I’m still drinking coffee, and now that I’m done picking my jaw up off the floor after seeing @EastonCollection ’s 1796 …
A humble newp, but a type that I’ve always liked yet couldn’t find attractively toned until now. In a 6+ holder thanks to the excellent luster in hand. Happy Saturday all!

Happy Saturday everyone! Since this coming week is Thanksgiving, I am thankful for this seated dollar in collection.
Damn!
I come here to show off my new seated dollar and this is the first coin I see. How deflating (LMAO)! Like watching a triple dip of ice cream fall out of your sugar cone onto the ground. I might as well go back to watching my crummy football team lose again.

I may go for a 40's set. Someone posted their XF/AU 1840's set here long ago. It was impressive and planted the idea in my head. Mine will be quite different, though, with two EF40's and a G6 so far. The G6 is the best coin for the grade of the three.
That's truly a gorgeous coin, @Inspired70. Thanks. I had a really good laugh posting this!

I love your seated dollars. That's a great pair of 1842's! In my humble opinion all seated dollars are a treasure!

It's the same coin. I don't know what it's going to look like. Gerry says his photos are accurate. I suspect the TV is closer to the look in hand. I love the originality of this coin, though, compared to the PCGS coins I saw on Coin Facts after the purchase.
I feel the same way about seated dollars. Though I focus on SL halves, I cannot resist grabbing one of these awesome coins every now and then.
There are some really nice coins in this thread. @Inspired70 and @CircCam, Wow! Stunning coins! @Catbert likely spilled his coffee looking at those two gems.
Yet another Red Eye Saturday. Today, the Early Walker quest continues with this GC auction pickup from last Sunday:
Rock solid for the grade & went for a good price relative to the pg & difficulty obtaining one of these at this level. Remaining are these 3: that nasty 21-S, 28-S & 23-S. The latter? I have a commitment to buy a really nice CAC one @ FUN (& @ a decent price point too)! In reality, then, there’s two. But it will take some more time due to that 21-S - it’s a budget buster!
Have the best day everyone; I’m still feasting on the turkey leftovers!
AND now for something completely different - I had too much coffee yesterday and high on caffeine - so I couldnt find any coins that I liked so I got these - ( sorry this thread is coffee with coins not paper - so I apologize in advance - FYI- I did get them at a coin show!
Pretty cool but not coins -
A leisurely Saturday morning, going over some of the coins within your collection.
This likely appeals to nostalgia and the desire for simplicity. Classic coins can evoke fond memories of a time when money felt more personal and less overwhelming, offering basic functionality without the distractions of modern "tap here" credit cards. It’s also an affordable way to own a piece of contemporary history, and offers a unique charm that stands out in a sea of modernized hobbies and distractions.
Just my take as a reflect on this satisfying pasttime.

Now that I have the 1842 seated Liberty dollar in-hand, I agree with Gerry Fortin that his photos of this coin were more accurate to the coin in-hand than the Trueviews.
Posted this li’l beauty last week in the ongoing NEWP thread, and I thought it worth another viewing on a cold Saturday morning with my Dunkin’….. I’m quite enamored with it.
She’s going into the SDB for a while come Monday.
Have a great and safe weekend with friends and family everyone!

I couldn’t resist this one - an absolute shimmering beauty. This date is common, essentially a bullion coin. Still interesting; I think it’s a safe bet it was part of a Swiss bank hoard back in the day!
Here's one I found from Northeast Numismatics about a year ago, and welcomed her in to the fold. I need to redo the images to get the color right, as she's a quite attractive AU in hand. Love the reverse below and around the left wing. She has a P55cac dinner jacket if that matters to anyone.

She's a beauty @pursuitofliberty! Love the consistent toning across obverse and reverse. Looks cleaner than an AU.
I thought I had posted the obverse. My mistake. Here she is.

Good Morning,
Ten dollars worth of fun—from a new Loomis roll of mixed Philadelphia 2022s and 2023s—found three in one roll of the twenty rolls.

This coffee mug is available on Amazon - I got to get one-
A recent acquisition (they are getting far and few lately) : So I am happy for now.
Called off at work this morning due to low census! I've been keeping this on my desk lately for ease of admiration.
