Or will it be a tricky one…….

Collecting sports cards and autographs is amazing. But wherever you are beats anything.

My favorite items in my lacrosse collection are the old postcards, especially when they have notes written on the back. This card of the 1910 New Westminster Salmonbellies just arrived in the mail recently.
It is postmarked September 18, 1910, and the note on the back reads:
"Dear Willie- Your pet Nationals lost here Saturday 7-3 before 12000 people. It was a good game in spots but I think the silverware [trophy] will stay with us a while longer. Love to all, Jim"
I did a bit of online research and learned the game being referenced was played the day before, on Saturday, September 17, 1910. The Salmonbellies defeated the Montreal Nationals 7-3.
I just love these little glimpses into history, and wonder just how this postcard was saved for 112 years before it came to me?
hey AFLfan,
That's pretty cool...
Big thank you to Dave and Adam for selling me this. It properly fills the holder. I look every day for ones centered like this. I find one per year if I’m lucky. Finding a Topps Lemieux centered like this is so hard for every picky collector like me.
hey handyman.
Very nice...
Some affordable, well centered flea market pick ups this morning.
.
These are back after 18 months at PSA. For me, it’s really rewarding to self-submit raw cards and get these grades back.
hey PNWcollector,
Oh Yeah! You did very well...
This is the last regular card of Hank.
I collect hall of fame rookie cards, https://www.instagram.com/stwainfan/
hey stwainfan,
Very nice...
Love cross over cards and got these two this morning. Not high end, but pretty cool IMO.

Did a show in Arlington, TX yesterday. Show was still going today but I decided to drive home instead of fighting Cowboys traffic. From what I could tell people were not spending money but instead everyone was walking up either looking to sell something or trade That being said here is what I walked out with
hey rexvos,
You did very well there...
Nice, I had that Gonzo too.

Picked up another Bench RC this month. I am looking for an 8/8.5 centered and still seeking one in that grade range, but this one looked strong and price was decent.
hey KendallCat,
Nice one...
What did you pay for that?
Great cards! I'm not familiar with the Manning cards. Any idea why they appear to be signed on the back? Just curious.
Johnny Unitas is on the other side of that card .
looking for 1988 Fournier estrellas stickers , 1985 Prism Jewel stickers , anything Jesse Owens .
I haven't had time to scan much the last couple of weeks, so these were picked up in September but not scanned until October
hey Kid4hof03,
Pretty cool on your unopened material...
Yep Unitas signed after the fact. It is a passing the torch card. It was signed after the fact not at release. Thought they looked cool so I got them.
Technically purchased in Sept. but just arrived. Since I can't seem to find/afford the last 9 cards in my set, I'll just keep upgrading at the margins...
3 more Bobby Orr cards - 1 regular issue and the other 2 are newer cards that I simply thought would fit nicely in my Orr collection.
hey dtmodel,
Pretty cool...
I'm pretty excited that I was able to add this ticket stub to my ticket collection. This play goes down as NFL's # 1 play in NFL history "Immaculate Reception." I was very fortunate to win this ticket stub a few weeks ago and now it has arrived at PSA for grading.

hey BPorter26,
Now That's Pretty Cool...
That's a huge pickup @BPorter26 Congratulations!
Another Killebrew collector had this in his set for a while and it appears he is selling the set off. I have wanted it for an upgrade to my PSA 2, and finally got it. Highest graded, total graded 3!
Pretty stoked to get this card back from PSA last Friday.
The Topps PLL rainbow parallels are #/5 cards. However, two single cards (Trevor Baptiste, card #41 & Blaze Riorden, card #42) have popped up as #/6. There has been no statement/documentation from Topps about these cards. I have yet to see any other examples of rainbow Baptiste or Riorden cards to compare, so I'm not sure what the story may be. Anyway, I received the Riorden today as part of a trade.
That’s awesome Joe, congrats!

Thanks! I never figured it would become available.
Ripped a couple packs last night, newly discovered (since I acquired the pack years ago) Montana RC...
Mama Mia Montana!!!
Beautiful!

The Great One. Beautiful additions!
I really love that Champs card.

End of the month Sept purchase but received this month so I'll just add it here.
Spotted the listing rather late at night (for me anyway). 14 albums for $9.99 + $6.25 shipping. Pictures of just the covers and no describing the condition of the records other than what you see is what you get. Put it on my watch list and went to bed. Woke up to 30% off offer so bought them. Worst case was could have been trashed but album covers looked fairly decent so would have cheap artwork if nothing else.
Here is the lot (Paul McCartney was a freebie thrown in without a cover).
Now the boring part.
Joan Rivers - What Becomes A Semi-Legend Most? (NM)
Canterbury Choir – Christmas Carols (VG+)
Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr. – I Hope We Get To Love In Time (VG+ Nice sound)
Kenny Rogers - Daytime Friends (VG+)
Strawbs - Bursting At The Seams (VG+. Light pops and clicks here and there)
Strawbs - Heroes And Heroine (Strong VG Clicky at start of sides then cleans up to light clicks mostly in quiet sections/Slight marble appearance in vinyl)
The Charlie Daniels Band – Million Mile Reflections (VG+ might bump a grade with proper cleaning/light factory blemishes not affecting play)
The Charlie Daniels Band – Full Moon (VG. Light scuffs/scratches. Light crackle but very listenable)
Tom T Hall - Greatest Hits Vol. 2 (STRONG VG. Under bright light visible factory pressing defects that you can hear slightly in quiet sections)
Colin Davis - Beethoven Symphony No 7 (Strong VG should bump a grade with proper cleaning. Just a bit clicky)
The Who - Who's Next (VG. Pops/clicks but listenable. All Disc Pressing)
Supertramp - Crime Of The Century (G+. Scuffs/scratches)
Oldies But Goodies - Vol 14 (G+ Came covered in dirt. Side 2 had paint splatter. Did manage to remove. Cleaned multiple times and now plays G+ (clicks) to VG (light crackle/clicks mostly in quiet sections)
Here is how this one looked on both sides.
Paint splatter.
Was thinking about chucking it in the trash but thought I would attempt to remove the paint and it came out very well.
The freebie can't find an exact match on Discogs with side 1Matrix/Runout being nothing that's currently listed on there.
Paul McCartney & Wings – Band On The Run (STRONG VG. Needs proper cleaning. Plays well)
(Matrix/Runout Side 1: SO 1-3415 SF 11 Wly M1 MASTERED BY CAPITOL O)
(Matrix/Runout Side 2: SO 2-3415 F 11 2 M1 MASTERED AT CAPITOL Wly O)
And a couple oddities.
Strawbs - Ghosts (STRONG VG/Visually VG+ and plays VG+ in all places but quiet sections. Matrix not listed on Discogs/Vinyl has a marble appearance)
(Matrix/Runout Side 1: 1T A&M SP (Scratched Out 4511) 4749 T-1 V5)
(Matrix/Runout Side 2: T1 A&M SP (Scratched Out 4512) 4750 T-1 V5)
The marble appearance under bright led light shows as a brown and black marble/swirl appearance. Under black light it really shows. Very hard to get a good picture but you can get the idea of what it is.
The Strawbs - Heroes And Heroine also has this but to a lesser degree being in just a couple spots.
I'm sure it's just a manufacturing issue with the color pellets that are added to get the black color. Similar to the translucent releases where they appear black until you hold them up to a light source where the argument/discussion is that these occur due to the color pellets and are nothing special or they might be or they sound like garbage or they sound really good or their worthless or worth more.
Example of one in my collection being black until you hold it up to a light source.
I don't get into the arguments on that stuff. I have 59 albums like that in my collection. Most I purchased new. I would love to find more copies of what I have and see if any all black versions exist but I live in the woods of Maine and no record stores anywhere near me.
The Strawbs album/s is/are something different as they are solid (can't see through them). Probably worthless (other than the cool music) but haven't seen this before in any of my old albums.
Very pleased with this purchase as condition overall was great and all are playable with some being really nice.

1957 New York Yankees Picture Pack - Mickey Mantle
Elaborating, this is a very tough set to find and this is actually my second copy of the set. About three years ago, I submitted mine and it was the first graded. Since then, PSA has changed its designation 3 times. Regardless, these 8x10s are reliably from the 1955-1957 era and feature my absolute favorite pose of Mickey, which has been featured on innumerable items over the years, at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn in the road grays. When I sold mine (PSA VG 3) for a crazy sum, I knew there was a possibility I’d not find another, especially at a price I could afford, ever again. In the last two years, two have shown up and I lost out on both (one was signed) at very high prices where I was out with days to go. So I’m still fairly surprised I won these and Im really, really happy to have a Mantle back in the fold.
