Touchdown Panthers, Yes! I mean, no! I picked the Lions to win. Yes and no!

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

It was first and goal Panthers and I get up to get something from the car and I come back and the Lions have the ball?

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

He was wide open on the crossing route. Wide open!

    Wide open!

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Well, the Panthers lead 7-0 to start the second half, it should be 14-0 if it wasn't for that pick Walker threw in the endzone. It's ok though, I understand our quarterback came from the XFL.

Yep, my cats are up 17-0 on the Lions in the 4th quarter.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Yep, my cats had to take care of the Lions today. It was a 20-0 shutout. We hated to have to embarrass the Lions that way, but that's life in the NFL. Let's go, we have some celebrating to do.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

    The Falcons today....

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,080 ✭✭✭✭✭

I hate trying to pick these games. The Panthers don't have McCaffrey or Bridewater so they'll lose, right?
Well not so fast. The idiot Lions suck so bad they can't even score!!!!
This life as a part time message board prognosticator is starting to get to me. :'(

Yes, and the Saints lose Drew Brees, so maybe Matt Ryan and Julio Jones can light it up today and outlast the Saints. Nope. Pure trash.

On 4th and 1 with 3:00 to go in the game, the Packers call a pass play. Unbelievable.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Packers down by 3, driving down the field with 1:10 to go in the game.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Packers get a field goal and tie it up with 7 seconds to go in the game, we're going into over time.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Colts win in overtime 34-31 over the Packers. My picks today are garbage. Garbage I say!

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,080 ✭✭✭✭✭

Well the Raiders are a tough team to beat.
Chiefs had a lousy pass rush game yesterday, Carr picked them apart with so much time to throw.
Hope the Raiders don't make the playoffs, KC could end up playing them again for the AFC championship if they do.

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,080 ✭✭✭✭✭

And by the way, anyone thinking there's a better tight end in the game than Travis Kelce is wrong.
Always gets wide open when Chiefs need a big play, like the game winning catch against the Raiders.
Never missed time with injuries, Kittles is younger and played a lot fewer seasons and is already injured.
One more big game and he's already at 1,000 yards, again!
The tight end for the Raiders may in the future be able to challenge Kelce for top spot, that guy could be a monster.

Ravens-Steelers postponed until Sunday because of Covid in the Ravens facility.

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody! I'm sitting here eating turkey, and getting ready to watch the Texans vs Lions. I picked the Texans to win.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

    No! The Lions just scored!

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Yes, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo are getting along well in the booth today, but you have to remember, Jim wants Tony's money, so I know there is some secret bitterness in that booth today.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Pick six JJ Watt, but the extra point is no good. The Lions lead 7-6.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Lions have turn the ball over twice in the first quarter, the Texans score again. The Texans lead 13-7.

  • BillJonesBillJones Posts: 33,984 ✭✭✭✭✭

It has to be hard for the few Lions fans that are left. They just fumbled again. These Lions are giving new meaning to the terms inept and incompetent.

The score is now 20-14 Texans lead. It looks like we might just have a good ol' fashioned shoot-out developing here.

  • BillJonesBillJones Posts: 33,984 ✭✭✭✭✭

Yes, it is a reasonably interesting game, but you can see why these guy have losing records.

Yeah, and it looks like the Lions are starting to stink it up, that last Lions possession before the half was garbage.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Texans are now leading 26-17. I picked the Texans to win.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Lions offense in the 3rd quarter....

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Touchdown Texans, they now lead 34-17 in the 4th quarter. This one is over. The Lions stink, they won't be able to make a comeback. They stink too much to make a comeback!

    Lions - 25

Curse thee ye olde Cowboys, for I needeth Washington to win for ye olde picketh contest! Curse thee!

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Washington is leading the Cowboys 20-16 at the start of the 4th. Two stinky teams. Great game.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭
    edited November 26, 2020 4:17PM

Oh, oh! The Cowboys just tried a fake punt on 4th down from their own 23 yard line, and it had no chance. No chance! Bonehead call! Now the Cowboys are screwed, royally!

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

And bam, because of that bonehead fake punt, Washington got the ball back and just scored. Washington leads 27-16.

Washington is milking the clock, Dallas can do nothing on offense. It's not looking good for Dallas.

Riverboat Ron Rivera is gambling and going for it on 4th and 1 and...... 1st down Washington.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Washington just scored, it's over.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Andy Dalton just had a pass deflected, and it was intercepted and taken back for a Washington TD.

The Cowboys were dead; now they are cremated.

Now the Washington No Names are scattering the ashes. As an Eagles’ fan, you have to enjoy this. If the Eagles could show this kind of effort ...

I'm rooting for Alex Smith and the Washington professional football club to win their division.
They have as good a chance as anyone!

Cowboys are a mess. Huge injury issues, but also many questionable coaching decisions in all three phases. Even though he is taking some heat, if I had to guess I'd say the future is still bright for OC Kellen Moore. Maybe not with this team however.

I couldn’t believe it the Dallas coach three dice twice on fake punts inside his own 30 yard line. The second time was truly pathetic. Jerry Jones must have been seething.
