That's what I saw(left side bottom) but other than that great centering all around and clean corners.

Youngblood looks solid(Lil top right corner from what I see) and the L/R centering.

I picked up 2 Mattingly rookies this week, honestly the cleanest edges and corners I've ever seen. Bad part was centering T/B on one and L/R on the other. Not horrible, but would keep the grade down. Oh well, can't beat em for .99 cents.

I picked these 3 up of Ebay recently. I paid $15 for the Lajoie, $50 for the Bulgarian Ruth, and $55 for the Senalla Ruth. A pretty decent deal for original Lajoie and Ruth cards I believe.

Nice cards-- and they were certainly priced right. But I'd be a little nervous, since this seller also has some PSA stuff for sale.

Man, I love paging through this thread's pages every time there's a new post. I can enjoy all of the pickups over and over again.

Those 63T fbs look great to me. There's no chance they're trimmed, I'd guess. Are they going to get graded??

They are going to get graded, but not for a little while. For some reason this months cutoff for the special was 1964 so I'll have to wait and do a bulk 60's in a few weeks for the 60's through 63's. I think they are strong 7's with a chance at an 8. Those 63's are tough! Not as hard as the 62's but hard nonetheless.

Please do let us know what these grade out to. I think they're some nice lookin' cards -- nice centering and strong corners. The only way they could be any better is if they were MN Vikings!! image

Of course I think it's fine that you have a buying ID, but I'm curious: What's the benefit of having one? I've thought about doing it, but I'm not sure what good it would do me. Now I understand why card doctors have one, but for guys like me and you--- what's the purpose?

Just curious, because if I can come up with a good reason to have one I'll probably do it.

    2 reasons.

    1. I have never gotten a negative from an auction where I was the seller. If you look at my feedback there are 7 negs and all are from when I was unhappy on the buying end and they are retallitory.

    2. Like I said, we have a lot of visibilty here. I like to buy raw and finding good raw on eBay takes a lot of work. I just like to keep that work to myself instead of someone liking the cards I buy and finding out where I get them from. This would likely make the price on those go up if there is more demand on that seller's cards.

If you are only buying graded cards in eBay, I see no use for a buying account for reason number 2 above, but you could still run into retalitory negs. And if you sell, those negs could hurt you even though they don't relate at all to past items you have sold.

Awesome! I recognize Jim Marshall, but what years are the other Vikings cards?? I must have been merely a child when these guys played because I sure don't recognize the names! I started following the Twins in the early '60s and the Vikings didn't hit my radar until the mid-to-late '60s...

    Thanks for sharing the scans!
