I was thinking about bidding on the Concepcion but I am hopeing one of the two nice ones I have pases for the back, the front is an easy 10 but the backs are o/c t/b I think I will get a 9's because of that, and yes I changed my mind again I can't wait 30 days for the next special so I will try to get a sub ready to ship out Saturday or Monday at the latest. At least then I'll know where I stand at what I need to bid on to finish my set.
One other thing anyone else notice 4SC raising their starting prices on the 78's $30 for some 10's and $49.99 for an Anderson (Sparkey) PSA 9? does't that sound a little high 2-10's but 44 9's. Any ideas on that one?
I avoid 4 Sharp Corners as much as I can. I think that prices are high on cards they get back that are listed for the first time and then come down if not sold. Just a hunch on my part
Yes, I have noticed their prices do come down if they go unsold. $30 is not bad for a 10, I would pay that for many of the cards but I also would like the chance to get them for a little less If rbd and Chompie9 are not bidding.

A footnote: The seller claimed he had a family emergency and he had someone else mailing-out his auction items, and they sent me the wrong card (that just happened to be a raw Lou Whitaker rookie card!). He asked me to send him the incorrect card back and he would then refund me. Paypal said to wait until they sent me instructions on send his incorrect item back!

And here's my PSA 9! Yep! Mine does have a "spot on the helmet's bill"! (Anyway, my PSA 9 is pretty bad! Even without that "bill speck"! The centering really sucks! I'll be looking for another, hopefully an upgrade someday?)...

All of this Foote discussion made me look at my own Foote. Alas! I do believe he is speck-free!
I put a scan of his card up on the Saturday Night Fever Registry. His picture seems rather odd posted there, in the party of the HOFers and superstars whose photos otherwise grace my set.
But, hey - a speckless Foote deserves the same acclaim as a smudgeless Molitor.

All right, The first set of grades popped 100 cards 22 10's, 68 9's, 5 8's, 3 5's (it must have been late) and 2 not holdered Ryan I knew was off and Tom Griffen?? Some will be seeing their way to ebay soon, but if I needed it for my set I am filling those gaps first. I knew I should not have bid on that Seaver and Dawson. Oh Well. I tried to post the grades using cut and paste and this did not work too well the sub number is 604314 and zip is 48309 If someone could post them for me or let me know how to do it I would appreciate it.

Brian, Yes the extra Jacksons will be sold (or traded away) I would guess around $35-40, but the R OF's is going into my set. I took a look at the other R OF's I have and did not see any that are worth sending in. I will be sending in another sub before the current special is over. So I should have more to trade/sell. This sub was under the $6 bulk and not the special so for many of the common cards that were going into my set I only sent in 1 of them.

Mail came today. Here are some scans for your enjoyment. The Foster, Dade, and Concepcion were by far the best from th case. They almost looked loke glossy cards.
"Only" 3 Seaver's from the sub, the other one I purchased just before I sent in the cards. If I knew I would have gotten 1 back a 10 I would have passed on the auction and let rbd have it. I knew the Concepcion was good so I did pass on that aution. I also bid on Dawson and Jackson because I was not sure what they would come back as. and now their extra's.

Great sub george, I was just wondering will psa let a little print slide like they do with the 77's. Im going through my dups and planning on sending them.
Form this sub they allowed a very small amout of "print slide" on the cards which included a little bit of black ink at the bottom of the card as well. Most of the cards that had more than a small amout got 9's.

I am trying to keep the set at a 9.25 though 9.00 was the original goal so I could always revert back to that if nessassary. I am close to 9.25 now and the Murray rookie will probalbly be a 8 so I don't have a lot of room to move. but most 9's I have would also look good in the set.

So even if I didn't use a credit card, Paypal would have refunded me 100%! That's pretty cool!

Brian, Yes the extra Jacksons will be sold (or traded away) I would guess around $35-40, but the R OF's is going into my set. I took a look at the other R OF's I have and did not see any that are worth sending in. I will be sending in another sub before the current special is over. So I should have more to trade/sell. This sub was under the $6 bulk and not the special so for many of the common cards that were going into my set I only sent in 1 of them.

"Only" 3 Seaver's from the sub, the other one I purchased just before I sent in the cards. If I knew I would have gotten 1 back a 10 I would have passed on the auction and let rbd have it. I knew the Concepcion was good so I did pass on that aution. I also bid on Dawson and Jackson because I was not sure what they would come back as. and now their extra's.

Form this sub they allowed a very small amout of "print slide" on the cards which included a little bit of black ink at the bottom of the card as well. Most of the cards that had more than a small amout got 9's.

While none of the cards I have designated as being in the set are for sale at the moment, all unreasonable (high) offers will be concidered
I am trying to keep the set at a 9.25 though 9.00 was the original goal so I could always revert back to that if nessassary. I am close to 9.25 now and the Murray rookie will probalbly be a 8 so I don't have a lot of room to move. but most 9's I have would also look good in the set.
