Those PCGS OGH slabs with the yellow gasket were a result of the slab gaskets being made of a soft plastic material that was unstable in sun light. I remember a coin shop with a picture window that faced the sidewalk. The coin dealer displayed some inexpensive coins including some in slabs in this window which faced the sun. Every PCGS had a yellow gasket from the sun shining on them. I wonder if it's possible to put a slab of this type in a windowsill that is sunny and watch the gasket turn yellow over a period of time.

Picked this one up earlier this year for almost nothing. Kind of figured between the holder and the decent color (looks nicer in hand) it was worth picking up even if it's a common coin.

Posted this elsewhere, but belongs in the OGH thread!

@Bob13 sent me this, and it arrived today. I mean I did have to pay him for it too, but you know, that's how it goes!
I think this makes the cut for a nice coin in an OGH. Not my normal type of half dollar, but I'm definitely not complaining!

There are a lot of awesome coins this this thread. Just wow!
Here is something closer to what @TomB likes. Not as flashy as his coins but kinda close to Ireland and England.
One I own before it got beaned

Here's another 79-S for comparison. Loved that gasket phase they went through.
