It was nice to see the effort made to help this person; sadly now the situation causes one to wonder if all of the problems stated by the family were/ are true.
My pappy used to say that the "trash never falls too far from the trailer".
I hope their kids grow up to be better people than the parents.
If I've overlooked a parallel thread, I'm sorry, but does anyone know how this situation was resolved? Was an apology finally issued? Did a resurrection take place? Just curious.
Always looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks in a uniform PSA 3 (NQ)
Is it possible that the subject of this thread has now moved out of the USA? Alaska maybe?
Dear Buyer:
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your question.
I have reviewed the listing and show that they ship to the united states only at the price of $49. In the listing they do not state that they offer shipping to Alaska.
Therefore they do not have to honor that shipping price. If you have further questions I suggest you contact the seller.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, ****** eBay Customer Support

Part of me says this attempted scam is one of the many reasons why I don't post here anymore.
Another part, however, says quite the opposite.
Lesson #1: Don't ever try to scam this board. You may have some progress but in the end and before you receive payment, you will get busted.
Lesson #2: See lesson one.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I see a great reason in why you SHOULD be posting here more often. When we saw an opportunity to help one of our own, a number of people stepped up and did just that. It's a great community we have here. Don't let the scammers ruin it for you. After all, you already know the Lessons.
