<< <i>Joe....as I said yesterday....Bucs...Mwahahahahaha...gonna be a looong season.
Anyone remember the Oakland Raiders of the 70's who got beaten by Pittsburgh everytime it counted until they put it together and won it all the FOURTH time around????

Stevek, you should have made some money! J/K, collectively however, we are beating the books through week 2, but it's feast or famine as there's a $365 swing between first and last place.

EDIT: "1420" buddy, you stuck yourself in here before I could answer "Dabeef"...under his post!
Hey, "Dabeef" !
Is that beef between your ears....
In that thread we were predicting outcomes of a game a week away....if I was a betting man, I'd certainly would have covered the three points you had to lay on an Eagles bet.
Moron...I guess you should know meathead; totally misunderstood the post and talk of a "REAL" score???? Would that be the make believe score you tell yourself it would have been if T.O. were denied and Culpepper scored???
Reality is the EAGLES won and Vikongs LOST. Live with it !

Brian - Glad you are doing well. Please understand me that I have NEVER rooted against a gambler in my life and I never will. I sincerely hope that you, Kuhlmann and all others do well. But I will never place another bet again. I have seen too much and know too much about the realities of gambling. I personally know a $50 - $100 a game bettor who lost $30,000 over a weekend to the bookies by doubling up, tripling up and more chasing his losses. I have seen a lot of good people get financially crushed by bookies. You might find this funny, but I have actually become a better sports fan and enjoy the games more without the betting. I did like your posts in previous threads about not letting the bookies bait you in - very wise! You seem to have a good handle on things, as well as a nice collection of 65 Topps. Meanwhile, I'm savoring this football season because the Eagles are going ALL THE WAY!!!
Before I go to work, what about the bs Pass Int call on the Eagles first drive. Vikes stop the Eagles and they should be punting from the 45. But NO, Pass Int on Winfield. After showing the replay, NOTHING. Not even incedental contact. Those refs blew this game, on with my life and off to work. Still pisse# !
I guess every penalty call was bad? What 10 for 70 yards? Pretty big numbers.
The Vikings led in time of possession, net passing and total yards, 3rd and 4th down conversions, and 1st downs.
Perhaps the Red zone efficiency of 20% and goal to go of 0% was a factor. Got to put the ball in the zone man. The Eagles D made sure that did not happen.
In a few weeks it will all be over and you can join Stalin and Kmann in the "Gee Wasn't Our Team Great in 19?? or 20??" thread.
No doubt they chiked in the red zone. Especially 1st and goal and DC doenst sneak it, gimmie a break. Anywho, yeah I blame those 70 yds you refer to. Ya got alot of breaks, none for the Vikes...
Congratulations to The Eagles and 1420. I didn't expect my Vikes to go into Philly on Monday night this early in the year and win.
The Eagles are a quality team no doubt, but the Vikings will be just fine. They were a little snake-bit Monday night but pretty much moved the ball at will against a good Philly D. The Eagles dodged a bullet. You won't see the Vikes having that much trouble punching it in the end zone very often.
I don't understand the failure of Tice and the booth upstairs to order reviews on several plays. Sure looked like Dante was in for a score before the fumble and obviously TO's touchdown was bogus.
Injures are becoming a big concern with the loss of Kleinsasser, Wiggins, Irvin and Rosenthal. If they can quit getting people hurt they are Superbowl Contenders. The D is much better than the stats indicate and will continue to improve.

He clearly fumbled and I agree that TO did not score. Culpepper's fumble would not have been overturned. I wondered why Tice didn't challenge either play as well. And then he goes and challenges a sack/downfield penalty

HBO's Inside The NFL did an interesting piece on th game. NFL coaches have only the same shots to look at as the fans watching TV. ABC chose to shoe TO celebrating, Moss looking on, cheerleaders, fans etc. instead of going to the replay. By the time the Vikings staff got a look at the replay, the extra point was being kicked.
Collingsworth suggested the NFL modify its rule to allow coaching staffs the opportunity to see all td's before the extra point is kicked.
I'm not crying, the Vikings didn't play well enough to earn a win, but they are for real.

Congratulations 1420sports on the birth of your son!
You are right - Jack will soon be shaking his pacifier in one hand and shaking a little Eagles pennant in his other hand, yelling at the TV set cheering on an Eagles Super Bowl victory.
Ok soflphillyfan 1420 AND I are working out a small gentlemens bet! COWBOYS iggles this year have to win both games to win! if split team that wins by more points wins bet! you in? small graded card or maybe have to put a star in your icon! or i have to put an eagle in mine !
Kuhlmann - Done! Rules accepted for an Eagle in your icon or (this is tough for me to type on the keyboard) a Dallas star in my icon. You didn't say for how many posts? Let's make it for 10 posts starting right after the second game is over. And no posts to go into some obscure thread in the open forum - all posts must be in the "sports cards & memorabilia" section. Confirmed?
ok the poll is up and ready(if you have anyproblems let me know). www.gdlcards.com no spread winner get a trophy!

Our Eagles did just enough today to win against the Bears. This coming week is a bye week. Eagles always play great football after a bye. As predicted by most Eagles fans, the Eagles this season are on the road to the Super Bowl. Nothing is going to stop us this time.

Looks like you were watching a different game Kmann. When you come back from the 4th dimension we'll loan you the highlight tape.
Congrats fellow Eagle fans. They played like we know they can.
The critics will be silenced soon. Bring on the Lions.

A BOY!!!!!!
His name is Jack, and he is an Eagles fan
edited to add ... it is not going to be long until he sees an Eagles Super Bowl victory
Since all Cowgirls players are pinheads that helmet would be too small for an infant.
He needs a helmet with wings that will ensure he reaches great heights in the future.
Congrats 1420!

Cowboys-Eagles. Team has to win both games, tie breaker is team that wins by most points.
Loser (kuhlmann) will post 10 times in Sports Cards and Memorabilia, using Eagles logo icon.
If h#ll freezes over and Armageddon is imminent, I will post same using a Cowpunchers star.
The Eagles did what they had to do against the Lions.
