    How cool is this?!
I haven't found a silver war nickel in an honest 25 boxes or so...Actually I think none this year! Until this morning...

Cool find and those numbers are not good. You're searching fed though correct? Or have those been better..

Loomis rolls, Denver area. Most have been from Chase. My silver war nickel finds seemed to have died off dramatically since about 2019.

What about these on the west and far south sides?

Die cracks on these war nickels are very common.

They were released into circulation on August 14th...again, I live only about 5 miles (as the crow flies) from the Denver mint and they just showed up in some change today. Still none in boxes yet. Only took about 7 weeks lol

    Found today in bank roll:

Posted in a different thread, because I couldn't find this one!

Those are always a shock to the system when roll hunting, I’ve found two I think and amazing how they blended in for so long.

This old roll jumped out at me. I did a little research on Union Trust before I opened the roll. The bank went out of business back in the 80's.

Looks like an original bank roll but nothing! :s

Oak : "How often you guys finding circulated proof silver?"

I have found several proofs (pictures posted) but not yet a silver.

Here are some finds from change last week :

The Idar Quarter is "Perfect" and nice.

The 1977 $1 note is crisp and almost new and was a big surprise.

Hard to believe people breaking silver proof's out of proof sets and spending them but those people obviously don't know what they have.

    A fun little collection dump...

My favorite Chase teller said she had a customer bring in some Loomis rolls.
As soon as I saw them I could tell they were faded and had been sitting around for some time.
    It's a dump of someone's America The Beautiful rolls from 2002 - 2008.

I decided to open the one marked 2006 since it had been broken and was taped on the side from someone dropping it most likely...sure enough, a solid fresh roll of 2006 South Carolinas.
That was a good one to open first since they need to be in MS67 or 68 to be worth anything.
There was maybe one MS66 in there and they have zero toning, all nice blast white..

Which roll would you open next knowing that MS66 is likely the max grade in any of these?

That’s when I stop opening them. OK maybe one more… Or two :-)

This must be my "lucky" week for old notes. Picked up the 1969 $1
in change. Also posted another with an Irish Shamrock clover
imprint. I suspect this was stamped on - wishful that it could be
like the Del Monte $20 which was on auction recently. What Luck !

Any thoughts on how this imprint came to be ??? (not at-from the BEP ?)

BTW both of the serial numbers are quite very interesting, if you notice !
