got my 4 coin set, USM09332xxx.
The question is, keep it or flip it? Seems like such a fast sellout that flipping is a good money maker to fund my annual gold proof buffalo purchase.

Interesting, with a product limit of 8200, 4500, 1600, 2700, 8000, that is only 25,000 different "single" sales of AGEs. In hindsight, I would have been faster to order one of each on one order number instead of three individual orders.
I am so pissed at myself. I ordered separately since coinflip pay $100 more as singles. I put in the wrong security code on 3 before I realized I had a problem. I did get the quarter ounce. I was all prepared to hit the PayPal button and all would have been fine if I GOT A PAYPAL BUTTON. I had to think quick and it is very obvious to me that is not my strong suit.
Got confirmation on
1oz 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz
But card only pinged for 1/4 and 1/10
Figured it wasn’t worth trying for 4 coin set.
Had wife trying for 1/2 oz on a different computer had in bag but kept getting bounced. Never made it.

Good question. I have a few holes in my MS70 FS Buffalo Registry set.... I wonder if anyone would trade me two coins for one 4 coin set

It surprises me too as I can't see what else was worth ordering during that time. But that is the difference between my two order numbers.

My three order numbers are all even... does anyone have an order number ending in an odd number?

Retailers release limited items as loss leaders for this precise reason. Once somebody is in the store, or on the website, they are more likely to browse and purchase other items.

yes mine ends in 3.
i had 4 coin in cart but not a flipper and although likely ended up costing me money, i know me and once received I'd end up keeping it, so removed from cart....besides need to save for the what 20 different type ASE yet to be released..
That was rather fun. Bought the 4 coin set and 1/4 oz to sell (thx coinflip!), and the 1/2 oz and 1/10 to keep. After I sell the first two, the latter two will be well under spot, so I'm a happy camper.

Surprised you would not keep the 1/4. vs the 1/10
I debated. I want the two-coin set coming this summer (gold type 1 and 2). If I can't get it, I'll try to make my own set using the 1/10 I just purchased.

keep in mind the t1/t2 set is more than likely a unique proof [enhanced/reverse] finish, so the t1 1/10 that went on sale is unique from those

I know it, but if I miss out, I'll try to get a 1/10 oz type 2 proof as a consolation prize.

righton - just wanted 2 make sure u knew - I was under a different impression until earlier this week 👍
I'm a little worried. I ordered the 4 coin set. I got the email stating "order received". My card has not been pinged yet. When I go to mint site "order history", it shows I have the set on order, and is processing. When I touch the order number to see what I ordered at that price, it takes a few seconds, then goes back to all my orders, and doesn't show what I ordered.

no worries, same thing I experienced, then 30-60 min later I got a confirmation email

Mine does the same thing when I click on the order number. My credit card shows it as a pending charge but no confirmation email yet. Hopefully I get it!
So the real question is going to be how quickly they actually start shipping these out.... if it is anything like the ASE earlier this year it is going to be a wait....
First time poster, long time lurker. The ASE ERP led me to this forum, but I've been collecting silver/gold for years. Either way, got a four coin set and 1/10. Just waiting for confirmation!

That is what happens when you still have not received a confirmation email. I've noticed that after you receive a confirmation email, a page will load when you click on the order number.

Welcome to the coin forum......that’s a first post you’ll remember. 😃
I have confirmation on my four piece set, which I did first, but not the three fractionals which were all ordered individually.
Numismatist. 50 year member ANA. Winner of four ANA Heath Literary Awards; three Wayte and Olga Raymond Literary Awards; Numismatist of the Year Award 2009, and Lifetime Achievement Award 2020. Winner numerous NLG Literary Awards.
I received confirmation emails on my mixed and matched totally random purchases for the proof AGE’s.
The half ounce Gold has been a favorite of mine in many differing styles and Mint releases.

Not true. I have not been able to access individual items in my order history for well over a year even after receiving order confirmation. In fact, every item in my order history still shows "processing". And, that doesn't change when I click on any of the orders.

It is a challenge to be a successful flipper and a serious collector at the same time.

4 coin set, 12:03
I had a meeting at 12:00, and the other guy emailed and said he would be five mins late. And BOOM!
Perfect, he probably had to get his order in before the meeting too!
You da Man, Robert!!!!!
edited to add: Do you consider modern Mint gold, clean gold? You know, Clean New Gold.....CNG.
now that the mint is screwing up CC numbers, do you resell once you have a ship notice or get a contingency deal right away?
"confirmed order" just does not seem to bear as much weight as it once did.
I set a contingency deal and screenshot everything in case they cancel the order. Until it’s shipped anything can change IMO.
I prefer not to make a deal until product is in hand.
There is a pretty consistent price curve on hot mint releases. In my experience, peak price is usually about 3 weeks out.
Also, finally got my confirmation email at 1:42 vs 12:04 order acknowledgement email.

That's not the point. Mint issues of 8000 that don't sell out in 30 minutes have a horrible track record.
The 4 coin set also had 8200.

I really hope this is the last of these gold eagles with the type one reverse, and nothing tricky happens magically later this year.
I think there are 137 total proofs and 168 MS + SP Burnished eagles, or 305 different gold coins in that complete bullion set from 1986,
