Jeremy Fritsch needs to hand out golden tickets..... Maybe hide them in candy bars..... for a tour of his warehouse.
I know your post was in jest, but Fritsch used to have a museum in Cooperstown, I want to say approximately 1990. It was AWESOME. I was about 12-13 years old at the time, and huge into cards. It was basically heaven with all of his old cards and the backstory behind how rare they are, and how he secured them. You even got an 8 card set of his top cards and the story behind them (I still have mine, I will try to find and post a pic). I lived about an hour away from Cooperstown, and went during a HOF induction weekend. I could not wait to get back to this museum - it was located a few blocks away from the HOF, on a side street, one block off of Main St. The next time I was in Cooperstown, the first thing I did was go back to the Fritsch museum. It was closed and I was devastated. Every time I would go to Cooperstown following that, I would walk by on the miracle chance they reopened. They never did. Would you believe every time I am in Cooperstown (1-2 times per year), I walk by the building for the childhood memory and to see what is in there now?
Oldest cases found.
Remember Rosen.
The 1952 Find was a guy opening a case I think? Also he found 1000 cases of 1954,1955 bowman Topps and also cases of 1959 Fleer 6 Card. Also a case of 1960 Leaf, 1960 BB Racks. Just to name a few.

I'm expecting some fireworks! Remember, these are GROUPS of rich people fighting for this one.
This could get good.....
love the individual timer for each lot
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
So did end at just over 1.4M?

with juice is around $1.7M. I know it wouldn't go much higher since everyone knows Fritsch has a few more cases and worth to wait.
Only thing is knowing Fritsch. He will want 2mil for the next one no matter how many he owns.
Pretty strong price
Almost $1.8 million. I was the underbidder... on the opened case. Would have been cool to have.
I thought it would go for more than that price with all the crazy money that's been thrown around on sports cards this year.
"Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick" as my Dad would say.
Hard to imagine one LeBron card going for more than this entire case. smh

With all the build up, kind of a let down until you realize someone just spent $1.8M on the darn thing.
What's the oldest sealed case ever discovered?

The 1952 Topps was a high number wax case. The 1954 and 1955 Bowman and Topps were
wax boxes not cases. Many were water damaged.
The 1986 Fleer Bsk ball case was very anti-climatic once everyone found about
the possibility of more cases.
Looks like Blowout Cards is reporting they had a hand in helping to win this 86 Fleer Case auction for a unnamed buyer.

I can't find the article right now but I read somewhere that this was the only case Fritsch had.
Of course that's what they will say...... until the next one appears and they call it an unexpected find in the depths of their famous Fritsch Vault.
Maybe a 3-4 million dollar offer for another case would shake a case out of the tree.
I thought it was only several hundred boxes from the 50's, and I agree, most were water damaged and insect infested.
