I have looked at this for months and another CU member's addition this month convinced me that it was time to pull the trigger.
Wow, that is a fantastic addition. Congrats!

Beauty card! I trust you have compared this one to the trimmed one that UFFDAH bought last year from PWCC. Not saying it looks trimmed but there are only so many of these. I trust the PWCC card was destroyed but who knows.

Hi 80sOPC. I understand from other collectors that the suspect card called into question was not trimmed, but rather was cleaned/re-colored of production spots. There is always risk of alteration, but I trust the dealer/seller and I actually see a production spot or two on this copy that did not hold me back from buying this.
@UFFDAH: Thanks for showing your copy. It was motivation for me to move on something that does not become available often.
What's a vintage card guy like me doing posting a Mike Trout rookie? Hell I don't know who I am anymore. Anyways, I buy a few packs of cards from Target every year and throw the cards in a box. I went through the box of 2010 to 2019 Topps cards weeks ago and WHALA! Out of 30 2011 US cards I had there sat a Trout rookie. Haa Haa just got it back from PSA yesterday. My weekend is made!
so I couldn't resist, picked up another ITP Wade in addition to the one I posted earlier in the month (new one on the right). And I guess I wasn't the only person picking up Strawberry this month either.
With all the excitement over the modern PSA 10 stuff lately, sometimes that creates value in other sectors. I like all baseball cards; vintage to modern so long as it is beautiful, significant and, preferably, Yankees though that’s not a requirement. As many are aware, I am a firm believer that you can still have a lot of fun with lower grade cards, too. Like this card. It is beat up. Bad. And that was reflected in the price. And yet, I think if you choose to see it, there is great beauty, too, present. Maybe it was it in a wallet or the spokes of some kid from Brooklyn who loved ‘dem Bums? It was well loved and well traveled. Saw some action. Just adds to the appeal. And all I know is this: this man is one of the more important figures in American history, not just baseball history. So, I’ll take his rookie card in no doubt poor condition and admire its beauty anyway.

Been busy and just getting around to posting. Got one for my 48 leaf boxing set. 8 to go! And 3 for my baseball greats collection. The Seaver is a BGS 6.5. I am in love with the 1970 topps Clemente and Jackson. Great looking cards for the grade. I'd argue the Clemente looks better than the Jackson a full grade lower.

When I first saw this rack my reaction was "That's Incredible" !!
Fran is the Man but what else is neat is another collector pointed out to me that Fred Cox is the original inventor of the Nerf Football!! He is also the Viking's all time leading scorer.
Two NFL players that had major positive impacts both on and off the field making this a special rack.
If your a Viking fan....Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" and a big horn of Beer to chug would be fitting to go with this rack!

Happy about that Chipper / Andruw dual slabbed it for resale !!
I've been putting together the 1987 Quaker Sports Illustrated mini-poster set for a while, reaching the end. @erikthredd helped me out this week with the Jordan, it's not only great to knock this off my list but to also have something from a player collection that I really admire makes it even nicer. Eric also threw in a very cool early 90's Nike Air Force One advertising card for my David Robinson collection.

Pulled this one over the weekend out of a jumbo box.
Bought this one in a private deal from my favorite year as a kid.
Decided that after defending him on the message boards, I needed a Walker rookie!
Why is it when this guys name left off? When people talk about the GOAT.
