I think there’s more to it than just off-center it almost looks broad struck or something typically the in God we trust isn’t over the edge. Looks really cool you may want to post it on the main forum to get more info.

I always went buy the top loops of the 8 is smaller then the lg date. In the lg both are the same size. Maybe I’m wrong. I can see what you are saying about the 2 but man that top of the 8 looks small to me… I’m getting old.

This weeks half dollar finds - 2-($500) boxes searched.
40% 8 coins.
2-1967, 4-1968-D and 2 1969-D total eight 40%. 2 rolls had 2 in them and one roll had 3 and one roll had one. In the roll with 3 40% silvers in it, all three were stacked one on top of each other all together.
NIFC's-8 total including a 1987
No proofs or 90%.
Finding any silver is a great box to me, so 8 is a fantastic box.

Only suggestions really are to use the loupe that you're most comfortable with, I always use a 30x power. When at home, I love using my USB Scope, 1500x power. Have patience and be persistent! That is key. Most of all, have FUN. Good Luck

Here’s an off-center I found earlier this year and notice where the in God we trust is in the correct place.
See how mine looks like a regular planchet were the die missed and on yours it looks like it’s been struck on both.
