<< <i>thanks Ryan for leaving feedback that doesnt say anything about how the transaction actually went.. that should protect everybody like you were hoping.. >>
I was curious why feedbacks were not coming in on nedsk's 11 or 12 '75 mini boxes (i.e., either positive or negitave!). Only one bidder sent nedsk feedback, it was positive.
Last nite, I contacted that ebay bidder, and asked him if he would let me know if he examined any of those packs in the wax box before he gave his positive feedback. I have not, as yet heard back from him.
I also contacted 3 other winners, and also asked them if they would kindly let me know if they were satisfied with the '75 wax box they won?
Only one has responded to me so far. here was his reply:
(Reply) from dmachine1:
"...To tell you the truth I did not pay for them or received them. I got a message from another ebay member telling me not to buy them. So I didn't. Ned was mad but he let it go. Sorry if you got screwed. I almost was. Good luck..."
Funny, this bidder (i.e., dmachine1) didn't know that i also received a simular message from an ebayer also telling me not to buy. I also didn't buy (stopped payment, contacted nedsk to let him know what and why I did. nedsk was also mad, but it seemed he also "let it go" in my regard).
If (and when) any other ebay members respond to my request(s), I will also post their response(s) here.
It will prove only that ebayers were spooked and did not follow through. nothing more nothing less.
after ned found out that a certain ebayer broke ebay's rules and "warned" other potential buyers he made some of them private auctions.
listen, most here think nedsk was shady. semi shady etc. the bottom line is simply that WE DO NOT KNOW. we may never know. IF you feel that it was risky don't bid on his auctions. but please stop coming on message bds calling guys crooks. many people were satisfied with neds auctions a certain unopened dealer was able to purchase a 47 year old pack that he himself claims was the BEST he ever saw. No need to try and prove NED sold you or mini a bum box. Many already knew that.
Steve, i wish yopu would stop speaking for this thread. It is not "all about you"! All you seem to do here is "put an edge" on the subject by all your chatter here. Looking back at your numereous postings, you seem to enjoy just to chatter. No real substance, just responses. I have not looked at your postings on other subject matter, so i only comment on your dribble on the nedsk subject. As far as I can see, you have questioned (or discredeted) bidders (i.e., mini) as to their motives and in a roundabout way, questioned his truthfulness about his dealings with nedsk.
You question Ryan, as to his motives, you question, if those few packs sent to Ryan, mean or prove anything.
You challanged me "right out of the gate", not knowing me, questioning me, about being a #1 set registry owner, and never posting before, questioning me about cancelling my order just because I received a message from an ebayer.
In fact most of your posts that I've read, have done little to add to this subject, other than insult, question, and fill this thread with idle chatter (your so-called "balance"!). If all your "balance" vanished on the nedsk subject and all the responses (including mine! LOL!) to your chatter also vanished. This nedsk subject would be cleaner, and still very well-balanced.

<< <i>Ryan, don't take offense, but why exactly do you want nedsk booted off eBay forever? >>
I'm not as pessimistic. If I was an honest wax dealer, I would be disgusted to see a scammer ripping people off and flooding the market with resealed goods. It hurts the hobby in general, and makes it harder for the honest dealers to sell their goods at a fair price, since suspicion levels go up. It also discourages new wax collectors from getting deeper into collecting, since they are the most likely to be ripped off by buying from these unknown sellers. Yes, it is good for Ryan to get rid of scammer selling at a low price but it is also good for those of us who collect wax to have a clean market composed of honest dealers. I am very happy to see reputable wax dealers help put scammers out of business.
<< <i>thanks Ryan for leaving feedback that doesnt say anything about how the transaction actually went.. that should protect everybody like you were hoping.. >>
I do agree with this. I've always left honest feedback for sellers, even if they didn't like it. In fact, one common wax seller has blocked me from bidding because I posted positive but perfectly honest feedback about his shipping practices.
I would guess Ryan was either trying to protect himself from from negative relatiation or maybe he is just very forgiving, but we should let him respond instead of assuming the reason. I've left positive feedback for sellers where the deal didn't go through if the seller was upfront about the situation and offered a full refund, but I always mentioned the deal did not complete in my comments.
My guess would be that nedsk eventually found out who Ryan was and decided that it wasn't worth the inevitable humiliation of sending him what he knew was a resealed pack, so he stopped the deal.
Here is the reply that was emailed to be from: hhnostalgia (sent to me on 7/3)

This is probably true - and still not worthy of positive feedback in my opinion. Basically he is saying - "He stopped short of ripping me off, therefore I am happy about that, here's a positive feedback for you. You can go out and rip the less informed, but thanks for sparing me!" Most people don't read the feedback (in most cases), but they do take note of the score, and on a quick glance, who gave the most recent feedback. If you see that a well known dealer of unopened products gave the seller a positive - it gives the seller a touch of credibility. Sounds like that isn't deserved here.

Hi I did in fact get a box of cards from Nedsk what a great deal i got!!
Ned's listings for the mini-75s stated that he had a case of wax and that four boxes were opened. Is it possible that there were only four bad boxes in his mini-75 lot?
I'll plead the OJ guilt logic here. We might not be able to show that all of neds stuff was bad, but I'll bet he sure wasn't surprised when he began to get complaints. The man has a keen awareness of what is happening.
We might not be able to show that all of neds stuff was bad, but I'll bet he sure wasn't surprised when he began to get complaints./i]
I agree, and I bet he wasn't surprised either when bidders started to back out of deals.
The guy bought or was involved in the sale of a rather large collection, he had some fine silver dollars that were encased in GSA plastic, he had some nice coin, he had some nice cards, IE cracker jacks that were slabbed. he also had some bunk too. did he know it was bunk at first>? who knows? but to say that he was a scammer and or a crook was stretching it. ebay is full of nedsk's, some are even more prominant then he will ever be,

rbd - Steve has the knowledge - his posts have always been on the short side. He's a good guy - I wish we could all take the time to just bury the hatchet.
The more you guys take pot shots at each other - the worse it can only get.
I was thinking the same Let's have some related to the topic conversation and leave the negative retaliatory stuff to the private e-mails of those that wish to continue there personal attacks.
I am just gonna answer your first salvo at me...the others are not worth my time......where I said "nice to a poster that called my good friend a name.....you tried to imply that I said it I replied : "nice" because I was taken aback, i used the word nice as a negative, not as a positive. but since you were yet to be here you ASSume that i was agreeing with that post.
and now that you have been shown to be the FOOL that you are you want to bury the hatchet? sure, I will be bigger then you have thus far.
Steve D
ps i would have brought this to PM but TROLLS always have them turned off.....
edited for grammer. and.... I am wondering how you even have that line as the original poster deleted it.....
I've bought some great OPCs (BVG 9.5s). I hope none of my purchases have come from opc sheets!
If I'm the high bidder on this Mays card, I'll sent it to PSA right away! If it is trimmed, sheet cut, etc. I would like to know. What scares me about these cards, why not sent it to PSA to begin with? (Maybe it was sent to PSA already! LOL!)
I'm not sure what years OPC baseball appeared "on the street" on sheets (like OPC Hockey) but I'm quite sure I've heard they do exist. Maybe other could comment on it.
BTW, I have been in contact with J & J cards who emailed me about nedsk. I asked him why he sent me a message about nedsk.
Here's was his reply to me today:
"...Glad I could help! I really Hate seeing people getting ripped off!!! That guy is bad news and really bad for the Hobby!!! James..."
<< <i>What scares me about these cards, why not sent it to PSA to begin with? >>
rbd That's the deal...I think it's pretty much known that Beck will grade sheets but PSA will pass. Either way, I agree with Pandrews - it's a beauty!!!
That's why I watched from a rooftop on LSD(Lake Shore Drive)!
If you didnt get to see any fireworks, I enjoyed this and will continue to post it because I think you will enjoy it and can send on the link to family or clients or whatever.
Wow, I am gone for a few days and this thread has gone to heck in a handbasket. I have not kept up on this NEDSK character, but what is going on. Is all of his stuff bad or is it just some of his product is bad? Did he just get "over his head" and selling too many items at once? Everyone has there own opinion on an issue, whether you agree or not. Why does is have to turn personal.
rbd, The card looks beautiful.....and thanks for agreeing to bury the hatchet! The more everyone ignores those that can't bury the hatchet the better off this thread will be It's really unfortunate it got to this point, but as civalized adults, I believe most have chosen to move forward and leave the juvenile retoric behind.
Julen, Sorry to hear the Chicago Fireworks didn't live up to the expectation. In the Salt Lake area we were treated to a few fireworks displays as they had one on July 2nd an then on the 4th in different local cities and they were done to music as most good shows are now done
Not only has this thread been good for learning about a potential problem seller and sharing the information about who was scammed and who was not. For the most part it's been about good people coming together and helping others! It's about sharing positive opinions for the greater good. For me it has been a little about regaining the trust I had in finding sellers that sell quality unopened material. I certainly am thankful to those that have come forward with honest concern and shared information in an effort to help in anyway they could. It's a tribute to what makes our country great. Freedom of Speech! Something most respect and are thankful for! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
, I believe most have chosen to move forward and leave the juvenile retoric behind.
The more everyone ignores those that can't bury the hatchet the better off this thread will be
if those "others" truly wanted to bury the hatchet, the so called spread sheet would have been deleted b4 I could reply AND your above statements would have been better worded.
Steve D
i will now from this point on ignore you both. we will see just how you bury the hatchet.

That card in the world of OPC's is a keeper! Question...I know there were rumors of sheet cutting on OPC hockey - does this go for baseball also?
mike
and now that you have been shown to be the FOOL that you are you want to bury the hatchet? sure, I will be bigger then you have thus far.
Steve D
ps i would have brought this to PM but TROLLS always have them turned off.....
edited for grammer. and.... I am wondering how you even have that line as the original poster deleted it.....
James..."

Ow! I hate when that happens.

That's the deal...I think it's pretty much known that Beck will grade sheets but PSA will pass. Either way, I agree with Pandrews - it's a beauty!!!

Julen-
That's why I watched from a rooftop on LSD(Lake Shore Drive)!
If you didnt get to see any fireworks, I enjoyed this and will continue to post it because I think you will enjoy it and can send on the link to family or clients or whatever.

Bury the hatchet? I think you two ought to meet for drinks.
What was this thread originally about, anyway? I forgot.
Jr it would have been nice had he been accurate.
and not left words out etc.

Nice link! Thanks for sharing!
rbd, The card looks beautiful.....and thanks for agreeing to bury the hatchet! The more everyone ignores those that can't bury the hatchet the better off this thread will be
Julen, Sorry to hear the Chicago Fireworks didn't live up to the expectation.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

if those "others" truly wanted to bury the hatchet, the so called spread sheet would have been deleted b4 I could reply AND your above statements would have been better worded.
Steve D
