To those who think there is nothing wrong with nedsk and/or paoutdoorsman...Maybe you want to explain to MiniMaster how he didn't get scammed from this seller! Maybe you think Steve Hart is also in on the "sabotage."
stevek I never implied that steve hart was in on anything, I simply am stating that his name is being thrown around alot here and he has yet to speak for himself. other then to say he would look at some packs. we are going on the word of one guy who CLAIMS Steve H looked at them. ok?
as for asking mini, well you did say "I HOPE THIS IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU.
For all we know all 12 boxes were UNOPENED I have seen no proof to the contrary, only what MINI has claimed.
ok ok MINI produce the email .......shouting out....... for what good that will do. Ned claims mini don't know opened from unopened. draw your own conclusions from that.
lol u just don't get it............ok why don't you show us all the wrappers he has bought...cmon show us all the auctions.....maybe he is collecting the set? and wanted a companion piece?
you still didn't reply to my post regarding psa10gold?
You jumped right into the fire, didn't you. I'm not even paying attention to this fiasco right now, but I will read through it later on. All I know, it's good to see this kind of interaction between collectors. Remember we are all on the SAME side here.
let me get this straight is this what your saying?
ned buys 58 commons for a buck each? buys a wrapper puts the cards in the wrapper seals em up and sells it to a guy that buys and sells this stuff for a living? who came on here and said he bought those packs and would let us know how it turned out? you mean he fooled that guy? that guy has left positive feedback 2 times for the 2 packs he bought. if that is the case then waxfromthepast aka psa10gold needs to find another line of work, from what i hear he is one of the best in the business now please.................
The conclusion I have come too is that you have lost more then you claimed initially. You didnt get all 9's and 10's in your box, you got 7's and 8's and are pissed.
the 1 wrapper & lots are "could be's" and possibilities, but not proof..
ive bought common card "lots" for sets i'm building, and ive bought the occassional wrapper..
i still see nedsk's positive feedback from established accounts, and negative feedback from not-so-established accounts..
i know minimaster feels he got ripped off, and that sucks..
i see evidence on both sides, but so far in my opinion, until Steve Hart or Ryan (psa10gold) come on here and give their side of the story, i'm leaning towards a "not guilty" verdict.. ("not guilty" is different than "innocent")
it seems like a lot of people having been buying tom smykowski's jump to conclusions mats.
i agree with pa, until i hear from the experts, i'm not totally sold on the guy being a crook.
however, i sure as hel wouldn't bid on the stuff - not worth the risk. i also wouldn't bid on high dollar raw cards, but i don't go around saying that every high dollar raw card is a altered.
To those who have little faith in my word! I'm not surprised by the doubting "Thomas's" in these threads about "nedsk". It's difficult to maintain a line of proof on a message board with several threads being splashed here and there about this and that. Many of the threads trying to work through simple misunderstandings and hurt feelings between fellow members that don't even begin to address the true meaning of the thread itself. I truely am only trying to help share my experience with this seller in hopes of saving others from a similar fate as I had. Plain and simple, no conspiracy theories please! I had hoped that the 3rd parties that assisted me would have come on the message board and shared there findings. Maybe they have their reasons for not doing so? Perhaps when they find the time they will? All I know is that I did receive word from them. Ryan phoned me and Steve sent me an e-mail. It's really sad that with the feedback history I have on ebay I would be questioned on this matter? Here is what Steve Hart had to say about the 75 Topps Mini Wax Packs I received from "nedsk" :
"Hello! Got the mini packs in today from you. No good. Not even close. Well, I guess I should say that they didn't do a terrible job keeping the corner folds intact. But I opened the flap on one of the packs and it is held shut with glue under the flap. In fact, there is no way once you naturally open a Topps pack that you can just fold the seal back down and it sticks. This pack does no problem. There is also a check of the wrapper torn off under the flap and that doesn't just happen a Topps either. Will get these sent back Monday. Thanks, Steve"
So just keep asking for this and that and whatever to keep your doubts alive? Me....I know what I received from "nedsk" and it was all resealed 75 Topps Mini Wax Packs! Really, it matters not what doubters say to me or about me.....I know who I am and who I'm not. I've told the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God! I'm am here to help others avoid getting taken by an unethical/dishonest seller. If you don't want to listen to what I have to say then don't listen. If you do want to listen.....you'll know of one more seller to beware of.

I am inclined to observe that minimaster was only working for the "good of the order" in his posting. Regardless of whether nedsk sold 1% bunk -ish or 100% bunk -ish, it is still BUNK.
I am sorry you gambled w/ this seller and lost. Perhaps he is honest and got taken or perhaps he is truly a scheming conman who is exploiting loopholes w/in e-bay. You have done your part to (based on Steve's response) prove the non-validity of your transaction, but you obviously can't speak for all the other buyers who've purchased from nedsk.

Hello everyone, this is Ryan Rutter, owner, Wax From The Past!
I'm going to set everything straight as far as what I've read during the past week. We recently returned from the Sportsfest in Chicago and have just gotten to reading these threads. T. Allen sent me two blatently reglued 1975 Topps Mini wax packs from his bad box that he purchased from nedsk. In less than a second, I verified the amateur job and called T. Allen to report the bad news. He will be receiving a letter verifying my findings this coming week. We purchased a 1958 Topps Football wax pack in early June from nedsk that was the nicest that we'd ever had! At Sportsfest, GAI graded the pack an 8.5 and we sold the pack to Ric Chandgie of Piedmont Cards in Greensboro, NC (336-547-0732). Ric and I are friends and he specializes in tobacco cards and high-end graded packs. Truly a fantastic pack! We also purchased a 1958 Topps Baseball wax pack from nedsk that, from the scan, we thought was resealed. Why did we purchase this? We did to have some type of backbone to get nedsk kicked off of eBay. With our status in the industry, we intended to get the pack graded by GAI as a reseal job and pursue the task of validating the ignorance of nedsk's judgement about unopened material. Thus, having proof to totally boot nedsk from eBay once and for all. His auctions were bringing down the prices of legitimate and rare unopened product. The $600 plus we paid for the pack is nothing to us if we save the unopened market from falling prices due to Ned's bad business practice. All of you know the LOW prices that the rare material was ending for on eBay. This would greatly hurt the business of any legitimate seller's product on an overall basis, I'm sure you'd agree! So, about three weeks after the auction ended, I received a call from Ned Kerstetter. He explained to me that while he was packing my '58 Baseball pack, it mysteriously 'opened by itself' and he'd have a guilty conscience if he sent it to me. He then apologized and sent me a refund for the total, plus extra $ for my trouble, and I think that it was a responsible and professional manner in which he acted. For these reasons ONLY, I left positive feedback for him. Realize that I had previously received a beautiful '58 Football pack and was completely satisfied with the gem. I had no reason to leave him a negative because he took care of the situation in an adult manner. I've confirmed the receipt of other resealed packs from individuals that have been screwed from nedsk. I won't leave negative feedback for Ned because of other individual's negative reports. That's not how the eBay feedback system works. So, I can only hope that other people, some of whom are my customers, receive the same fortunate luck that I did with nedsk. As for this community, if any of you EVER need assistence with any unopened matter, feel free to give me a call as I'm here to help, and, well, to sell some of the FINEST unopened product in the business! We will be at THE NATIONAL CONVENTION in Chicago, July 25-31 exhibiting together with Steve Rocchi and GAI. Feel free to stop by and view some quality unopened product! -Ryan

Ryan - Good post and it illustrates an important point I’ve been trying to make on this thread and other threads. That these “professional” scammers don’t always scam every buyer, in fact they may only scam a few people, but the few people they do scam is for high dollar items in which they literally make out like bandits. Dealing with them is a gamble, and no doubt a bad gamble because if continuing to buy from sellers such as this, sooner or later you’re going to get burned, and burned badly.
thanks Ryan for leaving feedback that doesnt say anything about how the transaction actually went.. that should protect everybody like you were hoping..
Ryan, I too appreciate your taking the time to explain. But to be honest, your post leaves me more confused than before.
Something doesn't smell right about some of the actions of nedsk, including the fact that the second '58 pack you purchased "mysteriously opened" as it was being prepared for shipping. But he gave you a refund plus some, so it's hard to point to that and prove anything at all. You called it a very professional action.
Ryan, don't take offense, but why exactly do you want nedsk booted off eBay forever? The only definite reason you cited was that his stuff was going for prices that could bring down the prices of unopened material overall (hurting your business). I presume the first '58 pack you bought and resold, the best you've ever seen, was one of those bargains.
I would not be confused if you (or anyone else) were going after nedsk because he was a a proven resealer who was ripping people off. You have some obviously resealed material that someone sent you to look at, but the only thing you got directly from nedsk was graded 8.5 by GAI. Your second transaction I think smells funny, and I would be suspicious too, but you were never able to examine that pack. You got your money back and gave him a second favorable feedback. I wouldn't do that for someone I suspected of being a scammer, even if I did get a refund.
"His stuff sells for too cheap" is not a good enough reason to knock him out of the market. After all these posts, I could not form a hard opinion whether nedsk reseals a little bit, a lot, or not at all. Apparently he does have at least some legitimate stuff, unless he fooled you and GAI with that first '58 pack ... and others who are leaving him positive feedback.
Maybe he sends his legit stuff to dealers and known pros who win his auctions, and the reseals to everyone else. Maybe he was out of legit '58 packs when you won the second time. I dunno. It just doesn't seem cut-and-dried at this point.
