You buying any of this stckplunge?
Didn't think so.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
You figure people are impulsive and NEED to have one of these. They will get them one way or another and will pay whatever the market is. If we find out a ton of these were minted, not literally, the prices will fall like granny on an oil slicked rain coat.
It would seem that if charted as a bell curve, on order date, the peak has passed. There may be some straglers, but it's got to be all but over from the Mint.
I wonder if the mint is ACTIVELY putting these in small orders hoping people only ordering 1 or 4 at a time won't be looking for the error... They should know by now that people ordering more than 20 at a time are looking for the error.
I hope you are right Jesse. I ordered 1 more. So far, I'm 0/1 and 2/2. I ordered one in the wee hours of the morning on Monday and it shows shipped today.
All I know is that Registered mail is taking a LONG TIME!!!!
I have been waiting for my ONLY order of these to come in that I placed on 21 April. People have ordered and had their coins delivered in half the time as my coins are taking.
Well here's my two cents I bought a PCGS ms70 2008w reverse 2007 for $489.00 a few weeks back and they are selling for $1,300.00 today on ebay.
What should I do keep it or buy GOLD!! I figure I can buy a NGC early release for $550.00 and a oz of gold.
Also today I bought 10 from the mint so I will keep you guys posted. Whats very interesting though is I saw a few unopened raw boxes of 5 on the bay selling for $250/$300 so far today.
So should I sell my unopened box when I get em or put them on the bay or do I have a SNOWMANS chance in hell maybe getting a few errors.

tough choices both.. glad i don't have to make them.. although your math is a little off.. how do you propose to sell the PCGS 70 for $1300.00, buy an NGC 70 for $550.00, leaving you $750.00 in change and buy an oz. of Gold with it when Gold is at about $885.00/oz plus dealer mark-up over spot?.. i mean you can't do it even steven unless you add a little more cash for that oz. of Gold..
as far as buying raw, unopened boxes, as JMRC said, it's like pulling a slot machine handle.. who knows what's inside?.. either five $25.95 coins, or five $300.00 coins, or any combination thereof.. 0/5, 1/4, 2/3, 3/2, 4/1, 5/0.. total crap-shoot.. if i had a sealed box of five or ten, i'd open it.. if i sold it and found out from the buyer there were five or ten 08/07s inside, i'd be down at the western supply store buying ten feet of rope, renting a horse, and looking for a tree branch..

Ordered 2 on 5/04. Checked at 4:45 AM this morning. Showing shipped 5/08. Of course this is the slow boat around China shipping. But I'll sure report the results by next weekend when maybe they'll arrive here in bumf**k GA. From TN to GA just ain't that far!

Do you think some top gun has pulled all of the remaining varietys at the mint since news broke? Or do you think they give a crap. I wish someone would ask Mr Weinberg if he knows anything so I/we can stop chasing that rascal wabbit!
I called the US Mint office today and spoke with someone about this situation. Don't worry, the number I called was not the 1-800 number, I have an insider number
I asked if the US Mint was/had searched through orders before they shipped to look for the subject coins. They are going to call me back tomorrow. I'll let y'all know if they do and if there is any news. They asked me if I was with the press, I wonder if they would have answered me sooner if I said yes?

What that SHOULD give us, I know there are outliers, are the trends for all coins sold, just NGC graded coins (69 and 70), just PCGS graded coins (69 and 70), and raw.
As I have stated before, this dump DOES NOT include auctions ending past 9:00 EST, so if there are a large number of auctions ending tonight, the #'s are going to be different. To get the most accurate trends, do not include today.
Here goes!
If not all the pics show up, right click on the blank picture and then click SHOW PICTURE.

"2007 reverse 2008 NGC MS70"
"2007 reverse 2008 PCGS MS70"
"2007 reverse 2008 NGC MS69"
"2007 reverse 2008 -PCGS -NGC"
What that SHOULD give us, I know there are outliers, are the trends for all coins sold, just NGC graded coins (69 and 70), just PCGS graded coins (69 and 70), and raw.
As I have stated before, this dump DOES NOT include auctions ending past 9:00 EST, so if there are a large number of auctions ending tonight, the #'s are going to be different. To get the most accurate trends, do not include today.
