Hello all CRHers! I am a new member to this forum, but I have been reading these posts for over a year now. I became interested in CRHing about the middle of last year. I looked through my old piggy bank, and thought that it was amazing that I was able to find a 1920 Wheatie still in circulation. I went online on my parents phones and found this thread. I got so much great info from it, and I probably wouldn't have continued to CRH without it. Gradually I increased my coin volume to the point that I am totally obsessed. I have made some amazing finds, and hope to post my future finds here. I really appreciate this thread and the people who post here.

Now, that I have a moment to expand on this one hole filler.
Beautiful specimen with hardly a nick on her (sound familiar). Pleasant dirt toning and the Shield is silky smooth as a babies butt but, imo this one will struggle to get past 65. Weak Strike!
I'll go with Murphy's Law here, you can't have it both ways, very often anyway.
I stopped at my favorite credit union with the free change sorter today and ran thru a couple full mason jars I collected up this year. After that I "took the long way home". The way with the gas station with the cheapest gas and the free vacuums. Gassed and vacuumed then decided to check out a few banks on the way home. A teller at one took out an 1888 Morgan and said I could have everything but that! I don't blame him, he asked what it was worth and I took out my phone and asked it. I showed him the results. He was happy. It was getting late but just had time to check another credit union before closing and asked for halves. I was told Jeff had the halves and the tellers pointed at him. He said he had $140 worth which I said I'd take. He then said "all the rolls have the dates on them". I said that is cool. Well they came as advertised. I now have another favorite credit union. The only odd thing was why the three rolls of the 1992's? Anyone know something about the 1992's that I don't?
I finished yesterday's hunt, a $50 bag of pennies yielded six wheaties (not very good) including a 1929-D. $200 in Loomis nickels had four buffaloes & two wars, as well as a very black and poorly struck 1954-P. $750 in dimes had two silvers and a decimo. (Also not my best.)

I have around 250 mint sets arriving over the next few days. I’m going to need a few winners to cover costs.
And for the first time will actually keep this lot separate from the rest so that I can put actual profit or loss numbers to it after the grading is done and the leftovers are sold.
I’m feeling optimistic that my purchasing and grading skills have improved. Obviously, both require a certain degree of luck. My last two subs were well into the black so I’m looking to tighten it up even further by being more selective and less reactive.
I work remotely on Fridays... Guess what's going to happen after work today...

Last month was almost unbelievable for nickels. I got 1 shield nickel, 2 V nickels, 24 buffaloes, and 8 wars out of $1500. Most of it came from this really good box that had 3/4 of those listed, with many of the buffaloes in particular. Soon I will post my totals for the month, right now I am still working on it.

Got this from a voucher casher in a local casino. This is the first ever V nickel that I found in actual circulation. I did find a few junker v nickels coin roll searching. It is a very junky 1896. I will throw it back for some future numismatist to find and get excited about. It is too junky to be worth more than face value.
Just finishing up a box I had started a year or so ago and in this batch of 12 rolls I have so far found the following wheaties and a 2000 S proof along with a 1989 halfway decent looking Lincoln that I will hang onto.

The shield nickel is my first and only one in my collection of that type, and the oldest coin I have ever found. The 1887 is also in very fine (literally) condition.

Well the first batch was a bust. Obviously these aren’t the Grandioso collected mint sets that I thought they were going to be. Props to the seller for the pics. I’ll have to be just as crafty to move these and I’ll just leave that right there :-)
Next up! Second batch same seller expectations low but I’m gonna stay optimistic :-)

Finally after a string of 2019, a 2020 W V75 Bat. Quality is definitely on the decline... Stacking for 2024 eBay sales..

"They came as advertised", well almost. There was a 1965 in the roll the 1964's. Everything else was solid.

Or is that less selective as in quit picking so many already. Seems like half of every order is just dumb stuff but I just had to try it out.
Case in point: Cool looking coin though it would’ve been a better pocket piece at MS 62. Rim dings smash die polish.
This one however still grabbed a 67 even with the hit..almost got there but still looking for 68.
