I have kept all but one in raw form and suspect they are mostly in the 66 range - they do look good under all light and angling conditions. I really love these coins!
Love that Milled British (1830-1960) Well, just Love coins, period.

15 W quarters up for sale last night on GC with none receiving a single bid.
I also saw that the eBay coins are not selling at the opening bid prices.
The demaned has waned in my opinion.
Might be time to start the opening bids at .99 cents.

If demand has waned, definitely DO NOT start the bidding at 99 cents. You only start at 99 cents when the demand is high.

You are definitely entitled to your opinion but I caution you to not assume demand for all W quarters has waned using these specific auctions as proof.
I haven't stalked GC like you have but as I stated earlier these W quarters are priced way too high on their starting bids and I believe they are the same ones just being relisted without any change to the starting bids. Such a waste of time.🙄
I cannot comment on the Ebay listings without you posting the links for each coin. My guess is those auctions have high starting bids as well.
Personally, I lost an auction on Ebay last night for a W ender roll that sold for higher than my maximum bid. I didn't have time to try and snipe bid because I was watching the NFL games.😂🤣
I agree with you that the starting bids should be lower but they don't have to start at 99 cents to get bids. A more realistic starting bid below current market value will get these coins sold at close to or may even exceed current market value.😎

I see two markets for W quarters - average collectors who mostly seem to want nice raw examples and registry collectors chasing slabbed (mostly PCGS) top pops. I see the in-between quarters as a weak market right now. In-between quarters are slabbed mid-MS examples that are more than $25 but don’t help with the registry game. The GC quarters you cite fall into that bucket in my opinion. If you auction a top-pop on GC, I think it will do well - us registry collectors will bid on it. If you post decent raw examples on eBay, they will do just fine as it seems prices have held up.
GC and eBay are (generally speaking) different audiences and collector markets. I wouldn’t draw conclusions about the entire W market based on GC.

I agree that there are different markets for the w quarters.
One being strong and one being weak.
I feel that w quarters in the ms67 grades or higher, will always be in demand due to the quanity available.
Coins in the grades of ms60 to ms65 are all to common and starting bids and asking prices are way to high.
The coins in ms66, can go either way.
Coins that are toned, are in a market all their own.
Who understands the selling / buying prices on these?
No rhyme or reason.
I do not buy coins for their color but by their grade.
I listed the grades of the GC coins that were mentioned in my comments in above posts.
I never used the word "entire or all" when I used the word "waned."
I spoke only about the coins that I had been watching.
I interpreted the OP's discussion title as a general all-around statement for all coins and not specific ones.
This is why I chose to do some reasearch.
Yes, interesting. I fall into the "tweeners" group as I have only one slabbed MS66 but carefully hand-picked excellent raw examples of the other 9....Love them and like pulling them out to look at them on occasion.

Wayne, appreciate your feedback and your interest in the W quarters.
I agree with you and thanks for the clarification of your posts.
I think you and PN are spot on with your analysis of the current W quarters market.😎

Stop teasing us! Post some pics!🤣😂
I'm not real happy with these custom holders I made. I wish Capital Plastics made a specific 5 coin W set for the 2019 & 2020 series.

Your 2020 set is out of order sir!😂🤣
If I fix it, I'll die a happy man. I'd rather have nice premade capital sets for the W series.

They're still out there but they are getting worse the longer they stay in circulation.
