Yes. And 2 of the Mayflower RP silver. I bought those - not sure why, other than it is fun to make it go "unavailable".

I wonder if I could get through to anyone at the Mint who could explain this to me.

It is still available at the Royal Mint.

I wish the Royal Mint would have a sale, I'd buy some more there.

Something amiss with this set, not being shipped, to my knowledge,
Not available in the morning, I've tried almost every day.

I agree which is why I'm increasingly curious.

But why isn't it on back order rather than unavailable? [The RP medal went to back order then unavailable yesterday then back order this morning for 2 coins now back to unavailable.]
Why does the UK have the coins but not the US? [Could be the packaging, but then why not back order if you have the coins?]

    Inquiring minds want to know.

do any of you, like myself, continue to refresh the Mint's page after the magic 7:30 eastern time? since 7:37 and 7:45 were also magic times in the past I still try them just in case, especially if the ASE's don't flip for me at 7:30, even if people are reporting they saw them flip at that time.

No - they are all gone, I suggest you follow my lead and leave the site alone and stop looking until the next hot offering 😝

When they do the update, they do the entire site. It is software on a timer. If anything is updated at 7:30 then everything was updated.

I know you're right jmlanzaf, but I got this one on a monday morning at 4:45 am west coast time after people were reporting that nothing flipped at 4:30 so I'm hopeful I can snag an ASE before it's all over...and I'm up anyway so why not?

That's why I watch the Mayflower gold in another window. It flips every day. If it flips and nothing I want does, I stop waiting.

Has anyone received their silver two coin Mayflower set??? From either mint??

  • DCWDCW Posts: 7,285 ✭✭✭✭✭

Just an update, people as I know the suspense has been killing you: 😆
My ASE arrived today. A full month after ordering it.
I sold it on the first day. So it is already back in the mail.
Just happy to be done with this. Would have loved to get the gold, but only for the opportunity to move the profit into something else.
I really feel like the Mint has opened Pandora's box with these Privy marks. I fully expect another "rarity" coming soon. Maybe 1492 ASEs for Columbus Day or 1776 ASEs for 4th of July.
Good luck to you die hards still in the fight. I will see you when "the next big thing" comes along!

It seems that a solid majority on this forum, perhaps 60 - 70% are only interested if flipping the gold V75. That's incredible given that most here are ostensibly collectors. Given this I just don't understand the end buyers who are driving prices to these levels. What am I missing?

Currently the dealers are buying them up to graded and hope to receive 70's. Once the mast majority has arrived on the market, prices will start taking a dip.

Just like the ERP ASE, the prices climbed all the way to $2K! Now, they've fallen to about $1k and seems to be sitting around there now.

    See you guys tomorrow!

    Supply and demand.
Low mintage. Some people will keep it in OGP so even less to grade. Thus, the population of 69/70 will be low compared to the rest of the series by the sheer nature of availability.
    Lesson over.

That's interesting. You're the first person I've heard who hasn't gotten the UK sets shipped yet.

Thanks for your thoughts on my questions guys.

It amazes me is that there are end buyers of graded 69s and 70s at the current prices.

A week and 4 minutes ago was quite the time to be trying.
