Never mind FDOI - Baltimore; How about FS - Baltimore (Pop 1)
I wish I knew about that one. Do you have a pic of the label to post?
I will take a pic of this and post. As far as I am aware at this point - it's a POP 1 and I own it.
I dunno. It's a POP 1 piece of paper attached to a POP 500 coin that are all otherwise indistinguishable from the rest of a POP 10,000 issue.
And yet you seem very proud of it, while at the same time poo-pooing what people were and are willing to pay for individually numbered coins, with a signed COA from the Mint director, in a POP 230 issue. All of which are literally POP 1 coins, not merely labels, by virtue of the individual number attribution performed upon striking at the Mint.
Moreover, they are part of a POP 230, not 10,000. Seems more than a bit incongruous to me.
Lets not get into the "piece of paper" discussion. There is at least 20 years of history on how that little piece of paper that says "First Strike" or "FDOI" of "Advanced Released" translates to higher prices for literally the same coins.

Mint website now showing both gold and silver as SOLD OUT.
Gone baby gone... I wonder if anyone was able to place an order any day after January first.
I believe you were the only FH Au order in 2025!
It will be very interesting to see what shows up on the next mint sales report. On the previous report the total sales were still about 25 shy of the 10,000 product limit.

The FHG shows one (1) less coin--YOUR coin! ✓
12/23 = 9975 pcs
12/30 & 1/5 = 9974 pcs
Between 11/25(9982 pcs) and 1/5(9974 pcs) there has been some movement back & forth with the numbers, but at the rate of only 8 pcs, which seems like a small number to me. But I'm no expert.
25 shy of the 10,000 limit is pretty good imo, and I don't expect that number to ever go up due to damaged & culled coins that were un-sellable.

It looks like they struck exactly 10,000 of the coins and 26 got canned, for a final number of 9,974. 93 of the silver medals got canned, so they ended up with a mintage of 49,907.

Yes...but does it have STAYING POWER...and if so, how much and for how long ?
If only this was a trading card, it would have 1 of 1 on it.
LOL - you're right on that one!
It's just a little annoying that our hosts can't be more inclusive about label offerings - especially for "show releases".
I accept the fact that certain labels are reserved for BULK submissions (FDOI) - but something like this 2024 Gold Flowing Hair $1 - obtained at the mint booth on Nov 14th and walked right over to the PCGS table, verified by giving them a copy of the receipt, is somehow not "FDOI" ? Well, apparently it was good enough for the 10 pcs that one dealer delivered on that same day.
Anyway, I walk away with a POP 1. They walk away with a POP 11.
It will probably go up for sale. If there is interest here just PM me. If the number isnt right then it will make its way to GC.

The 10k figure was obvious to many of us. So we can put the nonsense of several thousand minted to be sold later as part of some mysterious set to rest!

Don't hold your breath, putting it to rest isn't going to be easy buddy!

What is obvious to some is mysterious to others...
Pinehurst's pricing today. The cognoscenti will already know this, but I did not realize that a) "advance release" coins command such a premum, and b) that the silver with privy sells for more than the gold without privy. Interesting.

And thats why the POP11 pieces are auctioning for 7450 on ebay vs FDOI non baltimore label of ~5450 or $2000 more.
I think NJ Coin just likes to press buttons. Probably not buying one coin himself but sure has alot to say.
I believe the Gold Privey "230" coins have value, far in excess of the normal gold, but not $45k far.
More like $15k for a 70.

Best to not engage with him. I learned that months ago.😉

njcoin, some paper makes more paper.
"It should be one more not one less"
Dyslexia, thank you!
You need an @NJCoin if you want him to see it.

Love the gold label! That is a fine looking coin. Congratulations!😎
