  • Just FYI for any sellers , this is one buyer you might want to put on your blocked bidders list " bowenstatuesusa " he has been on ebay since
10-05-06 and seems to be bidding on about 30 to 40 items a day and then only pays for the ones he decides he really wants.image

Have filed a NPB claim against him, will wait and see what happens!
  • My 1955 PSA 6 common ending with 880 hits and 2 bids. The # of bids is what I expected, but 100+ hits a day is ridiculous... something's up.

My last two posts on this thread have disappeared (they're not page-turners).

Thanks for the tip. He's blocked!

I collect Bowen Designs' Statues (Marvel Comics Busts)... they're really cool. I've got a complete set of Marvel Mini Busts (around 150). They sure take up a lot of room. www.bowendesigns.com.

I have been off-line for most of the last week..........

    Hey Joe,

Considering how few of the Kendall cards are out there, the price you paid isn't so bad.......That''s the only new one graded in the last year or so........

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I want to congratulate Bill Novick, for once again finishing the set in all PSA 8 or better............I do not know where he found a Kendall and Expos team card, but he did and his set is now 100% complete.

By the way, I still need three cards to finish my set:

    # 512 Wayne garrett
    #582 Expos team card
    and
    # 224 World series Game two

I did have a #224 card, but traded it away to obtain the Dietz IA..

There are twice as many #224 cards out there in comparison to Dietz IA................

    Hey 1972 Guys,

Any comments on these PSA 10's that ended today from 4 sharp corners:

    1972 PSA 10's

Under $80 for a 34 year old PSA 10 seems like a good price, but I don't follow these often.
  • lostdart58lostdart58 Posts: 2,938 ✭✭✭
All of those PSA 10s listed are high pop . ( 1 of 20 on the Peterson card) .

There has been a ton of PSA 10s for sale recently as the # 1 set on the registry has sold off his set one card at a time over the last 6 weeks. he alone has almost 300 PSA 10s to sell.

    4 months ago you couldn't get a PSA 10 for under $100

Thanks, I guess the price is coming down a bit with more subs. As for "if I'm happy, the price doesn't matter" - I don't think like that actually. For me, the price and the card go hand in hand. I want to be both happy with the card and the price. If I pay double the going-rate for a card, no matter how much I like it, I'm probably not happy with it (that's assuming it is fairly graded and not under-graded). The budget needs to be met!

I get the mind set and I generally go by the same set of rules. But, you have to realize that even within the same grades, "values" of the cards change. To pay double 'going rate' may absolutely apply based on that card being on the high end of that grade (possible resub for some) or not.

I generally don't overpay for cards, but I have done it in the past....just one of those things that happen when you "just have to have it!" image
