and here's mine. i didn't understand this line at all. i scrolled to find Jordan and when i saw him as a dog against Morikawa, i jumped on it. he should be favored in this matchup, imo. he has been very solid at Pebble the past decade or so, and this is Morikawa's first appearance. and Collin missed the cut last week.

it's as if someone knows something beyond the obvious, but when i break it down i can't figure out what it is. so i'm just gonna go with what i feel.

Only thing of concern for me with Speith is his Sunday play. It stays with me from the past year or so. On that day he seems to lack the closing punch while being right there to do so. But will wish nothing but positive vibes your way with your play.

Ok fellas I'm looking for a wager, what looks good? Anything standing out for top 5? Top 10?

I'm never one to tell anyone how/what to bet. Would not want to have my luck ☠️ to befall onto anyone else. However I can post who I will be playing.
Golf this week was a tough play. So many top players involved. 80 in field and no cut. Cuts down on the top 20 odds. Harder to flesh out value. And with so many aces in the field who will be heard from thought to single one out, especially that retains a value. With all that my play is thus:top 10 Aberg and top 20 Theegala. Don't say I didn't warn you. :)

Any gambler worth his salt knows very well that when your asking for gambling advice there is no sure thing and it's 100% on you for taking any advice and wagering on it lol

I was kinda confused as to why I heard crickets after my post, I was thinking people knew me better than to cry about a potential lost wager from asking a public forum for advice lol

    Thanks for the response

Again my disclaimer I am no longer a bettor of games. However if I was, I’d look at Gonzaga LMU game tonite Zags -16 at home I wouldn’t put any real money on it. But the zags are not that good. They will be bigger than LMU but one again the Zags aren’t playing Zag basketball.
It’s 8 pm west coast time game on some ESPN Chanel

I figured the zags coulee loose this game outright. And I see -16. Do your diligence if you decide on it

    OK
That was a bad take on the state of GU basketball. One of the best games they played this year. And LMU looked like a high school team. Sorry for the tip

i don't know what the rules are where you placed your bet, but if it's deemed official with 54 completed, i hope they're unable to get that last round in so you get paid. you were spot-on with Theegala and Aberg this week.

me, not so much. Jordan is down 4 going into the 4th and i don't have much faith that he can suck Morikawa up. he's been languishing this tournament. losing two-fiddy is never fun, but what bothers me most is watching a line go hard against you and you don't know why. i hate having the feeling that big sharks know something i don't. sure enough, when i placed my bet thinking that Jordan should be favored, the line moved hard against me. and right on cue, Morikawa took a lead and hasn't relinquished it the entire way.

Morikawa is lethal from about 150 & in with his irons, and Pebble -- along with Spyglass Hill -- are two of the shorter courses on tour. so solid iron play is paramount. but the thing is, Jordan isn't exactly lacking in that category, and that's why he has a stellar record in this tournament -- 2 top 10s in the past 5 years, and he won it in 2017. he plays it every year and prior to this no-cut signature event he had made the cut 11 times in his last 11 attempts. conversely, as i said up above, this was Morikawa's first time to ever play this tournament. no familiarity whatsoever outside of him being a Cali guy.

and it's not as if Jordan was coming into the tournament in poor form. it's only his second tournament of the year, but he came in 3rd in his first. meanwhile, it's not as if Morikawa rolled into town on a heater, as he missed the cut last week.

so overall, i don't get it. again, it's not the money that's sticking in my craw or the fact that there are bettors who thought Morikawa would win this matchup -- because he is a stud, after all, and thus it's entirely possible -- but it's the money flow that i have a difficult time understanding and accepting. i saw the line open in the -132 range for Morikawa and it closed at -155. someone or someones hit it very hard. at that moment, before a single shot was ever hit, i said to myself, "i'm screwed." hey at least i was right about that. 😅

forgive me, as i'm basically trying to talk myself through this via my fingers. 😆

again, great picks this week homie. hope it ends after 3 rounds.

But if it is called after 54 it will be to my advantage. Sorry you got derailed with your bet. It's a long season so regroup and hit em next time. 2 months till Augusta, yeah.⛳

smell that stench? yeah those are my trash bets. so feel free to utilize this info and immediately take the Niners if you so desire.

i can't take Purdy over Mahomes. i just can't do it. PM thrives in situations like this. plus the KC D, which has been the lynchpin all season long, made me even more of a believer against the Ravens.

meanwhile, San Francisco has basically lost their last two games and are somehow playing in the Super Bowl. they've been treading on thin ice and i think they finally fall through against a QB who knows how to put them away.

best of luck with your SB bets fellas. if the opposite of what i think happens, as has been the case often here lately, then i've already trained my brain into thinking that i went to the World Series of Poker, bought in to a 1k tourney, picked up pocket rockets on the bubble, and got them cracked. 😅

What has started to slowly creep into my slight doubt about KC winning is the following. SF has not been a media darling like the KC group. Witness all the commercials,Swift etc. Have hardly seen anything about them other than the training facility flap. Been almost completely devoid of anything newsy. Could be they like it this way.
However, I tend to think this could almost be interpreted by the Niners as a diss. And we know that being dissed can be/is a highly motivating emotion. I wonder if this aspect will provide some added emotion to their existing motivation to win.

80% of the bettors are all over KC, it's not a bad play by any means but SF is a well capable team, especially if they play up to their talent

I've already posted this one, made at the beginning of the season.
    .

    .
I've pondered for 2 weeks what additional bets to make. Hedge? Pile more money on a team that I don't believe should be getting points? Parlay or prop? I had decided I was going to just stand pat and enjoy the game. Then I received a $30 free bet from Caesars, so with nothing to lose, decided to tease the Chiefs and the under, getting 6 additional points on both.
    .

    .
I then added one small bet for my pick for MVP.
    .

I was heated after the game, I thought this "Scorigami" nonsense applied to the Super Bowl history NOT NFL History, shame on me for misreading it but this is complete BS, it was under Novelty bets and every other bet applied to the Super Bowl, thought I hit for $420 but didn't

I never specifically bet the game itself, I threw a $100 at 5 different $20 prop bets, O Lineman to score a TD, couple first TD bets ect..and got blanked.

But hit for $780 at the casino earlier and had no idea but I hit for $300 on a Work Super Bowl Square final score that I didn't even bother looking at when I got the sheet, a co worker called and congratulated me that's how I found out lol

Good day all around and a nice way to finish off the NFL season

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,213 ✭✭✭✭✭

During the course of the season when KC was struggling I placed 4 small wagers for them to win the SB…. odds ranged from +700 to
    +950. $120 to return $1070
Glad SF was the favorite because I got pissed and didn’t hedge those bets. If KC was favored like they should have been I would have hedged and won about half that.
Can’t wait to get my futures bet in next year for the 3peat.

lots of people won money yesterday and over the course of the season...........love to read it. the sun even shined on galaxy's azz yesterday.

but as the first half of that game was putting me to sleep, i decided to turn it to golf for a few. the Waste Management was a waste this year. the weather sucked and it shoved the tournament into the Super Bowl. it didn't end until the first half was almost over, and that's the last thing the PGA Tour wanted. on top of that, the fans were completely out of control this year. more so than any other year. so unruly, in fact, that they closed the gates on Saturday AND they put a halt to beer sales, which is unprecedented. there were fights between spectators, altercations between spectators and golfers, mudslides, urinating in public, one fan stripped down and jumped into the bunker on #16, on and on. Ben An called it a total shitshow on every hole. try any of that at Augusta National and your life would be turned upside down before you could blink. amendments will be made moving forward, i guarantee you.

and speaking of golf, i don't want this to get lost in the shuffle: @BLUEJAYWAY has been white hot with his wagers lately. he hit a top 10 (Aberg) and a top 20 (Theegala) a couple of weeks ago, took a week off, then yesterday he hit a top 10 (Scheffler), a top 20 (Theegala), and narrowly missed out on another top 20 (Bezuidenhout). my friend your homework assignment is due each Wednesday by 5 pm sharp..........chop chop 😅

sounds good homie, and great work.

btw i'm about to nunchuck my favorite player..................Jordan came in 3rd in his first tourney of the year, then he lost to Morikawa in the next one when i bet on him, then he came in 6th this past weekend. zigging when i zag, zagging when i zig.

i have a vision for the Masters. but it's contingent on me being comfortably in the black come April, which i am far from at the moment. if i have the firepower, i'm gonna unload a clip on Jordan to place top 20 at Augusta. it's partly homer, but it's also a burgeoning feeling that's growing inside of me. i like his form thus far, ANGC has always been his playpen, and it just feels like it's time for him to make some serious noise this year.

Draft Kings sent me a deposit match bonus the other day so since I love free $100 bets I deposited a $100

I figured I'd be cute and do easy favorite bet on the bonus, win and cash out but ofcourse the "Easy Favorite" lost because the -1600 Indiana State team decided to get smashed.

I got pissed and was was like screw this I'm just going to throw away this $100 on something stupid like European Tennis in which I know nothing about

Well the ridiculous bet hit so I stabbed Draft Kings for $225 on their match bonus. And yes out of pure spite I withdrew all my money immediately since I don't want to think I'm a Tennis handicapper and do something stupid lol

no doubt. JT decided to revert back to last year's form because we dropped some coin on him, Jordan got Dairy Queened, Will showed great form again after his injury (which i was thrilled to see), and Hideki went bananas out of nowhere and came from 6 back on Sunday to take it down

it's gonna be a great season. even greater if we can make bank!

blue you have a really good shot at sweeping tomorrow........best of luck chief

I need Mav to go low tomorrow and I might backdoor it

so, the T-Wolves had the 2nd best record in the NBA going into last night and they allowed Milwaukee -- a team that was under .500 on the road and 3-7 in their last 10 games -- to outscore them by 23 points in the 3rd quarter. then of course Minny decides to cut a 4th quarter deficit from 17 to 3 just to f with me.......then they wilted and blew my bet up 🔥. naturally I turn right around and bet on them again tonight, thinking surely that pop tarts won't happen again against an even lesser team.

the good news from last weekend was that a festivus miracle took place and i won a golf bet. the bad news is that it offset a terrible NBA wager i made. like, two NY Knicks starters not playing and i didn't realize it because i failed to conduct my due diligence terrible. and the worst part was that i still very nearly won that one (lost by a bucket). it was essentially the gambling Gods teasing my teaser while saying, "this is what you get." and i concur 💯%

edit: i'm contemplating betting on myself this week with a little parlay action

    gets divorced +100
marries a rich old widow +200
    arrested for elder fraud +300
fakes his own death but is immediately caught when he uses an app to gamble +100000

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
