Got these 3 quarters in change from the drive-thru today. Not bad for 20 year old quarters and Ohio to boot.......Somebody must be having hard times and is spending uncirculated rolls of state quarters to buy beer - Sorry about the pics, my lighting is set for circulated roll finds not shiny clads.........
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Am not very sure if the following were from a much older CRH of Kennedy halves and Sacagawea dollars or not, but was just re-discovered from a tiny box of odds and ends containing nuts screws and bolts etc.
I have absolutely no recollection as to when, where and how they came in to my possession and got tossed to the side for safe keeping along with a few other coins.
Recent CRH finds.
1956 Silver Washington quarter. Seems strange but in the last four boxes of quarters, I found 4 silver quarters, one in each box!
My 12th "W" mint quarter: Look out Joey! I'm catching up! Only 110 or so more!!. This one shows some wear but is not as bad as it looks!
A 1955--s Lincoln cent: These were very difficult to find even in the 1960's!
A neat 1979-P SBA with die cracks all around on both sides!!! I have not seen anything like this on an SBA. I am wondering if there are later progessions. All die cracks, not scratches. The red parts are due to lighting, not paint.

Hey! Thats my general area as well! Well, I haven't been to the bank in a while so I don't know. Joey must be in the hospital experiencing coin withdraw symptoms

I have a good feeling about this one?
Good luck - I like searching penny cent rolls the most!
Thanks
Yes, the odds are quite higher finding "something" than any other denomination.
I have a silly feeling about this box, like I mentioned earlier.
Maybe, something even bigger than a common key date?

Got my first solid roll of 2022 nickels from the credit union, I'm forced to open it since it's got some pretty heavy rolling machine damage showing. Wish me 68's and maybe there will be a 66 in there lol!!!
Chase had just gotten 9 rolls of small dollars so I grabbed those...Soooo think about mules and Cheerios for me lol

This looks like an older or different roll from what I've been seeing lately. I haven't opened it yet but there are 2000-P's on both ends.
Looks original vendor rolled legit...do your best white glove search.
Although, if you got it at the bank it's been around and moved around and bumped around for quite a while.
I wish you luck! These are my favorite kind of rolls

Oh - I do know if you brush a paper roll with a wire brush it tends to make it look "OLD". To me a 22 year old roll that was probably stored shouldn't look that way - it was a selling point. Don't want to be a party pooper but just telling some of the tricks roll sellers will pull - best of luck!

Well, not this roll! This guy has been sitting somewhere for 22 years. All uncirculated stunning mint states. Never been used in circulation or commerce in my opinion. 65's or 66's, maybe a few 67's. All have very minor bag or tick marks. No Cheereo's or Speared Eagles. Not worth grading. My non-professional grading skills don't see any 68's or 69's. I can't afford to keep them. I pulled the best one out to upgrade my type set. They're getting thrown back for someone else to find.

You obviously missed my point about how they "AGE" the rolls. Of course the coins are UNC but they brush the paper rolls with a wire brush to age it and make it more exciting to get- I have 2000 Sacs that look brand new - If need be I'll dig one out tomorrow and post a pic. Roll collectors have to do research and not be so gullible to fraud.

Very nice Joey and what grade would you give it? I know it doesn’t really matter, it’s about the silver but recently I realized I’ve focused completely on modern MS grades in one or three different series and have never given too much thought for lower grades.
I may be way off but here I would wager, 20. What say y’all?
Let me just say that it looks like finding the 67s and 68s in the 2022 nickels is going to be a CHALLENGE!
These nickels not only have plenty of slide marks and chatter but also tons of really sharp dings and nicks.
Also the mirrored fields around Jefferson's portrait are mostly not so smooth... Certainly could be only representative of this one single roll lol.
Also I think I may have gotten an improperly annealed nickel in this single roll, check it out and please tell me what you think.
The nicest one in the roll with an actual mirrored field, only a couple others were smooth like this
The nicest one in the roll with what most of those empty fields looked like
IMPROPERLY ANNEALED?
Just for color comparison to what all the rest look like...

unless a sufficient and accurate reason is provided in this thread, it may be worthy of it it's own. probably some type of pmd from counting machines or something along those lines but i don't think we really see that kind of damage. (not that i look at the edges of non-reeded coins, ever really.
perhaps some sharper/bigger close-ups? maybe this big, if possible. if you upload original, sharp images, we can tweak on our end if you aren't comfortable with doing that. thanks for sharing!
I’m not familiar with improperly annealed planchets but I can tell you I’ve had the same experience with banged up modern Nickels. You’ll either have to search tons of rolls to find that lucky one fresh off of new dies and also that landed on top or purchase mint sets in hopes of finding a good one.
Either way it’s a struggle🤪 hence the value of higher grades.
Good luck you know they’re out there.
These two along with 22 others are packed and ready to be shipped tomorrow.
The 76 is a mediocre grade but going for toning and I’m hoping the 04 hits 68PL happily settle for either but both would be a walk off homer.

OOhhhh that quarter is looking so lovely
Gotta take the honest guess at your '04...
I think the '04 is going to do (hopefully) a 67. PL from your photos is a "likely" from me !
I'm seeing lot's of chatter on the obverse rim and some more especially along the bottom of the bust...maybe just surface quality there.
On the reverse I'm seeing many light touches especially in the North East quadrant... But I sincerely wish you a 68!!!!!

Best of Luck! I have found a couple of 30's S mint roll hunting.
Just an update on my weekend...
Fun to find in circulation, only 3.8 million, 2015 D
Those 9 customer rolls from Friday had about a dozen pink Sac's like this...someone was playing with copper plating
Went and played in a poker tournament this weekend, got a roll of halves in the casino and this was in it, clad but so cool to find in a single roll!
Later got 2 bucks of quarters for the mixed nut vending machine in the casino, they are super duper nice!
