to Alaska.

Therefore they do not have to honor that shipping price.
If you have further questions I suggest you contact the
    seller.

    Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,
    ******

No doubt. I'm sure he'll be caught eventually though (they always are).

  • Interesting post, Storm. Apparently, that Ebay associate has never heard of George Seward before.

Didn't read this thread the last few weeks.....could I get a link to the coin thread referred to?

    : sighs :

Part of me says this attempted scam is one of the many reasons why I don't post here anymore.

Another part, however, says quite the opposite.

Lesson #1: Don't ever try to scam this board. You may have some progress but in the end and before you receive payment, you will get busted.

    Lesson #2: See lesson one.

I see a great reason in why you SHOULD be posting here more often. When we saw an opportunity to help one of our own, a number of people stepped up and did just that. It's a great community we have here. Don't let the scammers ruin it for you. After all, you already know the Lessons. image
