Now…it’s time to open the true vintage. Come on…Jim Brown RC! Merry Christmas…thanks for ramping up the anticipation of the Christmas season over the years!
Other than the centering, this pack yielded amazing cards. The corners and colors on these cards are some of the best I've ever seen for 67 year old cards! Unfortunately, only one HOF and one decently centered card among the bunch.
Love those 55 Bowmans Scott! I started collecting that set around 10 years ago (bought a lot of around 50 PSA 7's and 8's from a member here on the BST forum back then, cant remember who though). Seeing those beautiful colors makes me want to resume collecting it again--and thanks for including a pic of the gum puzzle lol--nice job piecing it back together as well as including it along with the cards--most of the time when people open 50's or 60's packs they never post a pic of the gum slab (or fragments) which is a useful tool for us pack collectors in determining if a pack is legit if we ever muster up the courage (or are crazy enough lol) to open it!
Based on the cards showing, it's no surprise how this pack turned out. I was expecting an off centered mess and 2 big HOFs (and a couple others) and that is exactly what I got!
and lastly...
Well, I was hoping for a few more sparks this year to wrap things up with a bang, but this is how it goes most of the time in this game. My second Jimmy pull was awesome, the '55 Bowman was a thrill and centered Youngs and Rices are always a highlight.
I can't say I'll never open another pack, but I can say that this will be the last of the marathon opening sessions for me. A decade is long enough! In many ways I'm glad they're over, but I'm sure this time next year, I'll be missing the thrill of the hunt.
A fun rip. 30 years ago, those cards would have been the talk of the town. There's nothing wrong with pack fresh OC HOF rookies. Thanks for sharing your journey with the board.
Great thread, I'll have to go back and check out the others. And now, not to miss a golden opportunity..... In my BEST Peanuts voice: "Merry Christmas Jimmy Brown!".... Hark the Herald Angels sing....
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.

Thanks for sharing the results. You got a nice OJ but you pulled the wrong Chargers QB card!
You beat me to it Mike. That Bubba looks amazing.
The OJ card, the 74 champs w/Foreman, and the Wally Hilgenberg are both classic Topps photography at its finest.
Cant wait.

Fantastic. Those Bowmans are beautiful and pulling a Brown has to be a rush, even if it is OC. Thanks for the Xmas fun all of these years!
Thanks for sharing and making our Holidays more exciting. Congrats on the Brown! Those ‘55 Bowman cards really pop! Incredible color.
