My youngest son is older than you... The '55s aren't real popular with collectors -yet. I suppose it's the fact that the fat borders detract from the photo size and these Bowmans are notorious for miscuts and odd sizes. Good work anyhow, stick to the vintage.

Yep I'm the youngest of my family. My brother is 28. I like the 55's because of the framing inside the border; it gives the card a nice clean look imo. If I get a certain card I'm going after today, it'll be one of my centerpieces in my collection(especially for the price I might be paying for it) But I'll let ya'll know about that if it goes down. Not only a beautiful card, nice grade, my favorite team, and one of the greatest ever to play his position.

Great Exhibits...you're right, they dont get the respect they deserve. Although lately, I've seen some Ebay ending prices for graded one's that aren't too bad.

I just moved here maybe 2-3 months ago. I helped the roommates move in last year then went back to my hometown. Moved up here for home renovation work and to go back to college. I haven't even had time to look for a card shop; although I think there is one about 10 minutes from me(won some stuff off eBay from a local card shop I believe). Most times I work in North West or Montgomery county so I enjoy the 18 mile/hour long drive twice a day. I hate traffic, but I live about 5-10 minutes from the Wilson Bridge.

Are you doing the whole set? I've been looking for a new project and that has been one I have been thinking about.

i likely paid more than i should have for the aaron...but i was frustrated because whenever this card comes up in a 6,7 or 8...im always outbid. A GAI 8 came up a month or two ago for way less than SMR....i missed the auction!

just need the aaron. nice set, but my pursuit of other sets bars me from collecting it.

Not only did I get to 100% on my Drysdale Basic set by picking this card up....

    image

But, I also upgraded my rookie from a 6 to a strong 7 with this one....

    image

.....now, just need to upgrade my '62 and I'll have all 7s or higher. From there, we work on getting them all to 8s. image

Was that already autographed by Topps or did you have it done. That is pretty cool. Though everytime I see that card it reminds me of Adam Sandler in Waterboy for some reason. You think he would sign with some legibility.
