Usually there will be requests for scans once the ripping begins. I think 76 ot 77 was the last year I collected football, so this will be fun rip for me.
To all those participating... I'm looking for Packers cards, maybe we can work out some trades!!!

I will not be able to rip until October 1st. I will be out of town on business. But I will rip away when I return. What order are we doing them in?

Newest to oldest is my call.

Also, I will trade or buy all Packers that come out of this rip. They all suck except for the Lofton Rookie but I need 'em

    << <i>What is a F. P. F. C. C. A. Membership ????? >>

F.P.F.C.C.A. ='s Financially Pathetic Football Card Collectors Assoc.

It was founded years ago with the mission of allowing us 'less fortunate' card collectors to amass larger quantities of football cards by breaking up our bigger purchases into more manageable smaller weekly payments.

To qualify for membership, you should have at least 2 credit cards maxed out with mainly football card purchases, you have to have used the Paypal e-check feature (out of necessity) within the past 2 months, your "eBay purchases for the past 60 days" total should be pretty close to your monthly income, plus you'll need at least 1 reference from a seller/dealer where you told them "I'd love to buy all of those cards today, but unfortunately I find myself financially embarressed at the moment. Is there any way I could make weekly payments until they're all paid off?"

We're currently trying to get some of the more prominent football card dealers to proudly display the "F.P.F.C.C.A. Logo" on their websites, so our members can easily recognize them. I believe Jeremy (T.F.C.S), NearMint Mike, Mintstate, Vic (V & J Cards), and Jay (Quality Cards) will all have our logo's up by next month.

We're also trying to work a deal with PSA to use our membership privaledges towards future submissions too.

  • mrmagoo - you are in vjsteele had an emergency and you have his lot.

    Guys,

Lets give CARPENTERROB and MrG a little more time (tomorrow?) before we offer up their lots. 2 of the 3 lots are spoken for if they do not respond.

    Chris,
I'm guessing that nothing will ship until all are paid, right?
  • Forgot to ask,

Do Non Sport Collectors/And Or Comic Book Collectors who meet the financial criteria qualify for membership or do you have an affliate Group for them?

    Paid for my 2 lots.

However, will not be able to rip these packages until my wife travels back to the US to collect them in October. Luckily, she is bringing me one of my two boxes of 78BB from the "Gary's Downfall" 78 baseball rip from earlier in the year. I shall be very excited about ripping them when she returns to the UK Saturday morning!

    Cheers,

Maybe because he has a US shipping address to avoid paying a high customs tariff on them.

Im not saying I KNOW it is him. Ive just always had my suspicions about him. he really picked up his posting after the whole gary fiasco, he got the only decent card out of the last footbll rip, he has shown interest in high grade commons from a number of sets. Like i said, nothing i firmly believe, just cant get it out of my head. All apologies if i am way off here.

Just for clarification, since I've never been involved in any of these wax rips before .... Will it be considered rude and "in bad form" if I brag too much when I get the Payton, Largent, and Montana cards? Also, will it be OK to laugh at all of the OC common cards that Ping's going to get?

Thanks for your support Ping! Others have speculated that I am Gary. Those that have traded/sold/bought to/from me know my story. Enough said.

Actually I had mentioned to Chris in a PM that I would like these sent to the UK, but decided since my wife will travel to the US next month, I will send them to my home in GA, and she can just carry them in her luggage when she returns. (Probably safer than the UK postal delivery staff, riding their bicycles in the rain with my package!)

I did pull the one Payton on Gary's fraud rip, and had contacted him to return the entire lot. I decided to keep the bunch, and may someday have the card graded. Truthfully it is a 7-8 at best because of the discoloring of the card. The remainder of the lot was rubbish.

Steve did send me an email letting me know that the cards will be shipping today.

When you guys get your packs, let's start the ripping! (And share the scan's.) I will be ripping my '78 BB, and will be happy to post pic's of those that I pull.

Got my cards in the mail today. Have'nt opened them yet. I having some friends over tomorrow for our regular card game and I think I will do it then. I played high school football with most of the guys in our regular card game and I think they would get a kick out of it. Most of us are 20 years out of high school this year. Don't worry they won't be allowed to touch any of them. Do you think I should put them in card saver 1's as soon as I open them?... I probably will.
