Nice. I was at the coin store yesterday and handled that Washington/Carver coin, as it turned out, though the one I saw wasn't in as good shape as yours.

I couldn't resist - just iPhone photos but I like the coins. I could have grabbed another set the morning these were available for an hour but just resisted the urge! Previous purchase was the 2019 reverse proof that still sits in the box unopened...is it really a coin then?

I don't think I've posted this one yet. George Washington- GW-464 Paquet 1st Obverse Soley 2nd Liberty Bell Die Copper
I've been told that's what this is
At first, looked cut with something? But when I further examined, the issue on the obverse looks as if it's convex (raised appearance) ? The two issues on the reverse, does look concave (hole appearance). So why would one side look convex and another side look concave? Wouldn't both sides appear concave if cut?
That's the first issue. The other issue is on the date. Right of the "9"? What in the world?
RPM? Thanks guys

The '43-S appears to be processed, that is, plated. That's probably what's causing the illusion of an RPM.
I've been on a bit of a "Hudson-Fulton" kick as of late. I put the blame squarely on @coinsarefun with @Zoins getting a nomination for best "supporting actor."
Had I know of the sheer variety of sizes and metals out there, I may have tempered myself . . . . . but perhaps, just perhaps, I corrupted myself by chasing all the Daniel Carr medal series in brass, copper, silver, color-toned, antiqued, struck and overstruck, blah, blah, blah . . . . . . . . .
Anyway, here are the recent arrivals:
The Hudson-Fulton Banquet medal complete with original case:
Over the last 6 weeks I have been looking for a Ty2 Liberty Double Eagle for the Daniel Carr 1848 CAL overstrike. With only one week left to get a suitable candidate I decided to get this one. It's now off to DC for a face lift. I can't wait to see this one and the 1908-O I ordered.

That is a super nice coin and a great date! I love CC Morgan’s - my favs are this date you have, plus 1878, 1885 and 1990!

Just got this one this evening. AU55. One coin closer to completing my IH quarter eagle date set-now I need only four.
Not sure I made the right decision on this one. But I offered 18X face and made the deal.
I bet you'll be fine. Kind of hard to tell what's in the bag (worn Mercs?) But dollars at 18X is cheap!! Good luck.
