Needs to be a seated dime or another 1853 as stated below... Thanks for pointing that out, it took me a while to find an 1853 in all my junk...

Wow Mozin, I know it's in an NGC slab and you've got 4 thousands post here but that thing looks polished to me. The protected areas just don't look right for a PL, IMHO. Of course, the usual disclaimer: it's hard to judge from a pic and I could be wrong.

I won this in a Heritage auction two years ago, where it went for about 40% premium for the PL surfaces. It has mirrors much like my other gold prooflike pieces, some have better mirrors, some not as good. Scanning prooflike coins is tough.
Most definitely not a polished goldie.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

France or pattern or 1848.
(Yes, the silly Froggies got the four backwards, but you gotta admit they make some pretty coins. I think I have posted this 'un before.)

and if crito is reading, let's keep this on track ... this is a game, not a critique thread ...

<< <i>Hey, we all appreciate constructive critocism, don't we? >>
Sure. But this isn't a "what do you think of my newp?" thread. It's simply a thread displaying coins.
