Finally got a beaver 🦫 I’ve been looking for. WW2 especially the 42 has been tricky. Price on these is always good but the dates can be a little tough 😉
I'm fortunate to have recently received a large collection from my father and now I'm hooked. These are the 3rd and 4th purchases I've made of my own but 1st and 2nd to receive. My first purchases, type 1 and 2 2021 ASE, will be presented by Santa. I didn't have any preserved Kennedys or Ikes so I thought these two beauties were a good start.

Great to see you have added to the collection. Just a heads up that leaving the barcode allows people to look the coin up. If you take the time to remove the cert # you may want to cover that as well.
My 1848 CAL o/s on my 1876-S Liberty Head Double Eagle from Daniel Carr arrived a day early……..and it’s really pretty! Just the right amount of ghosting to show the date of the O/S coin.
Here’s the first new addition to my dime album. Yesterday I put the 10 that were here, in their places. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the album 😉

Awesome looking coin and great job by DC Moon Light Mint!!!
1876-S Type I/I Trade Dollar. Lightly cleaned. AU58 details, or so, to me. Needed the die state for this die pair. Nice obverse radial die break crossing the crack at the stars. The first three stars also exhibit die fatigue.
Just received another coin for my Peace dollar rattler set, this required an aggressive bid but I think it’s worth it. In addition to the bean, it’s the B1 early die type with detached olive branch.
Although this coin is not a new purchase to me, it is cool since I just got this back from PCGS where it crossed over from a NGC MS65. It is now a MS-65+
This thread gives me an excuse to post my proof Barber half again. It is the only proof in my collection and it really has a lot of flash. I know it is a cameo (not on the OGH label) but wonder if it is a DCAM with its strong mirrors. Dunno! In any event, I was happy to pick this up at the Baltimore show. I'm cool with a one coin purchase at a show since it needs to be special to me. Not cheap, unfortunately

The longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it possible for an empire to rise without His aid? Benjamin Franklin

Amazing looking coin!
How many inches are the mirrors?
PCGS defines PL as 2-4 inches and DMPL as over 6 inches.
PCGS wrote:
PCGS defines surface Prooflike as clear reflection in the fields on both sides as viewed from two to four inches away. A misty effect or striations may impede the reflectivity.
The PCGS definition for Deep Mirror Prooflike is clear reflection in the fields on both sides from at least six inches away. There must be full, undistorted reflectivity on both the obverse and reverse.
