Hey guys I'm new to the day after it goes on sale at the mint game. If any become available you need to be on the mint website at 6:30am the next day and days that follow?

For those who got one today did u use PayPal or were u able to use a CC?
Thx for the info!
I used a CC. I haven't used it recently but I would imagine the PP interface would insert a few seconds of delay and when every second matters, you don't want to take chances.

PAYPAL also cuts out a few steps in verifying billing address and CVV entry
The problem being people in the line DID NOT have their submission forms filled out or in order.
There was PCGS personnel walking the line to check if you had your forms filled out and ready to go, but, some said "yes" but were in no way ready to submit.
They should have to get out of the seat and fill out elsewhere.
Common sense. Period.
Its like the people who show up at the counter of the post office with the item in hand, not packed or box sealed and want to mail it.
OMG drives me crazy all the time. Where do these people come from? Mars?

I had another and checked out this morning, but HHL of one stopped the payment process. So all you that didn't get one should have been able to
I had it in the cart this morning within 15 seconds and it was sold out before I could hit enter. Oh well.
Same here, had in cart at 7:30 but when I hit submit, after entering CC info. they were gone. When you put in cart the Mint should hold your order in line while you enter payment info within a short time period (5 minutes) and have the coin held. I was done within 2 minutes and lost out. Since I have no subscriptions, I have no stored CC info which I do not want to enter if I'm not buying anything, for fear of it being hacked.
There would be a line at the USM booth if they were available. They would be available at opening.
So, most likely, the 500 amount mentioned yesterday for sale at Baltimore makes sense.

Credit card. Had my card info already saved on the site. Took Probably less than 15 seconds from the time I clicked the red add to bag button till checkout was complete

What a boon for PCGS. $70/piece to grade a modern. $88 if they want a First Strike label.

If the mint sold coins yesterday off one counter for 6 hours that would be 360 minutes to process 500 individual orders. When numbers get reported is there a breakdown of where sales took place?
The process was with one register. Anywhere between 45-60 seconds per person. I was there---less than a minute for me.
Others had cash and a little bit longer to count it out.
500 is very realistic for yesterday.

Do we have anyone on the show floor in Baltimore that can verify if the mint has additional quantities for sale today?
Just checked with the Mint rep Mark, and he said they sold all 500 that were brought , including the display case coin. He also stated emphatically that 17,500 coins were sold!

Crazy to lift it when the product's unavailable. And unfair as well. When more pop they'll all be gone in a nanosecond. Really thankful I got one today.

That sounds like confirmation of the sell-out. I might try again a couple morning's at 6:30 am central. I bet many dozens more will be made available and snapped up in a heartbeat w/o a HHL.

Are they saying a Privy was struck before any non-privy? If it was the very first coin struck, it would have to be that way.
I don't agree. They are seperate dies so it can still be the first privy struck even if non-privy was first
Couldn't some 69's be 69's because of planchet issues rather than striking and post-strike handling?
I have a tiny planchet flaw on the reverse of my FH, so I assume I’ll be getting a 69 because the rest of the coin is perfect. I’ll post an image later today.

Are planchet flaws really supposed to prohibit 70 grades for coins which technically are "as struck"?
Regardless, anything tiny thing at all, that I ever see on a coin that I submit under 5x magnification, usually results in a 69, including things I don't see. I am almost afraid to open mine which just arrived.

The privy is on the die
Of course, please add coin after the word privy.
Back to my point, Stacks says, #1 Coin Struck of 230, that's fine.
But then they say, "This is the VERY FIRST coin struck of the historic 230th anniversary Flowing Hair gold coin series,"
The way I'm reading it, is, for that to be true, then production minting of the non-privy coins could not have started prior to that Privy Coin being struck.
If Non privy production had already started, then one of us will have " the VERY FIRST coin struck of the historic 230th anniversary Flowing Hair gold coin series, " and that one there might be # 17501.
I'm just saying, if I was spending well over $50,000, I'd want to know, but I'm not, so if the buyer doesn't care that's fine with me.
My guess is around 20k for one of the 69’s. But that may on the low side. I think the people that think they will immediately flip these for a profit have a rude awakening coming their way.

There is no way to prove your point if your interpretation is correct.

I don't think people are buying the auction coins for an immediate flip. If you have that kind of money you don't need to flip them.🤣😂

Maybe they had a Stacks rep in the room when that coin was struck and has the production schedules showing that zero non-privy coins were struck yet.

Congrats dude! I couldn’t bring myself to setting an alarm at 4:15AM PST on my day off. Very happy for you.

7:30 eastern

In my experience having a linked PayPal account has worked every time
PAYPAL also cuts out a few steps in verifying billing address and CVV entry
Everytime I got a good purchase on extremely limited items it was the PAYPAL button for me.......
Do we have anyone on the show floor in Baltimore that can verify if the mint has additional quantities for sale today?
She has landed
I was able to add one to the bag and check out this morning. I used my CC.
I’m here at PCGS booth, I’ll check shortly. BTW PCGS is slammed!
It was slammed yesterday as well. They could have had on line for one coin submissions, such as the Gold Flowing Hair and moved that line quicker.
The problem being people in the line DID NOT have their submission forms filled out or in order.

Thanks, Bully!
Next stop, the auction, gonna be a hoot.
Very first coin struck auction and it includes the cancelled dies. To the moon, Alice:
Stack gold privy auction.
All graded.
All PCGS
First one already $40,000 bid
185 PR70's
45 PR69's.
All mixed in and numbered.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
That's a higher percentage of 69's than I expected, especially for the first few coins struck:
My bid is in for my lucky number - 24:
Of the 230 privy 79% are 70 and 21% are 69. Not that unusual.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
** Current Bid $48,000**
The real question is what the lowest winning bid will be for a PR70 example. I want that one. LOL
