It will be a slow month for me I think. Here are a couple of pickups that arrived in April. Two of the best to ever do it. My second TC Durant in as many months. I have been picking up a lot of Kobe cards recently. I am neither a Laker fan nor a Kobe fan, but his cards seem to sell at a large discount to MJ and Lebron and I have a hard time passing on them because of that.
I got some really fantastic stuff this month, but unfortunately my laptop is down and I can’t use my scanner. Here is a random phone pic of one of my pickups, nothing fantastic, but happy to own it. Numbered /25.
Purchased raw with hope for a high grade. I’ve given up on trying to actually grade 1962 Topps as they’re just a beast to get a handle on so I’ll simply say this one has good potential, was bought from a reputable seller who thought very highly of it and it passes the eye test(s) for me...

This arrived today and, since it wouldn’t have scanned well anyway, a couple cell phone pics will do. I have about 700 playing-era Yaz items and a bunch of football soda caps, but this is my first Yaz cap. I apologize in advance because I suspect the photos will display larger than I intended.

There are only a handful of Running Backs that had "IT" when they ran the ball and Emmitt was one of them. He was so fun to watch!! Great cards!!
Thanks!
I agree. He was a special talent. Watching him at UF, I knew he was going to be great in the NFL. I was on cloud 9 when Jimmy Johnson snagged him in the draft. His inner drive/determination is what separated him from other players. Couple that with crazy talent and you get a hof rb
I don't dabble too much into sports outside of basketball, but I was happy to get this card for it's minimum bid ($99.99 plus shipping). I collected hockey cards growing up, but this is probably one of less than 10 hockey cards I own today. Exquisite was a really big deal in basketball when Upper Deck had its NBA license. I know (in basketball at least) Exquisite was more popular for their Autos, Patches and RPA's but I was surprised to see his base RC go for so little. I guess the Young Guns is valuable due to popularity, but getting an Exquisite serial numbered RC for half of an ungraded Young Guns seems backwards to me.
A pick up from auction last evening. Still working on 4 of the signatures, but the ones I've made out so far are: Tom Landry, Bob Lilly, Mike Ditka, Calvin Hill, Mike Clark, Jethro Pugh, Roger Staubach, Ernie Stautner, Lance Rentzel, Craig Morton and Duane Thomas.
This one caught my eye this past week, and struck a nostalgia nerve in me. This one is not an "investment" pickup but rather a "hold for life and not worry about it" purchase (I collect both ways). Perhaps some day I'll even build the 1970 set in about this condition.
Picked this up with my eBay bucks. I am now just waiting on a 2003 at a reasonable price and a 2001 (in PSA 10 if another one pops up as it is currently a pop 5) to complete my basic Topps set.
Another Kobe card for me, lol. I love TC Refractors and am quietly working on putting together a run of HOF TC Refractors. Not sure if I will grade all of them, but I will definitely get all the big names graded (or like in this case, buy already graded).

Wow great piece! What's the plan for it? I really don't know the over all dimensions but it would look great slabbed if possible.
Upgraded my PSA 6 Carter to a PSA 8 for a fair price. Added another 48 Leaf to my set.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

Thanks! I believe it might be slightly too big for the jumbo holder. If so, It will be framed for the wall of my office. I was pretty darn excited to win it!

Added a 67 T cello to the collection. Bit OC but still a 67.
Amazing pack. I didn't know 67's came in anything but OC anyway, lol. Great addition.

Nice pickup Monte on the Drysdale card - that’s a beauty.

In the world of the esoteric.
1931 Blue Ribbon Malt premium card Johnny Kerr
Card is approximately 5X7" blank backed.
I have a 2011 catalog and there's 7 cards to the set (which is subject to change or already changed?)
Of interest is having the original mailer that the card came in - and the name of the recipient is about as long as I've ever seen - 16 letters!
Kerr was also in the 33G set - I think he was also in a PCL set - I believe an Exhibit card?

Absolutely my favorite card - still need to buy one - love the simplicity of the ‘53 Bowman set - truly a beautiful card.

Back from PSA on Thursday. There was also a 2017 Panini Mahomes Rookie Threads PSA 10 but I must have deleted the pic. You can see it on Ebay, lol
Here are my latest purchases. All are for sets I'm working on. The 59 Covington cost me about $15 after using my eBay Bucks
Just got this one back from PSA. Considering centering problems with this issue, I am very happy.
Bit of a dry spell lately but did score this one....
Beautiful Potvin @Greedoguy !
