Hello I wanted to bump this great thread because I am currently building a '56 set in PSA 6+ (details in sig). I just spent three days reading this whole thread and it was very informative. I would like to get some updates from people in this thread on what they have done with there set and if the others are still building it. I hope this thread continues to thrive. Let's hear from old and new '56 set builders like myself!
I had a lot of fun building this set. I'm still occasionally upgrading some 7's to 8's. Maybe two or three a year. Not sure when (or if) I'll stop upgrading. A 7.50 GPA would be a nice round number.

The other day I was trying to figure out how many HOF'ers were in the '56 set. A brief online search took me to an article that says there are 34, but I could not find a comprehensive list (not that I spent all that much time on it). I did a little research of my own and I could only find 31. Can anyone help me out and fill in the three I'm missing?
I just picked up HOF'er #15 for my set. I may need an intervention at some point to stop buying these.
Walter - I realize this is a way late reply to your posting above. Your list of 1956 HOF'rs should include card #1-Harridge; card #2-Giles; and card #250-Doby. Hope you are still out there and working on your set. Still at it with mine.
I was curious where everyone rank's in the PSA registry with there sets ? I'm just trying to get an idea who everyone is since I'm new to the set. I've been building it for 2 1/2 months now. This is how I stand for now..
This thread seems to have stalled again. Anyone here looking to trade their PSA 8 doubles? I'm still poking along on the set after a few decades and would like to pick a few more off. The Philly show didn't have much to choose from today.
