Great looking '51s, perk, and thanks for entering me in your most generous contest.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
<< <i>Speaking of Baugh, do you guys know of any cards (oddballs included) that depict him as a DB or punter? >>
The only thing I might reccomend is maybe doing a search on Ebay for comics or adds depicting him, I know for a fact his regular issued cards ( 1948-1955 ) do not.
Edit: Try shooting Mike ( Nearmint ) a PM he loves the oddball issues so he might know of something.
Great pick-up Paul......if that Motley's reverse is clean...that could be bumpable. I hope I have the same luck on the Tittle and Perry that end tommorow. I am on the hunt for those two!
In honor of the Eagles blowing it...I picked up a few Eagles greats who wouldn't have choked. (sorry..it is the Cowboys Fan coming out in me...and a little jealousy because the Cowboys are a mess right now!)

All the Baugh cards I know of are here. Shouldabeen (the other Mike T.) is the real oddball expert, though. He might know of others.
Whats up with this picture??? I came across this card on ebay, and was taken aback by the helmet that Sid is wearing in this picture. Why would he have a Rams helmet on?

Please stop buying 1951 Bowman and 1955 TAAs in PSA 7 or higher.
I thank you in advance for your cooperation, it's greatly appreciated.

Remodel done. Family moved in. I have about $35.00/month to spend on ebay for a few months until we get a handle on our budget. I had to pull the trigger on this one. Two months without buying was tough and I've already blown my Feb. budget...can't wait until March!
Collecting Topps, Philadelphia and Kellogg's from 1964-1989
Found a nice 1905 Carlisle vs. Washington & Jefferson program with this picture of the Carlisle team - I just finished reading The Real All Americans by Sally Jenkins which was a great book, but with some historical error. Now I'm on to Doctors, Lawyers, Indian Chiefs by Tom Benjey, which is as complete a story of the men who played for Carlisle as you can find - QB in this photo is Frank Mt. Pleasant who in 1906 with the new rules would become a master of the forward pass (reputedly the first player to throw a spiral)
great pics Rev.....Macboube awesome 55's...saw those on the net54 board too...those are all killers that you have!
Great Ford and Gatski too..that Gatski is one of my favorite cards.
Here is today's new addition...in honor of the Cardinals going to the Superbowl...
Trippi, the star of the last Cardinals Championship team. Trippi comprised the "dream backfield" with Christman, Angsman, Goldberg, and Harder. Good to see Trippi get alot of press the last few weeks.
<< <i>Speaking of Carlisle vs. Washington & Jefferson, how 'bout these two studs in Mint !

Oh. My. Freaking. Gawd.
Awesome cards and thanks for sharing.

Just to help us remember the status of the pro game way back when, here is the Thanksgiving Day program from Yankee Stadium in 1926 - Red Grange and his New York Yankees facing the Philadelphia Quakers - on a double bill with a high school game, Commerce vs. DeWitt Clinton.

Luckmanrams??? >>
Maybe he borrowed Bob Waterfields helmet at an all-star game.
Strange shot of Luckman with a Rams lid.
By the way, sweet Bednarik, Pihos' cards.
<< <i>Wow, gorgeous Geri and Nowasky!
Here's the latest improvement to my 1961 Lake to Lake Packers set:

Hey Mike, great Lake to Lake Willie Davis pre-rookie card.
So tough!
If this is an upgrade, what did you do with your lowly 8?
If you still have it, I might be interested in it. Lmk. PM me.

My exact thought. All-Star helmets have changed over time. Used to be that the players helmets were spray painted red and blue for the All-Star game.
