Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
The owner is "707 sportscards" they have this card listed in there Pete Rose master set,, and i thought some folks might get a kick out of seeing it. Because there ain`t a whole bunch of them around.
Times like these make my scanner's continuing coma very frustrating...
I know the trade is a sore spot, but this is a wonderful card. The only one in the set of a player with no facsimilie auto, which is the sole possible improvement on the design.
My other two best Reds cards are a PSA 7 65 Frank Robinson (centering on the back keeps it from being an 8) and a 67 PSA 8 Vada Pinson. It's the single card I thought of first when I saw this thread title and Capecards' 10 is beyond gorgeous.
Just off the top of my head, I would say my faves are Frank Robby's 62; Tony Perez's cards from 66, 67, 70, 72 and 77; and Bench's wonderful run from 70 to 72.
Heres a card of a very young Johnny Bench in his minor league uniform.
I know what the card is (what set). Does anyone else ?? I will be truly suprised if anyone else does. Yes, its from a legitimate set that is listed in the Beckett almanac.
Here are a few cards that I recently added to my Reds collection. Both of the Rose's were SGC 88 crack-outs. The 1971 Bench Tattoo panel is the 2nd highest panel ever graded for the set. There is Billy Williams panel that is graded a psa 9. I have been looking for a nicely centered 1973 Bench in a PSA 9 which I finally found.
Anyone else remember when the Perez card said in the guide "w/Eric Davis." Don't imagine any do that anymore.

I thought I would revive this thread. Here are some of my recent acquisitions over the last 6 months or so. I really like the 1972 Topps in action Johnny Bench match print original photo from Topps Vault.
What a cool thread! That is the first time I have seen a puzzle graded
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
Phil, I had never seen the Jamesway before but the guy I bought it from said he had sold another a few months ago. The Dayton Daily News cards are at PSA as we speak.
The '74 puzzle is definitely one of my favorites.
Here are a few more.......
Interested in anything and everything related to the Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats
I recently picked up this PSA 7.5 1968 Kahn's Bench rookie which was a slight upgrade to my PSA 7. Every Bench card that I have ever seen from this set is slightly off center left to right.
Here are some newspapers that I have saved over the years:

How about a couple that were not exactly created by Topps?
keeping my ears open for oddball cards of Rose from the 60's and 70's.

I love that Jamesway Trucking Johnny Bench. That is a card you very rarely see. You need to get those Dayton Daily News Johnny Bench graded.
Here is a photo of a 1969 and 1970 Johnny Bench Reds team issued keychains.
