Y’know Bam, with a bit of polish you would have done well here when David Hall and Otis were at the controls. Under corporate tutelage though, the reins are tight and the more adventuresome don’t have much of a shelf life.

    This thing is still alive?

    Until Monday. :*

Usually a random "error find" OP gives up after a bit. This one is really taking a stand against imaginary enemies.

He seems to think it's very important to make sure that everyone understands how important he is and how much everyone should regret their behavior. 🙄🙄🙄

Even to the point of making veiled threats:

“ And I understand. It's the PERCEIVED anonymity that you THINK you have on the internet. What you don't realize is that given the countless thousands of posts you've made on the internet under the same user name, here and elsewhere, if someone you've gone out of your way to antagonize and make enemies with decided to take it offline into the real world, just based on the information you've unwittingly shared, a little piece here, a little clue there, in those thousands of posts, they could EASILY identify you, it is NOT as difficult or as daunting a task as you would like to think. Consider this when you decide to act out and deliberately start a war with unknown parties that you may be seriously underestimating.”

Good luck with that. Let a lawyer peruse that FACTUAL cautionary statement of internet common sense for evidence of a threat.

But see, since my posting that he stopped trolling. Maybe it dawned on him that his course of action is unwise. He's thinking, "Oh no. Maybe there's connections in my tens of thousands of internet posts to my user name here! To any and all social media platforms, some of which can easily identify me. I better not rile up people whose capabilities and level of treachery are unknown". And that's the SMART way to approach internet posting.

It would be wise for him to think that way. "I should THINK before posting. Would I say that to this guy if he was right in the room with me and he knew exactly who I was?".

This is a huge problem on the net. People say things to others that they never would in person.

Luckily, I have no intention of finding out who he is, but the next time he starts in with someone, it may not be with someone of my thinking.

Not that it matters because you'll be banned Monday morning and this thread will be deleted but..

Many of your comments are regarding how posters are "hiding behind keyboards". I'm sure you're not aware but many of us know each other in real life and, in many cases, have known each other for decades. For the regular posters on here, there is at most 2 degrees of separation for every single person in real life. We trust each other with tens of thousands of dollars on our word on a regular basis and see each other somewhat frequently.

You are anonymous and spouting off. Who knows if what you're saying is true, embellished, fabricated, whatever. And it doesn't matter because it will all be gone. Enjoy yourself for the next ~44 hours.

NO! NO! Not THAT?!?! Being banned from posting on a forum full of sociopathic belligerent miscreants with God-complexes will be a monumental tragedy of epic proportions I'm sure! I don't know how I will survive it. What's the number for that National Suicide Prevention Hotline?

Here's a tip for you. If you're ALL God, each and every one of you, and better than everyone else, then none of you are. Simple logic seems to be in short supply here.

I do very well with normal people, and you're OK Doc, but most of the others here? Not so much. Hall & Otis would have been a dandy name for a pop-music duo! B)

And if the powers that be really want to keep a tight rein on the forum, they should evaluate ALL the horses and their roles on it, rather than concentrate on 1 or 2 ponies.

Cause determines effect. That's what they should evaluate when assessing blame and making changes.

    That’s how it works here.

That was your experience but it didn't work out like that for me, you know the old saying, "Your experience and result may vary"?

Were you ridiculed and trolled soon after you asked your question? Would you have "thanked them" if you were?

And I DID thank the ones who actually helped. I did not thank the ones who told me to go pound sand, which was 99.9% of the malcontents here.

Bambino, you and I exposed ourselves when we posted questionable coins. I did not dispute the replies.
You cannot defend an opinion of the coin without providing the weight. Does the coin stick to a magnet?

When discussion leaves the coin reason goes off too.

There are many threads like this. They’re funny as hell when they’re not mine.

I didn't make the coin. I found it. I didn't try to foist it on anyone or even suggest a sales agenda. I asked for help and was immediately attacked for it. If that's the gist of this forum, just tell people to go elsewhere if seeking help right in the banner. Saves time.

Your first three sentences above sound truthful. The fourth one’s a blatant lie - not the first you’ve told here. And you don’t seem to be nearly as concerned with saving time as you do with repeatedly playing the role of a poor, innocent victim who’s been unfairly ganged up on, mistreated, ridiculed and abused.

If you keep posting so much and time it just right, maybe you’ll get lucky and be able to make the last post to this thread before it gets locked or deleted.

"If you are wondering if the anger levels you or someone you know is experiencing are normal, here are a few signs that there might be an anger management problem.

    1. Passive Aggressiveness

When most people think of anger management problems they think of more vocal and/or physical demonstrations of anger, but passive aggressiveness can be just as much of a sign of trouble as the more traditional displays of anger.

Some people do not even relize they are dipping into this type of anger. Passive aggressive behavior is often expressed in sarcasm, acting mean, or just being apathetic.

    1. Blaming Others

When you lay the blame for problems at the feet of others, it is easy to feel angry. Feeling like your situation is entirely the fault of someone else can be infuriating.

However, anger problems often times have little to do with what actually happens to you and instead are a result of how you interpret what happens to you.

If you find yourself constantly blaming others for failed relationships or poor performance at work, that can be a sign of an anger problem.

    1. You Anger Frequently

Feeling angry all the time is not only a sign of an issue, but it is also physically and emotionally unhealthy. If you find yourself angry more often than not, that is a sign of a problem.

    1. Aggression

This is an easy one to identify. All of us experience feelings of anger from time to time. Not all of us express it in road rage, by physically or verbally abusing those around us, or by punching walls and doors.

This sort of behavior often results in physical damage to property or other people.

If you are expressing your emotions in these ways, you likely have a problem controlling your anger.

    1. The Duration of Your Anger is Too Long

One of the telltale signs of an anger management problem is when angry outburts last for a long time.

An example of this is if on your way to work, someone upsets you and you are still simmering about it at the end of the day. This inability to quickly and easily let things go is a typical problem people who are struggling with their anger face.

Not only is this emtionally unhealthy, but when your body is kept in that state throughout most of the day, it is physically draining.

    1. Your Anger is Disproportionate to the Situation at Hand

There is nothing wrong with feeling angry from time to time. If you find yourself having a complete meltdown, especially over a issue that is small, that is not okay.

As a baseball fan, when I think of this I think of some of the classic meltdowns of managers like Earl Weaver and Tommy Lasorda. As fans we laugh about it and sometimes even cheer them on. Off the baseball field, behavior like that is a sign that someone needs to seek anger management therapy, and quickly.

If you find that your anger is causing problems for you personally and professionally, if outbursts at work have put your employment in jeopardy, if your relationships are becoming damaged, it is time to seek help from an anger management therapist."

    https://keithmillercounseling.com/6-signs-you-may-need-anger-management-help/

I hope to God you copied and pasted that. I would hate to think that someone actually chose to compose THAT on such a gorgeous day instead of feeding geese, playing sports, or basking in the sun.

You know very little about human nature or you'd realize that the ones who are quiet, hide their intent, and then explode physically, to the detriment of others around them, are the ones to worry about.

Is that considered an honor here, making the final post of a closed thread? What would I win? An all expenses paid date with CoinScratch's wife? If that's the grand prize, I've already had that, do I get to pick an alternate prize?

How about my prize being that I bid in a Heritage auction on an item that I want and NP Gresham doesn't shill bid me into the stratosphere? Could I have that as my prize instead of another date with Coinscratch's missus?

    Haven’t heard.

Did you ever consider that @Coinscratch 's mother might be reading this right now? Would you say those things to her face?

Of course. I'd repeat to him exactly what I stated here.

Why is his mother a "him"?

How are you reading my posts if you blocked them, Pinocchio?

I have no idea if it was quoted or not, and I don't want to waste my time checking, but what I do know is that if a non-blocked user quotes a post from a blocked user, the person who has that user blocked can still see what they said.

The op will be gone on Monday, but I'm sure they'll be back with another alt soon. For a new/novice collector they sure seem to know a lot about Heritage, etc. ;)

Hey @Bambino1 , if you would really like to stay on this forum, then I have a few pieces of advice for you. Delete all of these posts, then apologize publicly to the whole forum. Also, sent an apology to the mods, and I'll give you their name if you want to PM them. How does this sound.

I don't know, Chris. You'd all have to apologize to ME first. Come to me with hat in hand and beg for my forgiveness. Then, I may consider it. But you'd have to first overwhelm me with a heartfelt group apology of such genuine sincerity that I just couldn't refuse you. .

I already know almost everybody's names here. Ya'll have left a trail of breadcrumbs that is easy to follow, each of you making many posts on forums and social media that clearly and unmistakably identifies you. Again, because I didn't know about silver pennies, you assume I don't possess skills in web and deep web sleuthing. In your haste to ridicule folks as your inferiors, y'all have a habit of chronically underestimating the resourcefulness and savvy of your intended targets.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the forum to make a group apology to me, hats in hands. o:)

Try to keep up. Because I was speaking to CoinScratch and not his mother. That said, I would repeat to Coinscratch (him) exactly what I wrote to him on the forum, to his face, whether his mother was standing there or not. Of course, if she was standing there when I repeated it to HIM, it would be icing on the cake! >:)

  • I feel exactly the same way I did before I even found the coin that I didn't know was there in a box that someone in my family rat-holed away more than 50 or 60 years ago, judging by the other items that were in that box. The coin is back in the box.
At this point I have such distaste for coins and anyone associated with them that I wouldn't look at it again if it was worth a million dollars. It's back from whence it came now as if I never found it. I wish I hadn't.

I was blissfully ignorant of the type of people coin hobbyists are. Now I know. If I was walking down the sidewalk and one of you was aflame and there was a bucket of water right there, I'd trip on it and kick it over, and that's the truth.

Ahh.. a loophole! So if I were to post to myself in the second party, then someone quote me and posted, to wit I quoted them answering both myself in the third party and also them in the second party, then even if blocked, they could still see it! Good to know.

Or, the bold move would be to make ME a weekend moderator on a trial basis. Which I will graciously accept the mantle of IF I get that forum group apology first, hats in hands of course! Then I could really whip this forum into shape and you'll all finally have a forum to be proud of instead of ashamed of! :)

Can I tabulate that as the first of what I can expect to be many more apologies?

It's mock outrage, Doc, they're not really offended, they really don't possess the necessities to feel offended or be embarrassed for that matter.

Please be advised that once the forum makes that group apology to me, on bended knees, with hats in hands, and I CHOOSE to graciously accept their apology, I will consider being the head moderator on the weekends. At that point, with YOU being the only one here that is a gentleman, I will call upon you to become my second in command! ;)

I'm busy preparing my Master Moderator acceptance speech. The powers that be just sent me a private message offering me the position. I've accepted. The official announcement will be on Monday to be followed by an hour of ceremonial drunken debauchery.
