12 Days of Christmas Carnage X (The Series Finale!): Merry Christmas (Brown RC)

Well it's finally here, time to put an end to this madness :)

A few years ago when I decided to bring this to an end, I tried to come up with a theme for this last Christmas rip. What I decided on was to do a series of pack runs going as far back as I could afford and try and get a few additional packs that I've never opened to throw into the mix.

For the pack runs, I ended up with runs of wax, cello and racks from 1975 to 1990!
I only end ended up with one pack that I've never open before (but bid on quite a few...)
And for the grand finale pack, let's just say that I'm hoping lightning strikes twice!

So here they are...

The wax run:

The cello run:

The rack run:

And the big bets:

The schedule:

14 - 1990 & 1989 runs ('90 Aikman RC)
15 - 1988 & 1987 runs ('88 Bennett RC)
16 - 1986 & 1985 runs ('86 Rice & Young RCs, '85 Moon RC)
17 - 1984 & 1983 runs ('84 Dickerson RC, '83 McMahon RC)
18 - 1982 & 1981 runs ('81 Monk RC, '81 Payton)
19 - 1980 & 1979 runs ('79 Campbell RC)
20 - 1978 run (Dorsett RC)
21 - 1977 run (Nothing)
22 - 1976 run (White RC)
23 - 1975 run (Simpson)
24 - 1955 Wax (Matson)
25 - 1958 Cello (Brown RC, Starr)

The Prequels:

2021 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage IX
2020 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage VIII (2 - '58 Cello - Brown RC!)
2019 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage VII ('58 Cello)
2018 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage VI ('59 Cello)
2017 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage V ('58 & '60 Cello)
2016 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage IV ('60 Cello)
2015 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage III ('58 Cello)
2014 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage II ('59 & '60 Cello)
2013 - 12 Days of Christmas Carnage I ('58 Cello)
2012 - Christmas - (2 - '58 Cellos)
2011 - Christmas - ('58 Cello)

One Football set that caught my interest back in the 90’s was the 1994 Upper Deck Electric sets (silver & gold). I went back a few years from then and did some Topps sets…. And these photos remind me of how exciting it was collecting back then, as the league was growing in popularity.

    Fabulous!!!

Congrats on a beautiful Young RC and a very clean Rice RC. I think the Moon RC could be a solid PSA 9 too…beautiful card with only the slightest chipping on the bottom border. Great cards…thanks for sharing!

  • FirstBeardFirstBeard Posts: 459 ✭✭✭

Wow. Nicely done! That Rice is crispy! Plus two Bernie Kosars.
