I'm posting a screen shot because it's hard to believe but my buddy put $500 on the Jets -5 and went to bed after Rodgers got hurt lol

I was wondering after Rodgers went down how many dumped alot of $$ straight up on Buffalo.

I bet a lot of guys that had Jets money going probably crapped their pants and put bigger money on the Jill's to cover their action.

I guess this is another example of why we watch the games. You just never know when it's going to be one of those games that throws you for multiple loops. Rodgers out three minutes into the game. Then you assume it's the Bills game for the taking, easy peasy. Then Allen coughs up the ball four times. Overtime. Bills get first crack at it. No go. Jets only need a field goal, but end up winning by six because of a TD return. Mixed within that are all sorts of what ifs and what abouts.

  • BLUEJAYWAYBLUEJAYWAY Posts: 9,109 ✭✭✭✭✭

Jets win the battle(game), but may have lost the war(playoffs) without Rodgers.

I like the broncos over Washington.
    The line is Denver -3.5
Think I will play the spread if it goes to -3 and if not bet the moneyline

hey bud, i know you said you were going to hop on the Pack as well, so i wanted to inform you (in case you weren't aware) that they're dealing with some key injuries and the line is on the move. Aaron Jones, Christian Watson et al could miss the game, and as a result it has flipped from GB -1 to ATL -1

i have no choice but to stand pat, but maybe one of these damn days i'll hold my water and stick bets in toward the end of the week when the picture is a little clearer

I don't bet on NFL games but if I did, I would bet big against the Vikings tonight. They are going to get crushed.

    Enjoy your collection!

Thanks brother I saw that and hit the pause button.

Sucks you put that in but they could pull it off

Check out the Pats thread, apparently our entire O Line is questionable so they might be a cupcake to bet against?

Erik I just bet on the Eagles so that means your Vikes will probably pull it off.

    Hope your good bud 🍻

You guys know I like to pop up in this thread occasionally even though I never have any skin in the games. Lol

I've heard this being discussed a lot this week locally, tied into the actual game, but also betting. The o/u on the Jets Cowboys is 38.5. Both of these teams have potentially great defenses. Jets lost Rodgers. So I heard people automatically taking the under. But that number seems awfully low. The Cowboys have a good offense. But Cooks might be limited. Add into this ...Jets kicker Zuerlein is out. They signed a replacement, but this could have them going for it at some weird field locations, particularly if down. Will this lead to more points?

I'll see my way out... 🏈🤣

Not sure WTH I was thinking yesterday playing around with all these Point spreads, I liked the games but figured I'd get smart and tinker with adjusted lines and deservedly so I got smashed, it's hard enough to pick that many ML forget about point spreads- adjusted or not.

I would have been furious if Colorado lost last night but they made my ML parlays so it ended up being ok

Aaaaaand Ofcourse we have the rear end froster

I liked the Jags and it just didn't happen, this wouldn't be the Jimmy the Greek special thread without the big parlay that missed 1 game

I know Dallas hasn't won yet but we know they probably will

Green Bay scored a touch to go up 12 early in the 4th, then they proceeded to gain 7 yards on offense the rest of the game, they gave up 3 consecutive scoring drives on defense, and they lost by a point to light my parlay on fire

no better feeling in the world than losing a wager because a team blew chunks

I have yet to win a penny on the NFL since the season started, so you're welcome Pats fans

Made about $50 total so I'm up.about $250 through tonight but would have hit another $200 had the Jags not fallen right on their face and threw up all over themselves.

I'm Enjoying a legit stress free game tonight, no more action until maybe Thursday but probably gonna wait till Saturday.

I am going to bet pretty much every week.but a lot less games, last year I bet way too much and it wasn't a profitable adventure.

i simulated this parlay 10,000 times, and it hit 9,999 of those

the only time it didn't was when the entire 49ers, Chiefs and Cowboys rosters contracted the mumps

Hit three parlays this week and missed a few when Evans didn't get to 70+ yards. The $5k was my biggest parlay win. Definitely lucked out with almost all the WRs having big weeks, normally one of them has on off week or gets injured during a game and blows up all my parlays.

Am going with USC money line into 2or3 pro games on a few sheets. Am a bit perplexed this week on the over under lines due to the poor matchups.

Seriously though, my college football interest is limited. I will usually toss 1-3 college games money line with a +25 or more favorite line in with my 2 top NFL picks. Put the teams in a 4-5 game parlay. I know those money line favorites by themselves don't translate to a large profit, but tied in with that small profit rolling over to the pro picks pumps up the payoff, even if only slightly. Just trying to get as much of an edge as possible. And percentage wise those +25 point money line favorites usually perform. Just one angle. Maybe just as good as any other one.

we never win on foreign soil. the majority of the players on team USA hadn't played a real tournament in a month; we were not prepared. i'm not surprised we're losing, but i'm surprised we're getting pasted. Scheffler & Koepka looked like 18 handicappers out there this morning. 9 and 7!

the only reason I didn't bet more is because the NFL was doing its usual number on me and i had to scale back. lol
