    Hey guys!!

Well, After two months all but 60 cards are gone from the #1 registry break - Brian's set. Please check my store for any holes y'all might have. Thank you all for the business, advice and friendships - it was a blast!

I just posted this on the 78 rip thread and thought, while I was at it, I would post it here too:

I would be interested in picking up any mint raw Oakland A's I need or having first dibs as PSA 9 or 10 Oakland A's for my team set. Here is my A's set:

    Matt's 78 A's Set

Thanks in advance for keeping me in mind. Carry on!

What does everyone think about this eBay item, as it applies to our set? 170089346416

12K for a 9.02, as opposed to Brian's getting 17 and change for his.

Steve is a good seller...he's sold me a few of my '78's. I'm sure his cards are excellent for the grades, and I'm sure the set looks fantastic.

Anyone interested in swapping 9s for 9s? I have some extra 9s I would like to swap for 9s I need for my set. If there is any interest in this, let me know and I can come up with my list.

Hey softparade, thanks for the list. I have a 78' vending set i bought several years ago and been sending the cards in slowly. Mostly going for the low pops cards to help people out with their sets. Off your current list i will be sending the following i feel would qualify @ 9's or hopefully better---#39,111,115,125,132,141,158,183,185,256,263,279,310,369,386,395,444,506,512,525,560,618,681,717,726. I have submitted around 60 cards with 95% coming back 9's and 10's. I really don't see a 10 in this batch like i did in the last 2 subs. I will be shooting these off to PSA at the end of the week.

    78'ers.

I have a few psa 9s with no qualifiers. If I can help anyone out.

    I have

    204, 374 380 417 425 433 474 and 519.

$6 each delivered or if anyone has a Cey in 9 for me, they can have all 8 in trade! Also, I would trade one for one for some Cubs or Dodgers in 9, so let me know who you have

    Carew,

That's a nice list if you can manage to get 9's. A lot of difficult cards there. Let us know when you get them back.
Hopefully PSA will push through all the 78's they are going to get image
I thought I saw another Blomberg from the case rip so get yours in quick

If thats the case, I got two #481 Jackson Todd PSA 5's available image

I sent in three on my last submission and got an 8 and two fives. The 8 was the worse of the three. I guess I forgot to tilt the cards in the light to see the wrinkles. On a positive note, I did get some low pop 9's and a #402 Dave Campbell PSA 10 which I believe is a low pop 9 as well.

Being a big Giants fan and a fan of Mike Krukow, I just won this beauty on the 'Bay:

1978 Topps PSA 10 Mike Krukow

I have not checked the pops on the card, but was mildly surprised it went for only $20.00. Seems like last year, when I sold a bunch of 10s, I would routinely get $50.00 a pop for them or more. Has the populations started to catch up?

In any event, I am really stoked to have this card. To show what a great guy Krukow is, I sent him an autograph request in the mail a couple of years ago. I enclosed an 87 Topps card and an index card for him to sign. He not only signed and returned those but also a couple of his 77 Topps rookie cards signed! He must have a stash of the 77s because I did not include those. I thought that was a very nice gesture and I still have those in my collection.

I will close with Krukow and Kuiper are the best baseball announcers out there today; I really enjoy their broadcasts (rember, I am a Giants fan so that probably helps).

In the spirit of SPAM, is anybody interested in any of the following PSA 8's (mostly low pop cards) from my latest submission?:

    #103 Tom Murphy
    #106 Bill Plummer
    #148 Andre Thorton
    #158 Joaquin Andujar
    #256 Joe Atobelli
    #302 Cubs Team
    #356 Mets Team
    #466 Dennis Blair
    #481 Jackson Todd
    #512 Larry Herndon
    #516 Gary Beare
    #563 Dave Rader
    #592 Bob Apodaca

I'll list some 9's that will be available also as soon as I get the cards in hand from PSA.

But you don't have to be a fan of the team to like those guys image

I catch a lot of their games during the season because I'm usually looking to see one from the west coast. They're always informative and a lot of fun.

I was going through my stash of 1978 cards and came across these Bill Plummers:

    image

The bad news is the one on the right has wax stain on the front. I tried to gently use nylons (my wife's, not mine) to get the wax off, but not all will come off. Any other tips/tricks?

    SOM,

Yes the pop's are coming up, just wait till the case that was cracked gets graded image

Dan did you open your box yet with those 9/10 Ryan's and Todd's I think I hear them calling you...

Also on the 0 10's don't forget Jackson # 200. That may be one of the hardest to get a 10 since it is so dirty.

    George,

The box is stashed away for a very very rainy day!

It is getting to the point where there are almost no low pops in PSA 9 anymore (with a few notable exceptions)and I think that is just great! Tells me alot of guys like this great set!

I'm down to the following 22 cards. (I also have a bunch that have not been loaded to my set yet!)

Maybe with the recent "case cracking" there will be some "fresh PSA meat" floating around out there? image

Anyone interested in parting with any of these in 9 or 10, LMK
