Got this from a DLRC auction recently. This isn't my series, and I didn't need this for any of the sets I'm working on, but I've never seen one like it before and had to have it. PCGS MS66FB — Photo credit is DLRC; eventually I'll send to PCGS for a TrueView.
Still have this one, and I’ve still never seen one quite like it! I did indeed send it for a TV which better (but not fully) captures the deep royal blue color it has in-hand under light.

I'd label it the crescent moon. Very nice

Lately I've been looking for proof Mercs that are original, attractive, and within my budget. (And that apparently makes for a pretty narrow Venn diagram). But this 1942 I picked up a month ago fits the bill.
Also, @robec, you have some truly beautiful dimes! Count me as envious.
This gotten at European auction last year. Scintillating lustre in hand. Poor iPhone pictures as there are minor toning streaks that appear as scratches - they are not. I looked under a variety of lights and angulation and can not find hairlines.

Love that Milled British (1830-1960) Well, just Love coins, period.
I own 5 or 6 Mercury dimes. Very affordable set to put together for relatively little money, in comparison to most other coin series. Anyway, all mine are blast white like this one.
I've always liked Mercury dimes and collected them semi-enthusiastically until I switched my collecting dollars to commemoratives. But as my commemorative buying has tapered due to approaching completion, I recently acquired a new dime. It's graded MS65 FB.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Good old revived thread! Here’s a CAC goldie:

I don’t own any but I can’t think Mercury Dime without thinking how much DLH paid for this one
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

Some absolute stunners in this thread.
Another one of my Mint Goof Ups. Pop 1 for the grade at PCGS.

Haha the most remarkable one I have ever witnessed. Someone got a little carried away with the “BID” button imho.

@Shurke that’s a very attractive example and the exact look I’d be going for if I were to build a set of these
