I'm not going to lie, doing all in one week would be hard enough. lol I'll probably just do it to do it, work and school are eating up a ton of well all my free time basically.

Thanks guys! Everyone's paid up. That's great, but it does mean that none of the pinch-hitters will be called off the bench. Sorry. I wouldn't be shocked if there was an 80s Fleer or Donruss bust in the near future, though. Hopefully people that missed this one can jump on that one.

I have the boxes and will be packaging up shipments tonight and tomorrow night. I'll get them in the mail ASAP. While I'd like to get started with the first posts this Sunday, I'm not positive that everyone will have their cards by then. Let's see how things go with the packaging and delivery. (If I get them out tomorrow and Thursday, they should be delivered between Friday and Saturday with a few stragglers on Monday.)

Sound good?

its gonna be great. ajw you're doing a great job . i think when it comes time to posting results everyone should wait til all the results have been posted for '89 before we move on . ajw could make the call . anyone that ends up ripping all the packs right away could just hold off posting the results.

look how cheap topps got...in 83,84 it was a WORLD SERIES TRIP...then in 85...ALL STAR GAME TRIP...then after that it was just spring training....needless to say he cards went downhill as the offerings did...HILARIOUS...

I vote we do 1987-88-89 at the same time. Might as well get those worthless out of the way as soon as possible. I didn't see what the individual boxes cost ajw but I hope for these, they weren't more than $1-2 which are the going ebay prices. I had never opened 1980 or 1981 before so that part is going to be cool.

Shipping update:

22 shipments have gone out. I was hoping to do the others today, but the post office by my office said they don't have any more priority mail boxes to give me. Grrr...

I'll try to go to a different PO to get the boxes, but this will delay the shipment by a day or two. Sorry, but it's out of my hands. This delay will probably push back our first pack break to next week.

That's right, we're all getting a BONUS pack for FREE! Steve thought our idea was pretty cool, so he threw in a 1981 Fleer wax box for FREE! We can all figure out when we want to bust that one.

I'm glad the first box arrived. More people should get theirs today, I hope!

I just packed up the remaining 13 packages, and they're all going out priority today. People should have their packs by Monday or Tuesday. There is one problem, though. I somehow ended up with an extra pack from one of the years. It's quite possible that I shorted one package one pack. I sure tried my best not to do that, but it's possible. It doesn't make sense to open all the priority boxes, so I'll just hang onto it. When you get your packs, please check to make sure you have 11 packs. (Yeah, ELEVEN! 1980-1989 Topps and 1981 Fleer.) Use the picture in this thread to make sure you have all the packs. If you're missing one, private message me with the year, and I'll send it out. Sorry!

Since we do have the extra Fleer pack, I think we should start with that one. Maybe on Wednesday or Thursday. That will give us something to have fun with before Sunday when we start with 1989 Topps. Sound good?
