You seem to have an endless supply of great boxing cards. Keep it up.

I need to get one of those Williams Great Moments cards at some point. I have so many of his other autographs that it's kinda odd that I don't have one of those.
    Who is Rober Maris?
  • Here are the cards I just got back from PSA that were made by Knuckles. Amazing work.

    Great stuff!

Sean, did you procure the autographs yourself?

I did procure them myself. I obtained them through auction houses and some deals with private collectors. Garret does such a great job. In the end I hope to have about 75 or so cards in this collection.
    Thanks

Thanx for the very kind words FD and guys - it means a lot to a collector to hear nice things from their friends...

    FD - here ya go.

I'm currently at 17% - I would like to be at 20% by 2008 - unless things get really good with my office - then look out!!!!!!!!!

There's another great looking card. You know, the danger of this thread for me is that cards from sets I've never really looked twice at start to grow on me, and I think, "Hey, maybe I should be picking up some of those."

  • << <i>Are there any 10s? >>

On the Bridgeman there are none and the PSA 9 has a pop of 12. Normally I wouldn't spend that much but I needed it for my Bucks team set.
And as far as doing the 76-77 set goes it can be pretty affordable in you don't mind 8's. I'm just doing the Bucks team set right now so I am shooting for 9's and if a 10 would pop up I might go for it. It's the only way I will ever catch the Bryant Collection guy! image

    Incredible cards guys!

rbdjr1, that Stargell is SWEET! I love the 78 set and Stargell was one of my favorite players as a kid. Nice card! image

julen23, one can never go wrong with a Drysdale card, but what happened with the holder? Looks like someone wasn't pleased with the grade and chucked it out the window!

Stone, that Cheif Bender is incredible! It has nice visual appeal for a PSA 5. How close are you twords your set?

Matt, you must have the greatest collection of Emmitt cards known to mankind! image That Boss Hog is sharp! I gotta ask, have you ever met Emmitt?

I actually thought about driving up to his store. Its about a 5 hour trip from my house. He has a memorabilia store in Pennsicola.

It would be bad if I made the trip and he wasnt there image

    Thanx Ted.

    Only 17% - only 83 to go!

If you check above, you'll see where I put a link to my set - I have pics of all the cards.

One of the experts who has made superhuman strides on the set is Qualitycards aka Jan - check out his set on the registry - he also has taken the time to scan all the cards and add interesting tidbits on the players.

I've been procrastinating putting in the data on the players.

    Matt

    That's a great card!

I think I got about 3 autographics one year - I can't remember who they were - no one special - not even sure where they are?

How many Emmitt autos do have now?

That's a really nice Drysdale - I've got his 63F and it has the same exact expression - when I was a kid, I tried to get his auto - but people way bigger that me got to him first!

    tkd

I've been wanting the Williams and Mantle PS's forever! I had a failed snipe on a Ted and Mick one nite; and they were PSA/DNA!

    Sting

    If there's a set I wouldn't mind doing? It's the 84D - not graded tho.

    Another nice lot of cards.

    Bunker

That Perez is off the chart! Superb centering and everything.

    Finally - rd

Your 76T set gets more impressive by the minute! Congratulations.

What do PSA 10s of commons typically go for? Are there any really low pops that would get you into the bidding war of the century?

    Thanx for sharing guys

I have about twenty or so. Some graded, some just authenticated and some raw. I buy raw ones that are in at least 8 form, so I can have them slabbed and added to my set. I try not to buy to many graded auto's because they can be quite pricey

Nice looking T202. That is a set I'd like to start one day.

Here are two new additions that arrived today. One step closer on the Icee Bears set and this is the first of a new adventure.

    Halo

I like the Teddy card - interesting - the guy goes thru WWII and Korea and crash lands in '53 - that's right around the time the war ended?

What's the size on the Icee Bear cards? I thought I remember that you're doing the set?
