Basketball theme for me in the month of May. I added this 88 Fleer pack to my run. The MJ AS pack also has a Reggie Miller RC inside the pack. When you grow up in the 80’s and especially in New England, Larry was like a God when he played. I picked up his debut / 1st NBA all-star game signed ticket and to boot it was Magic’s debut AS game. He signed the ticket as well.

Remember last month when i said my wife was gonna kill me? I'm still alive. Still working on my base ball greats. First a 58 Hank Aaron. Looked at several that were a grade higher and cheaper. But buy the card not the holder right? This one blew the others away. And a Martinez rookies. Still hate Beckett holders.
For the record, I think that with the respect to the grade of ‘Poor’ on the ‘56 Action Pictures, it’s possible that a mistake was made. There’s not a rip, a tear or a crease to be found. Soft corners and a few indents but it just looks ridiculous in a PSA 1 holder when I’ve seen pinholed cards get 1.5 and even the occasional 2.
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
Got in a few big maildays this week. I downgraded from my 87 & 88 Fleer Sticker PSA 9's to these two 8's below that looked just as good as the 9's then used the profits to add the rest to my PC.
These next two will both get cracked and subbed to PSA,I loved the centering on both. The All-Star card was .5 away from grading Gem Mint and I'm really looking forward to see how it grades out with PSA.
These last two I'm probably going to try crossing to PSA 8. The 87 sticker has three 9.5 subgrades w/ a 7.5 on surface so i'm hopeful that It will come back an 8. The Magnetables is just a really tough set to grade high seeing that it's actually a magnet but this one looks real nice, front & back,so we'll see how that goes.
Got these along with the rest of the action set in today, but they already have seen a quick turnaround headed to Newport Beach in multiple subs sent out today
Please excuse cell phone pics. Just took a quick snap before packaging
Here are two more recent pickups. This first one is a 1985 Nike Air Jordan 6x8 Promo card. there were two versions, one with the fascimile autograph and one without. They were distributed one card inside of each box when you purchased a pair Nike's Air Jordan's sneakers. These were also given away to MJ fans that had sent Mike an autograph request thru the mailduring that era. Unfortunately this one does have some creases but overall I'm just happy to finally own one.
I also grabbed this 87 Entenmann's PSA 9 after selling my PSA 8 awhile back.
I was about to jump on the 87 Traded Tiffany Maddux just a few weeks ago. Decided to hold off. Bad move. These cards, like most of the 80’s, have shot up. Settled for the basic Topps. Still love it! I didn’t collect Tiffany as a kid, so the base Topps means just a little more to the nostalgic collector in me.
Two more for my '61 HOF set with the Dodger Southpaws pulling double duty to getting every Topps multi-player card from the 50's and 60's with at least one HOF.
@orioles93 appreciated the PM about the Rolen thanks !!
Some recent slabs back all football from a box I broke with John (jpcz). Decided to send them in and see what happened.
The Smith Blue Shimmer # to 10 was going to be a surprise gift to a collector except he died of Covid19-- the only person I personally know who has even gotten sick much less died from it. The Love Green Scope auto # to 75 was going to another collector who does Giants, who then decided I should keep it and resell. So I'l be reselling them all.
The Gradner Minshew hoping the season starts soon.

I couldn't pass this one up. Maybe because it was originally owned by another Jason or maybe because my wife and I have been rewatching The Golden Girls for the umpteenth time while in self-quarantine. Either way, it's a winner in my book!
Three new rookie additions. The Kent has been elusive to me for quite some time with there only being 117 PSA 10s out there. Decided the length I've waited was worth overpaying for it by about $20.
What I Collect:

I picked up 2 1979 Topps football cello packs for my collection, one with Payton Record Breaker on top and the other with Roger Staubach on back. The Payton pack also has Ted Hendricks on the back, a double hall of fame pack is pretty cool.
Nice Ted "The Stork" Hendricks pack.

Nice Ted "The Stork" Hendricks pack.
Sharp looking packs. To kind of quote Sgt. Schultz:"I see nothing(wrong with those packs)".
1977 Payton Auto- Appears to be an older auto of his which I like. Couldn't pass up my favorite card with a beautiful autograph of Sweetness.
PC Walter Payton - Bear Down!
Man, that brings me back to watching Hogan's Heroes as a kid. Can you imagine trying to make a COMEDY about WWII/The Holocaust today? No chance.
Love this thread!
A recent pickup for my Jordan run.
Purchased these 2 from @flatfoot816 . The Shirriff is a new one for me and the team issue is a big upgrade over my PSA 6. Thanks for the deal, Manny!
