I found a PL 1968-D nickel while searching. Does anyone know what this might be worth? Pretty low MS if that.

In the memory bank mostly and a special box for all of the insignificant finds. If they’re decent they get graded.
    Here’s one.

No, no, don't be encroaching on my territory, there is not enough room for competition. :D I am sorry about the foot, I had to stand up to take that photo, and my foot escaped my notice..... :|
I have to pat myself on back for how fast I did that report though, usually it is well into the next month. :)

Box 1 Nickels- More Black Buffaloes!

    Box 2

    Total-9 Buffaloes, 1 war; Buffaloes are 1914, 1916, 1919, 1920-D, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1935, and 1936. War is 1945-D

The story of the black buffaloes: about 3 weeks ago, before I joined, I had this super box of nickels that had 17 buffs (14 were blackened), 4 wars, and 1 V. This week my two boxes each had a few rolls from the dump, especially the first one, resulting in amazing amounts of buffaloes.

P.S. : Don’t get used to me getting awesome finds regularly, I have had weeks with no keepers at all.

Well the first batch was a bust. Obviously these aren’t the Grandioso collected mint sets that I thought they were going to be. Props to the seller for the pics. I’ll have to be just as crafty to move these and I’ll just leave that right there :-)

This is my best ever find in dimes. From the 2nd box.

    Box 1 results: 1 merc, 1 Rosie.

    Box 2: 1 Barber, 5 rosies

Box 3: Back to reality, skunked.
    Total: 1 Barber, 1 merc, 6 rosies.

    What is this beginners luck?!

No, I have to call this a recent blessing, for pretty much all my finds over the past year and a half have been beaten within the past month or so. I also would like to mention that I have been reading this thread for over a year before I ever posted.
    Included are 1 of 1 barber(100%), 1 of 1 shield nickels(100%), 2 of 5 V nickels(40%), and 37 of 65 or so buffalo nickels(~50%).
I think it is safe to say that I have had an amazing past month.

Also, I would like to mention that next Thursday, I am leaving North Fl for Illinois, where I'm from, to visit before Christmas. I am going to order some coins from our old bank there so I have something to do. So, next week I will still pick up my Wednesday order, it will be a box of halves instead of two of the usual boxes of dimes.

Today's hunts: $44.50 in cents, $20 in nickels, $100 in dimes, and $600 in quarters. Results: 10 wheats including a 1936-S, my first, which leaves only 6 wheats that are 1934 and forward that I haven't found. Also a 20€¢ and a Colorado cud in the quarters. Dimes and nickels were skunks.

Customer rolls are like that, sometimes they are full of goodies, other times people have picked out the goodies. The good news though is that you aren’t going through anything I’ve went through recently. :)

100 rolls are a better percentage of Silver. I hope anyway?

    Speaking of dimes @joeykoins & @Coinscratch
    Did some more...about 30 rolls of 2022 D.

It's the one that's worth the least out of the 2022 dimes.

This is the only one I pulled! And he was challenge for some on the spot pics...

That's a lot of dimes, good luck!

I haven't forgotten about our dime quest I got side tracked with the 70's & 80's after a recent run but will be looking at a lot of different moderns in the New Year.

The other day I received a Bessie and a 2022 quarter (don't remember which one) in change and was quite impressed the mint is still making luster.

I love dimes. I'll go look at my stats, but either halves or dimes have the best silver percentage for me.

Yes that was the major part of it along with the fact that my interests of late have morphed into mint sets.

At first I thought it was a dig on me and I made a couple of slight handed comments :-) then realized it was more of a broader statement and as usual he has a great point! There’s really nothing official or unofficial about any thread for that matter.

Do you think that I should change the name on my official bill hunting thread in the currency forum? I really don’t have a mind to.

Absolutely not! Like I mentioned I was considering editing the title anyway just never did because I was afraid of the Poof.
But at that point in time I no longer cared, I'm good now.

How many 2000 P Sacajawea coins would you say you’ve seen hunting?

I hear GC has one of the Mule examples coming to auction which is going to be very interesting to watch.
And even more interesting to hunt some more of these.

I probably have checked a couple thousand this year. I honestly don't do many dollars, but most of my dollars that I get from my banks are 2000-Ps because I am on the Philly side of the country. I mostly focus on cents, nickels and dimes. Quarters just usually aren't that good, and recently halves have been skunk after skunk. I do ask for dollars occasionally, and I keep any big dollars that I get(about ten over the past year). Probably the dollars that I went through yesterday will be most of what I get for the month.

Tomorrow I will pick up $500 in halves, $250 in dimes, and $200 in nickels.
I will leave on Thursday evening, drive 900 miles, and pick up the order I placed today in Illinois on Monday, which is $500 in dimes and $500 in nickels.
Hoping to strike it big on the halves, not much luck though recently with them.

    Speaking of Mint sets...

I've opened only one of these 4 sets...and I'm impressed.
Nice luster, nice strikes, nice condition for most of them.
I did the kind of lazy thing and took some pics using window sunlight...

@Kurisu yes those do look nice. Last night I was checking and counting mint sets to sell and as I was quickly going through them I noticed a couple of the Denver 06 satin quarters that really stood out with heavy strikes compared to the others.
I might have to resubmit those to the coin desk lol.

    Latest quarter finds.
Seven boxes searched. First to say that "W" quarters have suddenly almost disappeared!!
Only one found. I used to average one "W" quarter a box!
    "W" # 65

    .
    .
First clipped planchet quarter I have ever found- a 1995-P

    Maya Anjealou
    DDO-001- #'s 40 & 41

    .
    DDO-002 - # 40

I have not found any Jovita or Maria quarters yet even though the Jovita quarters have been out for some time.

Ok, I got another box of quarters.

    DDO-002 #41

    I have found 41 DDO-001 and 41 DDO-002 Maya Anjealou quarters, but no DD0-003 or DDO-004's yet.

Two "W"s in this box - #'s 66 and 67 -Both Tall Grass Prairies! Of all the "W" mint quarters, the Tall Grass Prairies are the ones I find the most of.
