Just received an email from the mint indicating they cancelled 1 of the 4 hag coins (AA PF) I placed on one order. I'm guessing the bean counters didn't do a very good job at the mint before the cut off sales. This order was placed 12:50EST.

All of mine went to on hold. When I first placed them all were in stock. Order at 12:25.

If you wanted one from the Mint now....it really is too late. The Mint just removed their disclaimer. Now it is plan and simple, "No Longer Available"

They cancelled one of my midway orders for one of the MW MS. I guess I got carried away. Cancel reason: 5 order limit. First order in stock and reserved. Cancel box is gone. At least I will get one.

I'm seeing a lot of proof MW on ebay. Not too many uncirc.
Looks like I got my one uncirc. MW. My order says "in process" and ship on 7/5.
Got in right before they cancelled it.

I'll be curious too see the breakdown between proof and uncirc.

Same here, at 12:28. The online receipt said "in stock", but the e-mail that was sent at the same time said "on hold 07/04/07".

The Mint website says my order is now in process.

If you remember as soon as the 20th anniversary sets sold out there were offers all over the BST board to purchase unopened boxes. So far I haven't seen any offers for the Washington/Adams coins which is telling.

You know, if these follow the pattern of the 20th anniversary SAE coins, there might be a flood of these on EBAY for a few weeks after they start shipping. I remember somebody buying a 70/70/70 set of these early on for $9,000 or something like that, but then the flood hit.

I'd be worried about this seller ... has never sold anything & the last item that he purchased, didn't pay for it. Looks like the scammers are goind to have a field day with this Mint issue...(buyers & sellers beware)

Yup, there'll be plenty of legitimate sellers for a little while after these start to ship, and the prices may be somewhat higher than at the US Mint, but we're looking at the beginning of a series thats going to run a decade.

One of my orders say.."Your order request is in process"...... order #25440xxx.
My other order says.."Your order request is on hold"....... order #25434xxx.

Does this mean I am about to get some bad news on both orders?

Yes, but there's 6000 orders between the two of yours. That was an eternity yesterday.

That was mine. Now i just have to wait for the buyer to pay. I am a little worried since his feedback is low. But, I have rarely had a problem. I just wish I had sucked it up and got 5 of each not just two. I didn't think anyone would bid that fast on it especially since there was another set for $3k for sale.
How much time do you think I should give him to pay?

I doubt "in process" means anything. The order I placed at 10 PM last night shows in process--and I know that's just a dream!

In process with no cancel box and in process with a charged credit card, however, should mean they will ship soon.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

All the "In process" and "On hold" BS as well as credit card charges and backorder dates are irrelevant, because those things mean nothing to the US mint.

At this point you either receive a box with your crap in it, or you don't. Every thing else is a waste of effort.

Just like every thread should end when it comes to coins. You just can't judge it til it's "IN HAND"
  • Options
Fishcooker: FWIW I've never been charged by the Mint for a coin I didn't receive. I guess there's a first time for everything, but judging by past experience, if your card has been charged, it's a lock.
