Ripped my 2005/06 hockey and 2001 golf tonight. No Crosby or Tiger, but scored a Robitaille Game Jersey and a Kuchar Sign of the Times autograph. My 3 golf packs were pretty strong - the Sign of the Times is 1:12 and I also got a Duval Shot Makers (1:10) and a Parnevik Honor Roll (1:4).

Let everybody get their packages in 1st lol. Mine isn’t coming now until Wednesday. Also I doubt this will ever be a monthly thing. It takes way too long to do it correctly.
76 FB cello.....best hit - Csonka....couple commons are 10ish
80-81 BK wax....got the Bird Rookie!! (no, not the one with Magic/Erving, but card looks great
2 x 84 FB wax...nothing great(Morton Andersen RC (O/C)
2 x 86 FB wax...pulled a Rice rookie!...great side to side but a little thinner on top. Also pulled a Payton Record Breaker
Do I rip em?
Successful transactions with FavreFan1971, ffishonn, Davemri, Publius, DavidPuddy, frcarvell, recbball, and many others...
For those contemplating ripping or keeping, my 84 Topps FB were awful quality-wise but the 86 Topps FB were very nice. Hit a decent amount of really nice low pop commons.
2 Packs of 80-81 Basketball and as best I can tell, I got these showing on the back:
Bridgeman - Bird - Brewer
Knight - Leavell - Lucas
Real excited to have a Bird showing. These will both make their way back to Steve to authenticate prior to being slabbed as I need one for the Master set + the Bird unopened is a keeper for sure.
Well I said to myself I was only going to op 2 82 Topps baseball wax packs and 1 82 Topps Cello baseball, but then like eating chips, I opened all 5 wax and both of my cellos. Results not good. 2 Reggie Jacksons, 1 Brett, 1 Eddie Murray, and the best one was Lee Smith RC a 7 to maybe 7.5, but it was card which had the gum next to it and has big stain on back.
But, it was great fun seeing names I had forgotten about. I will do again for sure. Thanks Steve for doing this!
Finally got around to opening my box this afternoon and was stoked to see this card face out on back of one of my four 1978 OPC wax packs!
Star Wars packs looked very nice, also.
Keeping the two 1982 Donruss FASC boxes swaddled in bubble wrap.
Thanks again Steve & Steve!!

Love that OPC with the Ryan showing!! You instantly know its Ryan - SO COOL!!
So we have seen a Murray and a Ryan. Do I get the Mollie? LOL ..... probably four Don Kirkwoods if he made this shortened set
That would be alarming as that card is not in the 78 OPC set.

LOL you know I know NOTHING about OPC ..... hahahahah
How about Reggie or Brett? And now that I think about it I can see why that card wouldn't be in a super shrunk set ... they were all nobody's back then!
for those who will be allowing golf cards to breathe, there is a glimmer of hope. my rip was very underwhelming, which is exactly where my bar of expectations resided and is exactly what i've become accustomed to when i open packs. no rory sightings and a few inconsequential '14 UD SP base tigers........but i did receive a little eye candy, with the Wie /25 rook graph being the best card i pulled. (has a compromised t/r corner tho.)

Nice! You did better than me. I got a full base set (1-50) which I figure is the norm. My autos were underwhelming - a couple no name rookies and an unnumbered auto from this past weekend’s runner-up, Matt Kuchar. I also got an emerald /99 for another no-name.
forgot about Uihlein. i think he's going to make some noise before it's all said and done, so perhaps i can pop a dime and this card will be worth a little somethin somethin one day.
My packs arrived and the above is one of my 80 hoops packs. It’s definitely a Scoring Leaders card but cant tell is this is Larry and Magic? Can anyone tell from the pic?
ikr? if i wasn't presently experiencing mind-warp from eating an entire pizza last night, i'd probably be daydreaming and trying to include myself in some fashion

His career will be over by the time you get the card back from PSA
Looks like mine are due tomorrow. Of course, with my luck, as oppposed to being home by 3, I’ll be in SF for the day and driving home as fast as is safe in rush hour traffic to rip into my blue and white taped box hoping said luck will change. My fingers are crossed.
52-90 All Sports, Mostly Topps, Mostly HOF, and some assorted wax.
Mine arrived today. I'm at work, but luckily my wife was home today to bring the box in before the porch pirates got it! The 82D is staying sealed for sure. The rest I will have to decide after I look at who is showing on the front and back.
Comments
The gum was broken on my basketball pack so I ripped it. No Bird /Magic it's still out there.
Still waiting on mine in California. No offense, but I'm happy about not seeing the Bird/Magic pack unveiled yet

My day got much better.
Got a Jordan sticker on back of 88 Fleer pack - that’s going on for slabbing.
81 T rack has an Eddie Murray on top and Jim Rice on back.
Hard to tell what card is on the back of the 79 Hockey packs!
I have not received mine yet either.
Matt
Something like this?
If you want to DM me some scans I’d be happy to take a shot at trying to figure them out for you.

Results from 3 88 Fleer packs. Very pleased. Forgot how many great players came of age around then.
Now the tough decision. To rip or not the 2 79 Hockey packs....
